When we bought this property in 2013, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.

We have 3 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible. If you see another area, please ask!. Site "Woods" is most secluded. We now have a cabin!! Our "Chalet". It will sleep 4 and has some great amenities. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able to enjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying on our horse farm. We have many chickens, bunnies, a potbelly pig, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 4 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. There are 2 showering options and restroom available.
You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer trail rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake less than 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles and kayaks. Or rent ours!
There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything. Walmart is 12 minutes North of us.

A quick story:
When I was a kid, one of my dad’s best friends’ parents let us use about 20 acres of their farm and woods, where we set up a little campground. We had a small camper, tents, a fire pit, and a track out in the woods where we rode dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides.
The best part was that we could keep our belongings and machines there during the week, so when the weekend came, all we had to do was show up and make memories with family and friends. To this day, we still talk about those times.
With that in mind, we want to rent this cabin out to families so they can experience the same thing. We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to simply show up and focus on creating memories. We hope that keeping things simple will allow for more time riding and enjoying the woods.

Since it’s private property, it’s a safe environment—even for beginner riders.

Hi! My name is Macy, and this is a project that my grandmother, father, brother, and I have been working on together. Our goal is to share our property with families who have children that love to ride.
A quick story:
When I was a kid, one of my dad’s best friends’ parents let us use about 20 acres of their farm and woods, where we set up a little campground. We had a small camper, tents, a fire pit, and a track out in the woods where we rode dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides.
The best part was that we could keep our belongings and machines there during the week, so when the weekend came, all we had to do was show up and make memories with family and friends. To this day, we still talk about those times.
With that in mind, we want to rent this cabin out to families so they can experience the same thing. We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to simply show up and focus on creating memories. We hope that keeping things simple will allow for more time riding and enjoying the woods.

The bungalo at Melissa's alpaca farm was fantastic. I stayed 2 weeks before Christmas, and even when the weather was bitter cold, I stayed warm and comfortable in bed with a heated blanket. I'll be back with a larger group this summer. This is great for a little personal hideaway, or for larger events like family reunions.

Our stay at this cabin was truly lovely. The space felt cozy and private, even with the kids enjoying the loft upstairs. It had everything we needed, and we really appreciated how peaceful and comfortable it was.
The only challenge we experienced was with communication. When an unexpected winter storm came through, we reached out twice to ask whether we could extend our stay for an extra night. We weren’t from the area and were concerned about driving in unsafe conditions. The host responded to other parts of my messages but did not acknowledge the question about availability, which left us unsure how to plan. We ultimately chose to leave early and book an Airbnb for safety.
Overall, the cabin itself was wonderful, but clearer communication during situations like this would have made the experience even better.

The place looked great when we arrived, especially lit up at night. Inside, it had that familiar campfire-and-wood smell that made it feel comfortable right away. The heated blanket was the saving grace of the stay. It was in the 30s, and the small radiator heater struggled to keep up, so most of the evening was spent bundled up together under the blanket.
The cabin is very small, and the property itself isn’t large either, so you can hear some street noise. Being close to town was convenient, though. We grabbed Chinese carry-out and it was surprisingly good after a cold day.
Leslie was thrilled to meet the alpacas, which added a fun moment to the trip. There are several areas set up for groups, and I would definitely come back with friends. The space works well for hanging out and enjoying a simple, low-key getaway.

The grape escape fulfilled my wanderlust garden fairy needs. The sleeping accommodations were magical and cozy, provided with just the right amount of fairy lights and very fitting reading material. The outdoor kitchen was also accommodating, I didn’t need to pack much which was extra appreciated. We really enjoyed staying at Creekside. Ariel is an outstanding hostess and was very helpful. The cottage is adorable and comfortable. Since we went in October, we did not need to use the AC or the heater. If I had to find anything at all to criticize, it’s that there’s no running water, so be sure to bring plenty of water to douse your fire at the end of the night. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant place to stay for getting away from the sound of the Interstate in your backyard. There’s plenty of dining options nearby (we decided to try Mr. Weenie.) There was a well stocked grocery just a bit further down from the drive in.
If you bring your dog(s) be prepared for them to get anxious when the coyotes come out at night.

My partner and I took our three teenage nephews (and dog) and we had the most fun, peaceful weekend at Blooming Bus Farms. This was the perfect place for nature lovers who enjoy some comforts of home. Melissa was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond, and made us feel welcome before setting foot on the land. She let us meet their sweet and funny alpacas, which was a real treat for us city dwellers. The entire property is enchanting and our campsite truly became our home for a couple days. Camp David was a fantastic getaway. To start, the site is easy to find and accessible by stand 2WD vehicles.
The spot feels private. You're in your own little world with a ton of space for the dogs to play. There's swings and benches all over the place for enjoyment.
David is insanely helpful and kind. He stopped by to check in to ensure we understand the generator and composting toilet. His dog is really cute too.
Ultimately, we had a fantastic lazy weekend. The dogs played their hearts out and napped in the sun on the deck. We read our books and carved pumpkins. The firepit corner is quaint and the firewood was good.
