Each have a picnic table and fire ring. You can pull your car right up to your site. Bring your canoe or kayak as we have access to put your boat in right on the property. Or fish from the river bank. There is access to the indoor common area where you will find a bathroom with shower and a place to relax or get in from the weather. There are two coin operated laundry rooms and a soda machine onsite as well. This historic location is just 8 minutes to Rabbit Hash, 18 minutes to Big Bone Lick State Park, and 22 minutes to the Creation Museum. What once started in the mid 1800's as a 240 acre sugar maple tree farm is now our little 18 acres of heaven on earth. Our house was built on the property in 1875. The land is rolling and dotted with flower beds, animals, and beautiful green grass that is mowed weekly. We are bordered by fields and a cemetery that dates back to the 1800's.We are neighbors with those who grow crops, raise beef cows, bison, and alpacas.2 blocks from our driveway is Blue River which offers fishing, kayaking, tubing, and canoeing (if you have your own equipment). Town is 2 minutes away, but there is not much there other than a convenience gas station, aTodd's Great Outdoor Bait Shop, and an engine repair shop. There are often festivals, open Music Jams and community events. "Civilization" is a 30 minute drive to find movies, grocery, shopping, and a public pool. The sky appears to be scattered with diamonds on a clear night and during season the fireflies light the trees up like twinkling lights at Christmas! Learn more about this land: We have an 18 acre mini farm, close to a small town and near a river. We have two small ponds that can be fished in during the early spring, wildlife, and birds to watch.  There are 6 very nice areas for camp sites that allow for privacy and relaxation. Each site has a fire pit and table. We also have just put in a new out house and have a port-a-potty for our campers to use. We are 10 minutes from Interstate 70 and only 30 minutes from Indianapolis. If you are just passing through or arriving late,  let us know and we will be happy to have a campfire started for you. Accommodations can be made for group camping!  We also have a gazebo that can be used for weddings and vow renewals. Officiant on site.

This was a great experience. Went hit tent camping with a few inches of snow on the ground. The hosts were very polite. They cleared the snow off the sand on our site. We were the only ones out there, but each of the 3 or 4 sites is separated by enough Forest that you cannot see one from the other, so it really feels secluded, almost like dispersed camping. It’s right on the river which makes it very scenic. We will definitely be back

Teri and Mike have done a fantastic job here! Things are even better than expected from the online description and the welcome kit was a pleasant surprise. The sites are well laid out with plenty of privacy. Great star gazing here, and I saw deer several times. This was my first time camping here, but I hope to be back again next season.

This was such a peaceful spot — I had the whole place to myself! Communication with the host was quick and easy, and they were very helpful. I’d definitely recommend arriving during the day, as the driveway can be a little tricky to spot at night and it’s fairly steep. Once settled in, we had a wonderful time by the river and enjoyed the gorgeous fall colors. Highly recommend!

The barn/bar is adorable and Richard was very friendly and helpful. Camping down the Ridgeline and along the dirt road seemed like it would not be my cup of tea, but in fact, it was very private and very spread apart. I would definitely camp there again! We enjoyed music both evenings and the food at the barn was delicious. I would love if they had a few more choices on the menu.
