The farm is located 15 minutes west of Indiana Universities Memorial Stadium. The property is nice and private. The farm adjoins the 75 acre Stranger Hills Organic farm, the oldest organic farm in Indiana. Our 1899 Farmhouse is the only residence on the entire farm. There is a 3000 acre farm to our south. The area is quiet and very private. The campsites are in a grassy walnut grove by a small creek that runs along the eastern border of the property. We have a white deer creek cabin tent on a platform there and 3 or 4 nice level campsites to the north. There is a shaded RV site at the top of a small hill with 30 amp service. We can accommodate a large RV on packed gravel with 50 amp service. the farm is located 15 minutes east of McCormicks Creek State Park. There is a composting toilet and an on demand hot shower in a small building adjacent to the campsites. There is a YMCA about five minutes East of the property. We now have a no dog policy. I haven’t been able to change it on the site.

For the safety of all the dogs, your pets must be contained/on a leash at least until all of the dogs can get to know each other.

The land is quiet, wooded, and surrounded by thousands of acres of Hoosier National Forest. Directly across the road lies the Charles C. Deam Wilderness — step off the property and into protected backcountry!
Each site offers space, privacy, and defined staging for a comfortable stay. Expect mature hardwoods, changing light across the ridge at sunrise and sunset, and minimal artificial noise. Wildlife movement is common, and nights are dark!
The Cutright Boat Ramp on Lake Monroe is seven minutes away for boating, fishing, and swimming. Bloomington is fifteen minutes away for dining, fuel, and supplies. You are close to activity without being inside it.
Access to the camp is practical. There are two gravel driveways, each leading to a campsite.
This is not a crowded campground. It is low-density acreage positioned between water and wilderness, designed for campers who want space, quiet, and immediate access to Southern Indiana’s most visited outdoor corridor.

CERA offers six camping cabins of various sizes. All cabins sit on lakefront lots amid the trees. Bathhouse facilities are located within 100 feet directly behind the cabins. Our camping cabins are a great option for enjoying the outdoors without having to pitch a tent or pull a camper.

Thirty-three acres of woodland with two miles of marked trails. There are three 30-amp camper hookups, two primitive camping cabins with electricity, and multiple tent sites—both with and without electrical access.
The bathhouse contains two private flush toilets and one private shower. The north fork of Bean Blossom Creek runs through the center of the grounds, and a vehicle bridge connects the two camping areas. Water and electricity are provided, and firewood is available for a nominal charge.

Kerry was a phenomenal host with prompt details messages about local hikes and cave expeditions. He was patience with our staggered arrival. The creativity that goes into how the land is cultivated is clear.
The suspended string platform was so zen being surrounded by a perfect autumn mosaic.
The puppies and pigs on the property were so friendly and polite.

Donna and her family are amazing hosts. They allowed our girls to help feed the animals and even gave us some fresh eggs that we used for breakfast! We loved the farm atmosphere and even appreciated the rooster helping wake us to get our day going! We had such a fun weekend!

Kerry was kind, helpful, and the communication was great! This was a beautiful and comfortable environment. We felt safe and welcomed here. The land is beautiful and there is plenty to explore. At night the stars really stand out, great place to sit out by the campfire. You might get so lucky to have a visit from Jersey (the neighborhood dog) who was very friendly and not at all aggressive.

Pros: RV electric hookups. Clean onsite bathroom with running water, sink, flushing toilet and shower. Nice well maintained camping sites (tent and RV). Plenty of land to roam and enjoy nature. Beautiful views of the lakes, nature and wildlife.
Cons: Limited number of firepits. All 5 RV sites share one firepit. Not a real issue if you're the only one there but not great if there are other groups booked on site. Some of the camping sites have firepits but not all of them. Lakes have some junk in them, tires, etc. There is overflow from the river so when it floods the river flows into the lakes and it brings along the trash with it. It wasn't too bad but does give you pause when considering swimming or fishing.
Overall: We had a great trip and will book here again. The pro's outweigh the cons and it was a lot of fun getting away for a weekend with friends.

We really enjoyed our time in the black walnut grove! I’ll be honest and say, we didn’t consider the implications of being in a walnut grove when leaves (and walnuts) are falling, and they fall from very tall trees. But we didn’t run into any issues with it, bedsides an occasional jump scare lol. It was quiet and private, while also having Kerry on property for any issues or questions we might have had. He was extremely accommodating and prompt with responses. I would gladly return to his property for another trip :)

We had a great time at RockyTop. The highlights for my kids(8 & 22) were Oreo, the pig, the dogs and fishing. It was mostly a very quiet stay. The only thing I would say is only 1 person could fish at a time but we were told that was a project they were tackling soon. Also, youre closer to the house than we thought we'd be but that didnt bother us at all. All in all, we would stay here again.

Ghe property was beautiful and has a lot of really unique sleeping quarters, as well as some very unique little areas sprinkled throughout the property. Kerry was super nice and has a good sense of humor. He was very direct and helpful, and then left us to enjoy our time on his property. We didn't need to reach out, but he did leave his inbox open in case we needed anything during our stay. The camp site were the most spacious and spread out that I have personally come across, leaving plenty of privacy. We absolutely loved our stay here at the Homestead.

Kerry was so kind and helpful. The property is beautiful and well-maintained and has a couple outhouses and shower. We had plenty of room at our site and a fire pit. The giant rope net they have up in the trees is so cool, we had a lot of fun taking pictures up there. Definitely recommend this campsite, everything was perfect!
