The Barn on Twilight is a shared communal space among 3 homeowners and their guests. This is a 3rd generation "Family Farm" of a different sort I suppose. Seems there's a bit of everything here, and arguably not enough of anything. At least for conventional farming. So we've learned to do things a bit differently.Our main crop is wine and juice grapes since our topography, climate, and soil type makes it a premier location for that. But with 30+ acres of forested hillsides, low ground, and natural areas we've evolved into a mixed farm and forest enterprise. Our goal is to utilize the productivity of all our property while still retaining the basic character and usefulness of the wild areas. Letting each thing be what it wants to be and does best on it's own. Flow, not force.So our year starts early with tapping maple trees and making maple syrup. Plus there's grape trimming about this time as well. When the forest floor starts to green up a bit later, we start digging Ramps, or Wild Leeks in the woods. Most of these will go to the more trendy Chicago restaurants, but we also have some local sales. Next comes inoculating winter-cut logs with Shiitake spawn for next years mushroom production. This year we also conducted a few hands-on workshop seminars on mushroom growing as well. Then it's on to our raised bed herb & veggie gardens. (Fresh herbs are just so much fun to cook with!) We grow enough for our own yearly use, as well as some for direct sales. Summer keeps us busy tending all the different crops here and trying to keep up. But there's that steady progression of fresh veggies to eat. Yum !!! Fall brings our annual Grape U-Pick in September and October. And we try to time related crops like mums, pumpkins, and gourds for this same time frame. Makes the place a bit more interesting. Late fall is when we bring in firewood to heat the house and workshop. Stacks of wood everywhere. Hopefully before the 1st snow. In winter it's time to fire up the woodworking shop and be a bit creative. Build furniture, equipment maintenance, who knows what next years projects will include. I like to keep everybody guessing.So, that's what goes on here. You're welcome to check it out, lend a hand, relax back at camp, walk the vineyards and/or forest, or just breathe and relax. That's up to you. But I would recommend visiting a few of the fine local wineries. Seems there's a festival going on at one or another of them just about every weekend. Good music, good wine, good times. And there's the Lake Michigan beaches a few miles down the road.Yeah, this is a pretty casual place here, love meeting new people, very open to civil discussions of all sorts.However, rude, ill mannered people will probably enjoy staying elsewhere. I am three miles from Lake Michigan and my town has a public access beach. I am surrounded by wineries, breweries, and antique stores. I am in the country but only a few miles off the expressway. Berrien County's adorable small towns are known for their special events all year round.

Private, huge, level but also sloping down to Fawn River site with perfect mix of 🌞 and 🌫️, and a large farm/woods to roam. Road and path to site was smooth enough for my low trailer and car. Hosts were excellent in all ways, just right at being informative, helpful or accommodating, but yet allowed us full privacy. Very interesting areas to explore in both NW Indiana and SW Michigan. The hosts and their farm are exceptional. Ask Mr. Graber about one of the split rocks around the campfire... and sample Mrs. Grabers baked goods. And relax in nature.

We RV and love using hipcamp so this site was appealing to us with an opportunity to enjoy the lake. Mike and Connie definitely have the gift of hospitality and were such gracious hosts during our time at the lake. Site was very clean and well maintained with full hook up if needed. If you love lake life this would be a great place to go. You do have a lake view at the site but you also have access to a private grassy area to enjoy the lake up close, take in a sunset, or use the pier to swim, fish or dock a boat. Public access for boats is just a short ride down the road. We enjoyed relaxing by the water or outside and also walked and rode our bikes all around. We felt very safe and it was extremely quiet and peaceful which is important
to us when seeking a hipcamp. Thanks guys for sharing your homestead with us. We would love to come back and visit again.

What a wonderful place to stay! The location off of the US 12 was very convenient. The private site itself was part of a concrete driveway in the rear of the host's beautiful home. It was equipped with a 50 amp electric hookup and a dump station. Firewood and starter kindling was readily available. And best of all, it was very quiet at night. We highly recommend this Hipcamp. It far exceeded our expectations!

Earl and Lisa were quick to communicate when I needed any help. They were excellent kind hearted folks. Their bathrooms, showers, and sink were clean and very much appreciated. I loved their land and enjoyed my full hook up site close to their pond which had lovely scenery with a number of Mallard ducks. They also had a some cozy evening string lights which helped to get around the bathroom and sink area at night and really set the mood for great evenings. I highly recommend their lovely site for RV or tent camping.

Great full-hookup spot! The Barndominium is beautiful and the grounds include a pickleball court, fire pit with chairs, and great landscaping. We were the only ones staying on the grounds and it was nice and quiet. The owner was on-site upon our arrival and was very kind, welcoming and accommodating.
Would stay again and would recommend, especially for those looking for a place to stay near Notre Dame!

What a great hidden gem! Site was concrete, level, full 50a RV hookups, tucked away behind the barn. "Star Host" is an understatement- they were beyond welcoming, very accommodating, sociable and friendly. They were more like the neighbors you hope to get! The location was within walking distance to the lake, and short driving distance to Elkhart. The strongest recommendation I can make is that I will not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. Google Maps warning: Maps will take you to the wrong (dead-end!) street. I strongly recommend pulling over on the side of the street, *before* turning into any dead-ends, and walking it to see where the entrance is. The concrete pad is large, but it's probably better to back down the driveway if you can. I could probably have spun my 32' RV around, but just easier to avoid the issue and back down.

Earl and Lisa are super kind and accommodating hosts. My sons and I enjoyed our time, playing the yard games they provided and had great bonfires with the fire starters Lisa makes. The grounds were clean, simple and lovely. The out houses were clean and easy to use. We enjoyed the full hookup site with our camper but any of the spots seemed really nice from what we could see. Only bummer was the road noise, but that's not Earl and Lisa's fault and cannot be controlled. Just know there is some road noise as the property is nearby a major road. Otherwise, we absolutely loved our stay, which provided an easy drive to the Dunes for a day trip.

Shari and David have created a true little oasis at Graber Oasis! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed - not only by Shari and David, but also by a whole crew of adorable pups that immediately made us smile.
We were especially grateful for how kind and accommodating they were when inclement weather forced us to postpone our first night. Their flexibility and communication made a stressful situation so much easier.
The campsite itself is spacious, private, and beautifully situated right on the river. The newly installed water pump was incredibly convenient, and we appreciated having plenty of firewood, a picnic table, and hammock posts already set up. The complimentary kayaks and canoes were a fantastic bonus, and the river is perfect for a peaceful paddle.
We loved exploring the nearby hiking trails, watching the abundant wildlife, and taking in the beautiful scenery around the property. David was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed talking with him and learning more about the area and the property they've thoughtfully created for guests to enjoy.
If you're looking for a peaceful riverside getaway with wonderful hosts and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, Graber Oasis is a gem. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to our next visit!

The hosts went above and beyond during our short stay. Assisting with camper issues, recommending a mobile repair tech (that we used and was very professional and timely), and just generally being very nice and accommodating.
Earl & Lisa are caring hosts, that checked on us and made sure we were set and had what we needed, including restocking our firewood and picking up some ice for us.
The full hookup site was large enough for our 32’ pull behind toy hauler & 3/4 ton pickup. The bathrooms and shower (hottest water) were clean and well supplied.
The site is nestled into a lovely area on the back of their property. There was some highway noise, but not enough to bother our sleep.
We enjoyed campfires and gazing at the stars. We would definitely stay here again!
