Weekend Trip to Paradise on Mirror Lake

This camp (Site D) has a great set-up. Very clean, very well stocked with anything you'd possible need. Lovely view of lake and several trails to check out. We had a small trailer and was visiting Sandpoint for the weekend. Just a short drive into town. This is perfect for a quiet get-away. Nathaniel communicated with me every step of the way too ... so easy to find and get to.

We simply booked this as a quick place to stop and sleep in the car halfway through a long drive, so we didn't have the opportunity to explore the property but it seemed like it was well kept! The camping area is simply a gravel lot, which worked for our needs for this trip.

We had a blast at the little cabin and the lake was just magnificent. Just a nice little gem! We had a lacrosse tournament in Sandpoint and this was a fun little spot for some family time in between games! We enjoyed the peaceful water and had a nice fire to make some s’mores! Would definitely stay in the future. The pictures don’t do it justice. We slept in our camper van! There is a robin’s nest with 3 little blue eggs in the eve of the cabin too.

1 night at Paradise on Mirror Lake

Campsite A was the perfect overnight getaway away me and my dog needed. Beautiful spot right by the lake, firepit and hammocks were great. Nice to have the lamp at bedtime to get all situated in the cabin. Porta potty A+++. I was the only camper there so it was very quiet which is what I wanted. Nathaniel was quick to respond to my question and I reserved same day. Me and my doggo walked the “Recreation Loop” and checked out all the sites. The Enchanted Forest is so fun. I think this would be a great camp experience for a family with small kids. Nice little hiking loop. Love the Big Foot theme! I would highly recommend.

This would be a great spot got camping with kids as they would love looking around the ranch. The barn with shower and flush toilet is great.

This site (A) is super cute and I would say is the most private and rewarding site. It’s right by the dock, but we only briefly saw one other person. You get a small cabin (that is great for storage if you don’t stay in it), a nice fire pit, hammocks, and a fantastic tent site. The solar powered battery pack saved us because we had a leaky mattress. Highly recommend this site!

The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive). The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing. Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground? Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, there are no designated spots. Riverfront Base Camp

Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers. Please send a message if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

Easy access from I 90 but not nearly close enough to hear it. Campsite sits 500-600 feet off a county road with a easy driveway and plenty of turn around space. It's a basically level area with several options for how to park. Large pine trees provide shade but let plenty of light through. There is filtered road noise, but the crickets and coyotes are the main thing you'll hear at night.

The Old Weber Farm

Owned the last 100 years by only two families. The Weber family was the last to own and operate the farm for over 60 years. House was built in 1917 and the barn was added in 1925. Legend has it Bing Crosby sang in the barn himself after a long summer bucking bales in Cheney.
