Great view, serene environment. Quiet and peaceful. Clean bathroom, bed, and shower. We loved it. The only downside was the sound of music coming from distance but can still be heard which continued until midnight. I must also add the smell of marijuana which we were not able to figure out from where it is coming. Despite these shortcomings we would definitely go back.

We loved staying on this property! Incredible Mountains views Bathroom and shower was a neat set up very clean ! Property was very easy to find with the directions . I could stay here for a month at a time ! We stayed at 3 Hip Camps while touring the island and this one was definitely our favourite. Host was very quick to answer and very helpful 10/10

We had an amazing time camping at this site. It’s located right next to the beach, so we could hear the waves at night and enjoy the sun in the morning. The area was clean, peaceful, and felt very safe. Everything was so well maintained, and the natural beauty around us made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature by the ocean!

Off the highway and private. House was nicely put together, clean, and comfortable. Kitchen was basic but suitable for our needs. Outdoor space had chair cushions that were wet from the rain when we arrived, but they did dry eventually in the sun. Better chairs that could be towel dried would have been nice to use the patio more than we did.

Rustic and private place to stay. Very clean. The bathroom and shower was great...just a quick step out of the tent. The covered patio was also excellent when a few rain showers came through. Roosters are loud early in the morning...but welcome to Hawaii, they are everywhere!

We camped at several sites around the island and this one was by far the cleanest and was the only one with beach access. The host was really helpful too. It did seem spendy at first - but I would do it again knowing how clean the bathroom was and how nice it was to have the outdoor kitchen and potable water.

I parked my van at Sun Farm Hawaii on Oʻahu for a few nights… and ever since we left, it’s been looking up farm listings and refusing to drive past palm trees without getting emotional. Honestly, I don’t blame it. This place is van life deluxe. You get the comforts of home—power, water, space to breathe—but with way better views, a soundtrack of ocean breezes and tropical birds, and a light dusting of farm charm. Let’s talk about the shower. It’s an open-air hot water situation that deserves its own Yelp page. Showering while gazing up at palm trees during the day is one thing—but at night? You’re scrubbing your hair under a sky full of stars like you’re in a shampoo ad directed by the universe. And the staff? Incredibly kind and helpful—genuinely good people who make you feel welcome. If you’re vanlifing on Oʻahu and want a spot that nails the combo of convenience, beauty, and making you question all your future campsite standards… this is it. I left refreshed, sun-kissed, and slightly suspicious that no other place will ever compare.

Perfect location if you want a spot right on the beach. Very clean and secure area with no issues. When you’re on David’s land, you feel like you own the island, but it’s also a short drive to any restaurant or convenience store., You get the best of both worlds. David was a splendid host, very helpful on arrival and we couldn’t ask for anything better.

We loved our stay! The bathroom was clean and conveniently located. We got in late and it was still easy to find in the dark. We loved the communal feel and had we been there longer would’ve loved to enjoy the other amenities. Would definitely recommend to friends!!!

1 night at Sun Farm Hawaii @ Koko Head

First of all, it's a beautiful escape from Waikiki and all the noise and people. The 'Lanai' yurt we were in was spacious and comfortable for 2 people. It had everything you need, a desk lamp, charge station, wifi, fan, suitcase holder, towels, clean sheets and pillows. The camp has two seperate bathrooms and two separate showers(with hot water), both with a wash station that are very clean for a farm. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and you can even cook your own food there if you wanted to. They have a small section in the kitchen for free to use stuff as well. In a side room they have produce for sale and you can pay cash or venmo and have fresh fruit and juice or coconuts! Another little room has a washer and dryer for campers, which we didn't use. We didn't use any of those facilities but others were using them so they are ready to go for you! It's a nice little farm on the side of a hill and away from any sounds except nature at night. The chickens will start crowing at about 3am so have earplugs ready if you don't want to wake up then!! You'll definitely want bug spray or at least make sure you kill any mosquitos in your tent/yurt before you sleep. Lastly, they have the most adorable white lab Waimea, on the farm! Waimea would follow us around and doesn't bark without reason to. We were sad the day we left, waimea wasn't around so we didn't get to say goodbye. 😢 Loved our time there and would definitely go back. ❤️

If you are camping this is a must stop!! As a female travelling alone , I felt completely safe here. David is a wonderful host. I have an RV site, everything you need. Electric hook up, sewer hook up if needed. Outdoor kitchen, shower and bathroom. And your own private beach with a fire pit. Truly marvellous!!! I loved this site so much I decided to keep it as my base for the rest of my trip. And on one of my days there, whilst taking a walk along the beach I came across a turtle! Just resting there on the sand. I was really chuffed. And even though I am from the UK, I actually live in Canada. I was relieved to discover that David did not apply a 25% tariff!! 😂 Thankyou David for a wonderful time and memories I’ll never forget. I intend to return ….,

I had a lot of fun at this property. It was easy to get to. Super low-key and the volunteers were nothing but helpful. The community areas are great. The showers are good when they’re warm. Bathrooms are comfy. And the vibes are pretty good too. It’s only a five minute drive from Koko Head hike which was amazing to do. I would definitely return and camp here again.

5 nights at Sun Farm Hawaii @ Koko Head

This is a wonderful place. I am an experienced boondocker and had a relaxing 5 night stay in a rented car in the camper van section. Hot showers, clean toilets, use of a full outdoor kitchen including dedicated space in the fridge, laundry for a fee, etc. Just be respectful. The staff lent me a pad and pillow for sleeping in the rental car, and I left supplies behind for future campers. It was easy to get west to Honolulu, to the beautiful eastern beaches, to numerous hiking trails, and the proximity to the Hawaii Kai shopping center made food and amenities easy. The staff and residents (young folks from all over the world) were smart, interesting, and very helpful and accommodating. The campers were ALL understanding of the ground rules and were happy to chat and trade tips, we ranged in age from 5yrs - 70 yrs (me). Folks were quiet by 9pm, it was dark and silent at night, and the roosters did not start up too early. The farm dog, cats, and roosters/chickens add to the ambiance. I would stay here again on my next return (I lived nearby 25 years ago).

1 night at Waimanalo Farmstay

My partner and I stayed at both the Banana Patch and Orchard Wall tents and they were perfect. Everything was exactly as described. The guides made travel to the locations very easy and staying on the property was wonderful. As it is a rural area, some animal noises at night were unavoidable (like chickens and dogs), but it didn’t impact our sleep. We would definitely look to stay here again the next time we visit Oahu.
