This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you.
Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege.
While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.
This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. I never got bored living here. Every day I got to wake up and go to the beach just minutes away from home, or my cousins and I would have a fishing contest to see who could catch the most fish. We would also go paddling up the river to lay nets down to catch some ono (delicious) crab for dinner.

After a busy day, enjoy a nice hot bath in a private shower under the stars, along with a flushing toilet and sink. Upon request and additional charge, end your adventure with a cozy night next to the fire pit ($28.00 for fire pit). Mangrove Lounge is 3-5 minutes (driving) away from many beaches and eateries in Haleiwa town where you can also do all your shopping. Less than a mile away, you can find all the delicious food trucks including the famous Giovanni Shrimp Truck. You can find your nearest supermarket just 1.2 miles away called Malama Market, and Longs Drug Store right across the street from Malama Market. Home is powered by an off grid solar system that supplies the home, washer, dishwasher etc. Propane supplies the stove, and dryer. Water is connected to the grid, 3 part filtered. Top of the line Cinderella burner toilet. Hot water heater is both solar and electric powered. Fans in all rooms and windows create a very breezy home.
We offer this home when traveling. There for minimum of 2 weeks. To make it worth while for a trip. We love this home dearly and designed and built it with with our own hands and with Aloha. Come enjoy old Hawaii rural charm in a nicely designed plantation home in an orchard. E komo Mai.
IMPORTANT NOTE- Farm is ALL SOLAR powered. The solar cant do heating elements. So please NO hair dryers, curling irons, heating blankets, noise machines, anything that must be plugged in over night. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge into my dirt driveway. You will have the small river on your righthand side as you drive in.

We loved this campsite! The view from the landscape was stunning. We went with a Campervan and the directions to the place and where to park were super clear. Is very silent and you can hear a lot of birds singing, it was beautiful. Is not just a place to spend the night, is a place to enjoy. The bathroom looks like is really taken care off and the shower has hot water. We would go back for sure and we recommend it!

All you need is there! Very quiet and clean! The site is amazing.. but only 1 toilet/shower.. you need to queue a bit and wait that other campers make the place free for you.

6 nights at Waimanalo Farmstay
This spot feels wonderfully secluded while still being conveniently close to nearby destinations. I stayed in the Orchard tent and it was truly a magical experience. I spent a full week there, including three rainy days, and instead of feeling inconvenient, it felt incredibly cozy, calm, and grounding—far more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. The tent has all the essentials: a comfortable space, the ability to cook your own meals, warm showers, and a proper bathroom. I absolutely loved my time there.
