We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold.
We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats.

Enjoy the country life in Kau on the Big Island and the lovely red Lehua flowers blooming. We live on 19 acres on Road to the Sea, which has a remote green sand beach at the end of the road (4 miles down from us). We call our slice of paradise, Honua Laa (a sacred place). Straight down to the coast is a beautiful black and green sand beach and a huge tide pool. Rent a four-wheel-drive to get there, but you don’t need 4WD to get to our place, but you do need to rent an SUV or truck with high clearance. No sedans. Go slow the road is rough and bumpy in places..
Off the grid. Rustic, but fun. If you are a Eco tourist or seeking adventure, you will love our spot!
The silence is golden and the stars are amazing.
Don't expect a hotel...this is upcountry glamorous camping.
It's one-of-a-kind! Most of the parcels are 20 acre parcels around… But a few smaller parcels across the road. We have nice neighbors who keep an eye on things.
The nearest grocery store is about 3 miles away. The Hele-On Bus is just 1.2 miles up the road. If you want to drive to the green sand beach at the end of our road, rent a 4 wheel drive. If you are athletic, you can walk, but it is 4 miles down and 4 miles back. I recommend going early in the morning and take water.
Hot water shower is propane. Bring ice for your ice chest. Bring drinking water. There is a gas grill and propane single burner. Bathroom has manual flush toilet,.
This is off the grid solar and there can be days without sun, or other glitches. You can charge your phone and have a lamp in your cabin. No wifi. I use ATandT and I understand that Verizon and T-Mobile work here also.
The panoramic ocean view is spectacular! Very peaceful and relaxing!
Our glamping cabins are in the front 3 acres. The back 17 acres is an old Ohia forest with 500 year old trees and lots of birds. You might even see a wild goat or a wild pig. There are small caves and gorgeous rock formations. It backs up to Manuka Forest Reserve.

We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Enjoy the country life in Kau on the Big Island and the lovely red Lehua flowers blooming. We live on 19 acres on Road to the Sea, which has a remote green sand beach at the end of the road (4 miles down from us). We call our slice of paradise, Honua Laa (a sacred place). Straight down to the coast is a beautiful black and green sand beach and a huge tide pool. Rent a four-wheel-drive to get there, but you don’t need 4WD to get to our place, but you do need to rent an SUV or truck with high clearance. No sedans. Go slow the road is rough and bumpy in places..
Off the grid. Rustic, but fun. If you are a Eco tourist or seeking adventure, you will love our spot!
The silence is golden and the stars are amazing.
Don't expect a hotel...this is upcountry glamorous camping.
It's one-of-a-kind! Most of the parcels are 20 acre parcels around… But a few smaller parcels across the road. We have nice neighbors who keep an eye on things.
The nearest grocery store is about 3 miles away. The Hele-On Bus is just 1.2 miles up the road. If you want to drive to the green sand beach at the end of our road, rent a 4 wheel drive. If you are athletic, you can walk, but it is 4 miles down and 4 miles back. I recommend going early in the morning and take water.
Hot water shower is propane. Bring ice for your ice chest. Bring drinking water. There is a gas grill and propane single burner. Bathroom has manual flush toilet,.
This is off the grid solar and there can be days without sun, or other glitches. You can charge your phone and have a lamp in your cabin. No wifi. I use ATandT and I understand that Verizon and T-Mobile work here also.
The panoramic ocean view is spectacular! Very peaceful and relaxing!
Our glamping cabins are in the front 3 acres. The back 17 acres is an old Ohia forest with 500 year old trees and lots of birds. You might even see a wild goat or a wild pig. There are small caves and gorgeous rock formations. It backs up to Manuka Forest Reserve.

Eddie’s place is awesome! Great views, great vibes. The entire property is on top of the 1907 Mauna Loa lava flow. There is a nice flat spot that is perfect for a camper van, and it opens out to an incredible vista of lava and the Pacific in the distance. We felt super secluded and safe during our stay, while also being just a short drive from great snorkeling and other attractions along the SW region of the Big Island. The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed at the end of a long day. Eddie is a great host and he and his two dogs, Coconut and Ocho, made us feel very welcome. Just book it! Mahalo Eddie 🤙

Wild Blue Waters is a gem! The campsite was super clean and well-maintained. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating. They even checked our tents during a rainstorm while we were out exploring Hilo to make sure nothing was getting wet. That thoughtfulness and care meant so much to us!
The hot tub was absolutely beautiful and the perfect way to relax after long days of adventuring. Amazing place with genuine hospitality. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to 🌈 Rainbow’s End Farm & Homestead!
We enjoyed our comfy bed and deck perch in the jungle. The open kitchen was lovely to cook in. Wendy was away, but communication was excellent, and the caretakers were available, helpful and welcoming. We were driving a Honda Fit with very low clearance, so we drove the rocky road VERY slowly, and planned to come and go only once a day (we spent two nights). I would stay there again for sure, but only if I had a vehicle with higher clearance.

I loved the overall vibe of staying on Kelly's land. Everything impressed me from the minute I arrived. You can tell that the owner's have put a lot of time and sweat into making it what it is. I stayed in a Sprinter, but it was great to have a hot outdoor shower. The puppies were so sweet and playful. It rained that night, but it just added to the atmosphere.

We had a great time at Yipcamp with Tom, Yip, and the chickens. Tom was very hospitable, friendly and communicative. The amenities were there, the toilet flushed and the shower got nice and hot! The land at Yipcamp is beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone, and it being close to all the stuff in the Volcano park was perfect. We’d definitely stay again, thank you Tom and Yip!

We absolutely loved staying at Hale lo! We arrived at night so the property was very dark, enough to have really good stargazing. Looking for the cabin in the dark was an adventure in itself! As we were walking around, the coquis were singing and we could hear the river running next to our cabin once we found it. The beds were comfy. My son especially loved sleeping in the loft bed! The waterfall is stunning and we wished we had time to spend a few days and explore the land a bit more!

Excellent tent camping site: quiet, secure, tables, power outlet, kettle, etc. Justine is a wonderful host as well: responsive, friendly, welcoming, lots of positive energy, and willing to share her extensive knowledge of local attractions. We also greatly enjoyed her farm to table dinner.

Weekend Trip to Sunrise Cabanas Panoramic Views
This was our second early-December stay here. The property is in an excellent location above Naalehu, is easy to find, and has spectacular views of the surrounding hillside and ocean. Brian, the onsite manager, was responsive and friendly, and made us feel welcome. The cabins are cute and clean, and the crickets and coqui frogs serenaded us to sleep. The outdoor shower is private and clean, and has plenty of hot water. This is a simple little gem of a place, and we would definitely stay here again.
