We had a wonderful stay at Belinda and Tony’s campsite! The site itself was private, clean, and felt very safe, and had a convenient bathroom tent. Plenty of space, picnic table, and a fire pit. Before we departed we got the farm tour and fresh breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming, and it was cool to hear all history of the land. My favorite part was all the animals - so many farm birds, and a very friendly cat, Mimi. We’d definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area. Thank you!!

Amazing experience and so peaceful. Bathroom was clean, water and electric worked, and there was farm animals to see and pet! Wife liked the farm animals the most. Especially the little piglets!

Weekend Trip to Glam Camp At The Old Dairy

What a fun little place! The attention to detail, the surrounding beauty, the welcoming atmosphere, the quirkiness of the camper, the comfort, and the location are my top favorites. This is an absolutely perfect fit for someone who wants to see the sights, explore nature, or just relax at the site! I am so glad we found this place for our weekend trip. We are actually already planning a return and bringing other family members along who can stay in the other two campers. We enjoyed morning coffee in the camper, Tybee Island, walking the trails, seeing the horses, riding our bikes to downtown Savannah and the riverfront, and local restaurants. Budget friendly with so many onsite and nearby amenities. Oh, and the outdoor (private) shower was the best!

1 night at Glam Camp At The Old Dairy

They put a lot of work into this little beauty. It was a really cool and unique space to stay in for the night! Ice cold AC & the bed was really comfortable. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in this place. Just a heads up, and honestly it’s my fault for not looking more closely at the photos, but when they say the camper is close to the house, it’s CLOSE— pretty much against the side of their house. Definitely not a private place, but if that’s not a problem for you, it’s a quiet & safe spot to stay. I’d love to come back and stay in the actual Glam Camp, but probably won’t stay in the Lark again just because of the proximity to the home. TLDR: Good spot, just not secluded. Thank you for having us!

Stopped off for one night on my way through. The location could not have been more convenient. It was right off 95 and easy to find. You wouldn’t know you were right off the highway because the property was so beautiful and I enjoyed listening to the birds and the two biplanes that flew over head. The camping spaces were so pretty. Large and clean with really aesthetic fire pits and picnic tables. I enjoyed meeting the host, his dog and his kitty. Friendly and helpful. Great experience and I may stop there once more on my way back down.

1 night at Glam Camp At The Old Dairy

This is my third one-night stay at this sweet and unusual place right in Savannah. I enjoy it every time. It is relaxed and there are people working with plants, horses, and I think sculpture also on the property. It's nice and quiet at night and I always take a rejuvenating walk on the gorgeous trails through the marsh, and get a decent night's sleep so I can get back on the road in good form in the morning.

Absolutely stunning property, sites are clean, roomy, and beautifully laid out. Our host welcomed us like you would greet family. Very nice stay. Definitely recommended!

1 night at Friendly Fowl Farm

Directions were easy to follow and campsite was easy to find. Belinda's husband, Tony, stopped by as we were getting settled in to make sure we were all set. The mosquitoes left us alone after we got a fire started. We could here a rooster nearby in the morning, but otherwise very quiet and peaceful! We would definitely stay again and check out the area.

Very nice, clean campground. A lot to explore if you walk around the campground. The sites are really close together, but there were not many campers when I went due to weather. I met the “mayor”, he was kind enough to pass on some cooking and pans he no longer needed. I would stay again.

Everything was great. Ronald was helpful. It was nice not having to pulled our camper down to Edisto.

1 night at Spacious Skies Savannah Oaks Campground

We were in a 26' class C and had no trouble pulling in or out. No extra leveling was needed. Fairly nice place. The people we met were friendly enough. Bathrooms were clean. We only stayed 1 night on our way to FL but we may be stopping back on our way home.

This is a complete piece of heaven after a day of driving. Extremely peaceful. The trees smell lovely. It felt like I was up in north Minnesota/Wisconsin. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 4N’s the end of May in the Orient Express! Enjoyed every minute from the coziness of the airstream to the oh so close location to Savannah! Loved the beautiful creatures roaming the pastures, (horses)!! Best part….coming back to the quiet and peacefulness after the hustle bustle in downtown Savannah….The stay was PERFECT! We are trying to figure out if a family can use their own hands and some grit to handcraft a life that you don't need a vacation from. Or better yet, that you would vacation to. Have we done that? You be the judge. About 4 years ago we left our South Florida handcrafting furniture business to pursue this new goal. We set out to build an inspiring experience in simple, eco-friendly living that would find a harmony between some of the old fashioned world that we'd found ourselves missing, and the handful of modern advancements that were actually beneficial. All while keeping it classy. At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cabins, installing solar, composting, planting, and building toilets that are better for our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We realize everyone has a right to be themselves, but our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm.
