This creek property was probably used by the Creek and then the Cherokee as a campsite because of the abundant water and wild life. Later is was farm land and in the 1920's had approximately fifty mules working the land. The Old barn and blacksmith shop are still here. In 1977 the government planned to put a four lane toll road through here but was stopped by the oil embargo which caused the right of way to be auctioned. We were able to buy 200 acres for a small amount of money and have been raising cattle and camping on it every since that time. As a Scout Master I have been using this site for camping for the past 15 years. Time to let others enjoy. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent or hammock in a grove of hardwood trees in a nice meadow on the banks of Lake Creek with old timey swimming hole. Parking is about 150 feet walk down a small hill and a few stone steps. It is not handicap accessible. 3 miles to grocery and or Target/Walmart. Welcome to our 12-acre ranch, located near state parks that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. We're only 45 minutes away from Six Flags, and just an hour away from popular Atlanta attractions such as the zoo, airport, and aquarium. There are boat launches nearby for the Etowah River and Lake Allatoona, and we have a small kayak available for rent. You're welcome to set up camp anywhere in the front pasture, with water and electricity easily accessible. We also have a 220 RV hookup by the barn. Whether you prefer privacy or interaction, we're here to accommodate your needs and ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. We have staff on-site to assist with any needs that may arise. Named Haven of Hope, this 14-Acre Retreat Property offers Guests a peaceful experience near Little River Canyon National Preserve. Currently, Happy Glamper RV (sleeps 4), Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse (sleeps 7) and Serenity Escape Treehouse (sleeps 7) are available! Explore waterfalls, parks, shops, and restaurants. Relax by your own private fire pit with a cup of coffee and enjoy views through a canopy of trees. Take a nap in your own private double hammock. There are two easy walking trails - each perfect for picnics on the ground and access to a swing-for-two in the woods! One trail leads to a rippling brook that runs through the property. Keep going and pass Rippling Brook Walking Trail on your left, and then Lost and Found Walking Trail on your right. Soon after, Peaceful Hideaway Treehouse will be on your left. Keep going up the mountain until you are greeted by the sight of a very large wooden deck and Happy Glamper RV under a permanent carport/awning shelter. Nearby is the Owner's temporary cabin and Sarsaparilla Lookout Workshop. And about 100 feet away are honeybee hives ("Haven of Honey - A Bee Resort").

This was our third time camping here, and it was another amazing experience! It's peaceful but close enough to restaurants and stores. The site is fairly level, the internet is fast, and everything works as expected. We plan to be back! Our dogs love it too!

Weekend Trip to River Ranch @ Summerville, GA

Doni was an incredibly gracious and kind host who went above and beyond to be helpful! The property was perfect for our single night trip, and there seem to be several different sites available depending on what you’re looking for. The spot we selected had a fire ring, had enough room for several tents, and felt secluded even though it was just a 3 minute walk back to our vehicles. There is some road noise at night you can hear, but otherwise we had a wonderful time. We had some success fishing as well along the river, which was quite exciting. The paddle board was fun as well. Would love to come back with a larger group.

Weekend Trip to Shackalakin What's Crakin RV Park

This was my 2nd time staying at Shackalakin Whats Crackin. It's one of my favorite Hipcamp spots in TN. Can't say enough positive things about this place. Where else do you have 20+ acres all to yourself? It's such a wonderful space to camp with my dog. And everything is very accommodating. Full hookups and very fast WiFi. Plus it's in a great location for outdoor activities.

We absolutely loved the relaxed and private nature of our stay. The sound of the water and the peaceful surroundings were everything we needed to unwind. We stayed under the RV cover in our campervan and extended tent due to the rain which completely kept us dry! The host checked in on is by text and were proactive in all their instructions and information. I highly recommend and plan to come back!

Perfect for rugged camping but with shelter & a shower! Feels secluded, but you still have cell service & civilization nearby in case you need anything. Also lots of historical sites nearby. Caught a few fish in the pond & enjoyed cooking over the fire. Cabin & bathroom were clean and owners were extremely nice! Would love to come back in summer so I can enjoy the flowers!

This was the best spot I have camped at in years. Wide open fields full of deer and turkeys while all alone on far enough away from other people yet close enough to go into a small town for any missing or needed supplies. The area was well kept, had a string light setup, a nice fire pit, and lots of scenery. 10/10 visit, would and will definitely return in the future. Also of note was the host answers calls even as late as 9-10pm and is pleasantly cordial.

We loved tent camping at Little River Adventure Center. Access to a shower (during seasons where pipes won’t freeze) is something we aren’t used to, but warmly welcome! We feel like the sites offer a good amount of privacy especially if you get the first pick. We chose the very last site and it’s definitely the most secluded, and the easement allowed great stargazing. Great hiking access to DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. We also drove 45 minutes over to Cloudland Canyon which was another great park to hike.
