We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). We have been campers for 10 years and know how hard it can be to find a site nowadays. That is why we decided to share our slice of paradise with you. We hope that you too can enjoy the peaceful serenity we find when we come to this enchanted oak paradise. Learn more about this land: Spend a night, the weekend, or stay even longer under our spectacular centuries old live oak canopy in a quiet countryside neighborhood. The weatherman might say it’s 95° out but under these trees you’d never know. 3 acres of cleared flat live oak forest will invite you to kick back, relax, and let your cares drift away. Plenty of room to drive in, around, then pick your favorite vantage point. Florida has so much to offer so why not camp where your “what to do” options are endless. Our property is located in Morriston, just off 41 in a quiet residential neighborhood with wide, well paved and maintained roads. Acreage is not fully fenced so drive up into the yard as you see fit while respecting these priceless old oaks. At this time we have potable water via a well system on site at 3 locations throughout the property but no electric or sewer is available yet. If you are planning to run a generator it must be turned off during quiet hours (11pm-7am) unless it is quiet enough not to disturb the neighbors. Dump stations can be found at the multiple truck stops off i75.

Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Hosts are super nice, the property is beautiful, and we loved watching their pigs, horses, emus, goats, and working farm dogs do their thing. We didn’t know what to think before we arrived as we were just looking for a place to test out the new RV and Crossroads was very biker friendly. Turns out it was a perfect weekend. There just happened to be jack Russel Terrier races going on so there were dogs everywhere but the wife and I love dogs so it just added to the adventure. The campground was perfectly fine. Everything worked great. The only downside was we wanted full hookups and to get sewer we had to take a location close to annuals, but nobody messed with us or was loud. We walked the grounds and it was beautiful land. The waterfalls were all working and flowing as they should. We don’t drink much but the bar looked excellent. We did have a cheesecake on a stick and it was amazing. All in all it was excellent for the price. The owner was fantastic and very helpful even offering to let us use things if we forgot something.

We got a tour of the horse barn and great suggestions for the area. Clean bathhouse. Everything was perfect! Will return yearly for sure. Check out the nearby Withlachookie Trail, 46 places miles. We brought our e-bikes!

Our kids who are 6 and 9 had a blast running around the property and checking out all the cool things there were. They got to hang out with Tom the turkey and had the best time! Loved camping at Lucky U Ranch! My tent site was so beautifu with old oaks and Cypress trees providing shade and an open area to view the stars. Very peaceful and quiet with dim lighting for viewing the sky. Sites are spaced well for privacy also. Hot showers and tasty complementary coffee and hot chocolate or cold water. Wildlife abounds and the farm animals are friendly. Hiking trails too! Rob and Mike are wonderful hosts. Plenty of extras available too.

The Dune Sunflower campsite has a dedicated 6 ft picnic table and 3 ft diameter fire pit.

From the moment we arrived, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to make sure we were comfortable, without ever being intrusive. There is a reason the Lucky U Ranch was featured in the 2025 Best of Hipcamp - it is an amazing, beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Mike and Rob are WONDERFUL hosts and such very nice people. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We were there for an event in a neighboring town. The event was cancelled but instead of leaving we decided to stay and enjoy the ranch and we are so glad we did. We enjoyed the farm tour and seeing all of the animals that reside at the ranch. We had 3 - four legged guests each morning for breakfast that were friendly and truly loved apples. Our site was level and well maintained. Having a pad with a picnic table and outdoor carpet landing for our stairs was great. We camped in a 35 ft travel trailer. No issues entering the property or getting to our campsite.
