St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille Beach (and countless more), the Manatee Viewing Center and the Skyway Fishing Pier (longest fishing pier in the world) are about 30-45 mins away! Venice and Casperson Beach- the shark tooth capital of the world- is less than a hour drive from us! Come and go as you please! Safe and welcoming neighborhood. My son and I stayed at Ramayana Cove while we were in town hunting at Razzor Ranch, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin is rustic, but more than sufficient—clean, comfortable, and a great place to recharge after long days outdoors.
The property itself is beautiful. What really stood out were the nighttime bonfires and the sky. With no light pollution, the stars were incredible—clear, bright, and endless. Sitting by the fire under that kind of sky with my son made for some memorable conversations and a true reset from everyday life.
If you’re looking for something polished and luxury-driven, this isn’t that. But if you want peaceful, natural, and authentic Florida outdoors with a quiet, unplugged vibe, this place delivers.
We’d absolutely come back.

Staying at Sandy Bottom Retreat is a dream come true for nature lovers and true campers. Kira the host was incredibly accommodating and kind. We booked site 2 right on the Little Manatee River. Woke up every morning to birds singing, sunlight floating through the trees adorned with moss, and the sounds of the river flowing along to the sea. There are fish, deer, otters and tons of beautiful birds. Kira has truly created a little slice of heaven and I can’t recommend staying here enough!

Our party had a great time camping at the Rosie site. The camper was very clean and all amenities listed worked appropriately. The site itself was almost like a mini cul de sac with a completely private fire pit with enough room to pitch a tent as well. With your back to camper all you see is the fire and the woods, additionally your vehicle if parked at the site visually blocks the road making it seem even more private. Kira was a great host, she very quick to respond and accommodating. She also laid out all the information we needed very nicely and detailed which made reaching the site and using the camper a breeze. Overall it was a great site and I would definitely suggest it to anyone who wants to either try trailer camping or who is looking for that in the first.

I had a wonderful stay! The area was perfect with lots of restaurants nearby and a Publix within walking distance. There's a farmers market on the weekends around the corner. The camper was great with a comfortable bed, kitchen appliances, air conditioning. Lots of nearby beaches and plenty of things to do and see. I would highly recommend and I will definitely be staying here again.

We had a awesome time. The first night was a little different that expected because there was a group partying until late but other than that it was perfect. Our second day we walked for about 2 hours and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Other than fellow campers, we saw one employee temporarily for our entire stay. Check in was quick and easy at the entrance, we were escorted to our site, and the accommodations for us and our pets were excellent. The trailer was clean and well equipped, including kitchen equipment, fresh towels, and linens. The WiFi worked well, and there was a good selection of cable channels on tv. There was such a large choice of amenities in the park that most people could stay busy. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, activities throughout the day, and walking trails all over the park. Additionally there is an on site restaurant next to the pool to pick up a quick meal. Would definitely stay there again. Check out was a simple task of dropping off the key.

The tent camping was peaceful, and the site was comfortable. There was plenty of shade, and, to our surprise & delight, our site had strings of solar lights that helped us see but did not take much away from the natural ambience. The lights were far enough apart that we still enjoyed our view of the night sky.
April, the host, was hellpful, as was her husband Jerry. Chris & Kendall Campion, the owners, swung by one day to check everything out. They were very hospitable and made us feel welcome.
The shower was hot, and the facilities were basic but did the job as described.
The farm animals were an added treat that enhanced both the sights and sounds of the experience.
We didn't take advantage of the play areas this time, but we plan to return this Spring with our kids & Grandkids for a relaxing time away for our whole family.
