Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Whether you'd like a leisurely day on the river or an adventure in the Gulf, there are plenty of boating options nearby. Be sure to make it back to the property in time to enjoy amazing sunsets that bring peace and tranquility to your experience. Nice private spot, access to toilet and shower with hot water. Lots of other campers' kids running around, they helped us find our campsite upon arrival. Very friendly space, accurately portrayed on the listing. Disappointed to not see any gators (we are from Canada) but apparently that's a good thing when you're camping :)

I loved it there! So quiet and peaceful. The camp ground is nostalgic and small. The bathroom and shower could use some help (to be honest), but the running water by the cabin seems to be well-water, cold, and very fresh. A quick well-water shower behind the cabin was refreshing and lovely. Centrally located to lots of area hiking and things to do. Historic Brooksville was adorable and I highly recommend having brunch at the Lazy Maid Creperie, voted #1 restaurant in Brooksville. I would definitely come back to this camp ground and utilize the cabin again. I also liked the primitive camp sites and only a short walk from parking. My entire experience was two thumbs up.

Check in was quick and easy at the entrance, we were escorted to our site, and the accommodations for us and our pets were excellent. The trailer was clean and well equipped, including kitchen equipment, fresh towels, and linens. The WiFi worked well, and there was a good selection of cable channels on tv. There was such a large choice of amenities in the park that most people could stay busy. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, activities throughout the day, and walking trails all over the park. Additionally there is an on site restaurant next to the pool to pick up a quick meal. Would definitely stay there again. Check out was a simple task of dropping off the key.

This was a great place to camp! We stayed at camp site 5, which was tucked away in the woods along the trail. It felt remote and secluded, which made for a peaceful stay. There were three of us staying and we each had enough room with our own tents. We were able to purchase fire wood on site which was convenient. The spot is far enough away from people to feel like primitive camping but it’s also a close enough drive off the highway that we ran to Walmart for some extra supplies. Since it is near the highway I could hear some traffic at night but that is not a deal breaker for me, especially since everything else worked well for us. It was only about 15-20 minutes from Weeki Wachee Springs, which was a fun excursion. The site was clean, the addition of the shower and bathroom were pleasant, and the property was beautiful. I think all three of us are considering coming back in the future!

Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

Absolutely loved it!!!! So so cute and pretty spacious! I felt i was in my own world but there were also many families around me, so I felt very safe as well! If you’re on the taller side, though, definitely bring a mattress or cot haha other then that it was so cute! Will definitely come again!

My GF and I had been looking for a cabin to stay at and found this lovely location. There are plenty of locations to go biking and kayaking as well. The only issues we found was that the shower would be either really hot or really cold so you had to play with it to shower well. Other than that great experience.
