Kelly’s place was great place to spend the night. Their camper is perfect for the hot weather in Florida because it has AC. It also has a great outdoor shower with warm or cold water. You also have a spot to park your vehicle in front of the camper.

This little slice of heaven is absolutely breathtaking. It backs up on to the lake. Very clean and well taken care of. Sunset was beautiful. Outdoor shower works very well. Saw fish, osprey and plenty of gators.

2 nights at La Quinta Bonita Homestead

Kelley & Vic were very hospitable to us; we enjoyed the tour of their property, as well as the homemade bread and eggs we were able to purchase from their homestead. They also had great recommendations for us regarding nearby outdoor recreation areas. We thoroughly enjoyed Ravine Gardens State Park and visiting Angels Diner in Palatka. We comfortably fit two adults in the camper, and we’re grateful that the other adult who came with us had an in-car camping set up. It would have been very, very tight had all three of us needed to fit in the camper. We’d recommended no more than two for the camper. Camper did have a neat cooler/fridge inside that was spacious! The outdoor shower was amazing - all three of us absolutely loved it! And the fact that warm water was accessible was a win. The water got up to about 88 degrees or so. The compostable toilet was inside a small tent and cleaned daily. It felt slightly on display just with how close it was to the fire pit, but was convenient and easy to access. The fire pit was the perfect size, and tons of wood was supplied ($10/night). Our favorite part was hanging out around the fire pit during the evenings under the stars. TONS of stars, and beautiful wind blowing through the trees. Lots of fun animal sounds too! If you plan to cook over the fire, be sure to bring your own tools and equipment. All in all, great experience! We’d go again and are looking forward to seeing how Kelley and Vic continue to grow their homestead!

Weekend Trip to Rest Nest in Umatilla Florida

The host was absolutely amazing and the property was beautiful and peaceful!! My husband and I booked another site that was not as advertised (we immediately left due to not feeling safe) and the wonderful host at Courtney's Land saved the day and was very quick to accept our reservation (with a very short notice) and saved our weekend! The host was so pleasant and easy to communicate with. The property was easy to find. This site is perfect for primative camping with plenty of room to explore. They have little peaceful trails around the property that were fun to explore. We will defiantly visit again!

Weekend Trip to La Quinta Bonita Homestead

We had an absolutely amazing experience this past weekend at Victor and Kelley's private campground! From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly accommodating and sweet, welcoming us with a personalized sign that made us feel right at home. The campsite was spotless and well-maintained, offering a truly serene and relaxing environment. The outdoor shower was a highlight—pumping out hot water with better pressure than my shower at home! Taking a hot shower outdoors was such a unique and refreshing experience. The on-site camper was a lifesaver during the chilly nights, providing a cozy, warm retreat for the kids, who absolutely loved it. Inside, we found thoughtful touches like coffee, a coffee maker, cups, a toaster, and hot water for cleaning our hands. The picnic bench on the property was perfect for preparing and enjoying our meals. The property itself is a gem. The kids had a blast exploring the woods, and the quiet, peaceful setting made for a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. We also ventured to nearby Ravine Gardens State Park to hike the Azalea Trail, which was beautiful and added to our memorable weekend. This place is everything you could want in a camping experience: serene, clean, and hosted by some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Victor and Kelley truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. We’ll 99.999% be back again (leaving that 0.001% in case I croak).
