Would recommend to everyone!! The host is very helpful and informative. The area itself is very well taken care of and they have a bathroom, shower, and an area to wash dishes. I stayed here with my two kids and never once felt unsafe!

This place is the perfect escape from the daily grind! The hosts responded to all of our messages quickly. This is a little slice of heaven you don’t want to miss out on! There is a private nature trail and the tent sites along the nature trail are nice and private. Felt like home definitely will be back!

Very large campsites, nice shaded areas. Owners are good to deal with. Lots of wildlife. Quiet and relaxing. Road in is kinda rough. Price is great for the lot.

I went there to have some time alone. The property was nice, there was a lot of traffic and air traffic noise on which I hadn't considered until I got there. Other than that, very beautiful. I was greeted and shown the way to my cabin by one of the owners. Thank you.

Weekend Trip to By the Pond...

We had the most amazing visit. Having my daughter get to see all the animals and fruit plants and trees. Sit by the lake and see bee hives! Definitely coming back!

We had a great time! Walked to the ranch down the road for produce and strawberry picking, my husband did tons of fishing, and we took a nice walk on the nature trail! Will definitely be back!

This place was so great. It was peaceful. We saw wild baby bunnies, unidentified birds, and ducks. The nature trail was a big hit with the kids because of fallen trees they loved climbing. The road noise at night was loud at times. Lots of small planes too because the Brooksville airport is nearby. The soot we had was private and cozy with a wooden deck for tent (although ours is too big for it), nice bew picnic table, water hose, fire pit with chairs all surrounded by a privacy fence. Bathrooms were a bonus for sure and with hot water. We did not use the shower, but there is one. We will be back.

6 nights at By the Pond...

It's a fantastic spot. If you're looking for a central Florida type of get away you'll be hard pressed to beat this place. It's quiet, peaceful, birds galore. We spent 7 days here and I could easily spend 7 more. The hosts were great, they basically left us alone (in the best way, they were very attentive, friendly, and helpful). We traveled during spring break and had a beautiful site next to the pond. There's plenty of grocery and other types of stores within a few miles if you need anything but you'd never know it while sitting on site, it's very secluded and private. We'll be back for sure.

2 nights at Smokey Acres

This was our second visit to Smokey Acres. The sites are big so you're not on top of your neighbors. Bathroom and showers kept stocked and clean. There's even a small nature trail with tent sites nestled in the woods. What's not to love!

Everything was exactly what I needed. Primitive location. Fire pits, picnic table. Place to camp while I was working in Florida.

The primitive tent sites were nicely tucked away in the woods with plenty of space for two tents. We were glad to have a wagon to load and unload because it's a minute or two walk from the cars.
