Weekend Trip to Shannon Trails bring your horses

Anne’s place was absolutely perfect! Restaurants, kayak launch, and rainbow Springs all only a few short minutes away! Anne’s outdoor rustic kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. And her outdoor bathroom/shower was AWESOME! So much better and cleaner than any state park bathroom facilities we’ve visited. Anne was such a pleasure to have awesome conversations with and she is more than accommodating and so friendly! We will absolutely return. I give her little Country Oasis a 10 out of 10!

First and foremost Mike and Rob are some of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met!. Upon arrival they checked in on us to see if we needed help with the RV, they offered a tour of their farm to us on Friday (normally only do it on Saturdays) because our grandson was going to be there. We stayed here a year ago and since then they’ve made some very nice up grades to include a both on with a changing table and propane grills at the sight. The only downside is we had only booked 2 nights and could have stayed much longer but for some reason God opted to not make me a millionaire so off to work I go 🤣

Stay at the campsite was wonderful. We had more space than any camp site with ever stayed at. The adminities provided by the host were exceptional.

This hip camp is simply amazing! We have stayed at many, but this one rates right up at the top. Our camping spot was clean, private, and located near brand new beautiful bathrooms equipped with showers. They even provide towels! It also has an outdoor kitchen equipped with a Keurig coffeemaker. You are secluded within their fenced 60-acre ranch where the donkeys and horses roam free, and come right up to your campsite to visit. The owners Rob & Mike took us for a complete farm tour where we saw and petted over 100 animals that they care for. These guys go above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy and enjoying all the amenities they offer. They even provide a starter kit of firewood and you can purchase more on-site if you want! We loved every bit of our experience there, and would welcome going back again!

Mike is a very nice host and this is one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. This is a beautiful place with really nice bath house- the showers are clean and spacious, and the complementary coffee/hot chocolate bar was lovely. The kids had a great time swinging in the tree swings. We will be back!

Such a relaxing time at Lucky U Ranch!!! Rob and Mike were very friendly and welcoming. The property was very beautiful with great amenities. Showers were nice and so was the restroom super clean and also the community pavilion. Definitely enjoyed my stay and will be back again.

Weekend Trip to Touch of Heaven Camper

Cute, clean, comfy little camper overlooking a small pasture of goats. Host is very friendly and offers a few meals, treats and farm products for purchase and a pamphlet of activities in the area. I thought that was a nice extra touch to the stay. Overall it was nice relaxing lodging for my wife's birthday weekend kayaking Rainbow River together.

4 nights at Gulf Winds Wildlife Sanctuary

The animal tour was even better than expected! So many animals and interactive birds. Lemurs, ferrets, foxes, a dingo etc. The adults and kids loved this stay. We are hoping to come back next year for a couple more days. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We loved Lucky U! We stayed at an RV site with electric/ water/ sewage hook up. The site was near the super clean and amazing bathrooms/ showers. This place is peaceful and a great spot to unplug and hang out with no distractions. My kiddos loved the morning visits of donkeys/ horses. We brought lots of carrots and apples with us and we went through them fairly quickly 😆 The farm tour was cute— my kids enjoyed holding baby goats. We went to Wichee Wachee springs, Homosassa springs, and some nearby Caves (Peace and Dames Caves on Trail 22). The caves were a huge hit with my kids and we went back again another day. Mike and Rob were great! Very nice and responded quickly to any needs (our AC broke on our camper so we added a rented one to our Hipcamp reservation while on property and they had it out to us within 30 minutes. This was our first Hipcamp experience and it could not have been better!

Incredible place to stay with farm animals to feed, clean bathrooms, fast WiFi, fresh towels, all you can drink coffee and hot chocolate, and very responsive and friendly hosts. It’s the perfect place to bring a family, close to numerous state parks and natural springs. It’s worth the drive, regardless of where you’re driving from!

I loved the camper! The area was very relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle. We visited Rainbow Springs and KP Hole. Highly recommend!!

I chose this place because of all the amazing reviews, and I’m happy to say they were spot on! Crystal was incredibly welcoming and sweet upon our arrival, she provided a helpful guide with local places to visit as well as a list of farm fresh products available to purchase. The trailer was super clean, and thoughtfully prepared ensuring a comfortable overnight stay. While we didn’t have much time to fully experience all the farm had to offer we truly appreciated the peaceful setting and outstanding hospitality. You’ll love this farm, if you’re thinking about staying here do it! You won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Lucky U Ranch with our three kids! The natural beauty of the place is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. One of the highlights was the farm tour—our kids absolutely loved interacting with the animals, especially the playful little goats! The donkeys and horses even visited our site, and we got to feed them, which was such a memorable moment for the whole family. The hosts were amazing—super kind and especially great with the kids during the tour. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Our kids are still talking about the free hot chocolate—they were thrilled! It was truly a great experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend it for families looking to unwind and connect with nature.

I stayed at the "Hobbit Hole". I had a relaxing stay. The campsites are spread far apart so there's plenty of privacy. I love seeing all the animals and feeding the donkeys.🥰

Very welcoming and friendly. My tent site was secluded from others. The trails were full of amazing plant life. My favorite moment was when the horses visited my site! The ranch tour was also very interesting.

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, this is it. Loved the animals and the night sky, unfortunately our visit was brief, would have loved to stay a little longer. Crystal is very friendly and has loads of information about the area. Definitely recommend a visit!!

We totally loved our time at Lucky U Ranch! The Cypress view is where we stayed. It was so close to the bathhouse/kitchen! This was our first time hip camping. I think we were spoiled! Our favorites were the horses/donkeys roaming during the day and the tour they gave us of their ranch…goats, baby goats, etc!! So fun!! Bring some carrots!
