Once you are settled in,  it is time to gather wood and build a fire in one of the (2) 8 foot wide,  2 ton concrete fire pits.   Awake a dawn with a nice kayak/canoe trip on a secluded water trail thru mangrove islands and stop for lunch at River's Edge Bar and Grill across the river from the island.  Having too much fun, take a nap in hammock and rock to breeze and sounds of river.  This is an island is accessible via water only so there is some preparation to get here and stay here.  Kayaks, Canoes and a shuttle are available if you don't have your own transportation.  Please contact prior to booking to ensure you understand the packages, for example,  if you want to rent the whole island for yourself and need transportation for your group. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

2 nights at Rasayana Cove

My son and I stayed at Ramayana Cove while we were in town hunting at Razzor Ranch, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin is rustic, but more than sufficient—clean, comfortable, and a great place to recharge after long days outdoors. The property itself is beautiful. What really stood out were the nighttime bonfires and the sky. With no light pollution, the stars were incredible—clear, bright, and endless. Sitting by the fire under that kind of sky with my son made for some memorable conversations and a true reset from everyday life. If you’re looking for something polished and luxury-driven, this isn’t that. But if you want peaceful, natural, and authentic Florida outdoors with a quiet, unplugged vibe, this place delivers. We’d absolutely come back.

Stayed here for 2 nights. There were other guests but you would not have known it. Although the landscape took a hit due to Florida having one of its coldest winters it was still lovely to see how nature grows with what’s thrown at it. My 2 dogs loved running around and smelling everything. I would come again! - direction to property are straight forward Apple Maps took me straight there. - host was easy to get in contact with via the app or phone number. - cell service for me was good (att) - environment was mostly quiet. You are next to a road but that doesn’t bother me. - a little hard for the dogs to get in and out on site 4. Went over to 6 and it was much easier.

Weekend Trip to By the Pond...

We camped at Mike’s over a long weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The pond had really clear water and both of my sons caught a fish! As others have said you do hear some highway noise but it didn’t bother us at all. We enjoyed the Peacefulness of the property. There was only a few campers out there so my boys could throw a football around without worrying about traffic. We had purchased wood for a fire, but didn’t realize there was a burn ban. Mike offered to refund us the money for it and that was very nice! We also payed to rent the poop caddy and Mike would come and haul it away whenever needed! We really appreciated that and it made dumping our tanks so easy. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat the property is located close to lots of fast food options and a few gas stations just minutes away. Mike was even nice enough to let us put our paddle board in the pond and take a spin around. The pond was surprisingly bigger than I’d expected. We look forward to staying again soon!

Mike was a very helpful and welcoming host. His little paradise offers a lot of seclusion and a great view of their really large pond, which is practically a lake. I had a problem with my trailer, and Mike jumped on it and helped me immediately. There’s chickens running around with roosters and tons of different fruit trees, and a lot of wildlife and it’s a great little spot that I will definitely return to.

I had a lovely stay with my jeep and dog at Mike’s place on the pond. A hidden gem I’d say, a working organic fruit farm brilliant with eclectic old Florida rustic charm. Mike was so incredibly friendly, showing me around the beautiful property., a work in progress full of passion and love for the land. My camp site 7 was quiet, clean and just remote enough to enjoy a beautiful evening amongst the stars. The morning of my departure, Mike stopped by to gift me with some lovely star fruit. Such a thoughtful gesture and so incredibly kind. I would highly recommend Mikes place, getting away tucked into this beautiful piece of land at the pond , a quiet little piece of heaven amongst the fruit trees with a bohemian grass roots vibe. ~ Mandee & Pico

Weekend Trip to Spotted Dance Ranch

We had such a great experience at the Spotted Dance Ranch. The owners we so friendly and helpful. John even helped my camper backing challenged hubs into our space. We got a tour of the horse barn and great suggestions for the area. Clean bathhouse. Everything was perfect! Will return yearly for sure. Check out the nearby Withlachookie Trail, 46 places miles. We brought our e-bikes!

The Lodge was great. Clean. Great parking. A lovely walk around the area. Had a relaxing time. Even if you dont fish it's an excellent place to stay. Best warm pool we had the whole 2 month trip all over Florida.

1 night at By the Pond...

A working farm oasis perfect for primitive camping! There is a sandy drive looping around a pond area where rustic camp sites are designated; so it makes the camping best for tenting or a camper van sized vehicle. There is no restroom, showering, water, electric available, but this is not a deal breaker. The land is lovely and sites are well spaced and give you privacy. A bit of highway hum can be heard, but not enough to distract or keep you awake. It is best to make reservations in advance and arrive prior to sundown. This will give you time to scope out the farm and sites as there is no lighting to guide you. I would definitely stay again!

Bolton and Jamie are incredible hosts! They have a lovely property and the amount of work and effort they put in to make this extra special is quite obvious! We will definitely stay here every time we come down to Sebring!
