Diane and Chris's property was perfect. The property itself is beautiful and nicely tucked away for some peace and quiet while still being very convenient to normal amenities and the special aspects of the Homosassa and Crystal River area. Our dogs had lots of space to roam and were particularly fond of Diane. Diane and Chris were both extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had whatever we needed. Diane is such a kind soul; she made excellent recommendations for the area and continually offered us amenities and help. One of our dogs got sick and she even kept checking in on her the rest of our stay. By far a favorite spot and favorite hosts for us.

We had an amazing weekend getaway at the serene Shady Oak Pad and it's safe to say we'll be returning soon. The secluded four-acre site provided us with the perfect retreat as we were the sole guests, allowing our dogs to roam freely without any disturbance! Loved camping here. The campground was beautiful and magical. We had deer visit us during the night and enjoyed the hoot owls calling to each other. Yvette is a wonderful camp host and made us feel so welcome even with our late arrival. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some. We felt like a wanted guest in her home. Super bougie spot to Hipcamp! Not sure they understand the nature of Hipcamp yet - very new. We were the only pop up travel trailer. This is more of a RV park. Amenities are amazing. Guests very welcoming. No communication with host via Hipcamp once booked - did not know which site was ours, the gate code, etc. Happened to run into a guest who once worked the office and she helped us.

A good place to park a travel trailer if you can't get into Lake Louisa or Griffen State Parks. Was quiet and has 30 AMP and city water hook ups. He also has a site with 20 AMP as well as some rooms he rents out. Backing into the site was a little twisty but he came out to guide me in.

We loved Fairytale Forest! Yvette is an incredibly helpful host- so kind, welcoming, and warm. The fairy lights were so helpful with our late arrival for seeing to set up our tent, etc, and Yvette has thought of everything regarding comforts and convenience while camping here. In general over the years with our Hipcamp stays, we’ve come to especially appreciate privacy, and Yvette’s land really offers it well. The setting is peaceful and quiet but only 15 min away from crystal river where we had a lovely day paddling on the water. She also has a screened area for the picnic table, and even though the bugs were (luckily) not bad, I could see how especially appreciated that is in the hotter/buggier seasons. We had such a lovely time and hope to return again!
