You can see how the old orange groves worked as we haven't filled in all the furrows yet. The old orange Grove is now home to cattle, horses, goats, ducks, and our little family. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: If beaches are on your agenda, South Causeway and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park are only 25 minutes from the beach! Our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Carter's Grocery, which is only 4 minutes from our property. ACTIVITIES: We have chickens that lay eggs and are great for eating so if you'd like some fresh eggs, feel free to go over to their house and grab some. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! She loves gardening, and has a complete apothecary of herbs, salves and tinctures for your daily needs. Learn more about this land: Bring your RV (class B or C up to 25", trailers up to 16') to our wooded property next to a private residence with a pool, patio, and firepit.  We have one site that can accommodate up to two guests. No pets, children or smoking. Check in between 2pm and Sunset. Check out 11:00. Enjoy bird-watching in the winter – we have a feeder and birdbath. There’s plenty to explore in the area. The property provides water, 30amp electric and free Wifi.  A dump station and laundry are near by.  Generators are not allowed.  The back-in site can fit up to 25' foot R/V (Class B or C) or a 16' trailer (no longer) on a flat gravel surface.     Groceries, restaurants, and services can be found within 2 miles in the town of Sebastian. The beach is a 10-mile drive, but you can get to the Indian River waterfront at Riverview Park in 2.5 miles. Nearby parks and refuges include Sebastian Inlet State Park, where you can fish or surf, St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park, where there are 60 miles of trails and Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, home to the first NWR in the US.  Vero Beach is about 15 miles South and Melbourne is about 20 miles North.

Had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The campsite itself was very private, and the proximity to the “private-ish” beach was the best part. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was the perfect private getaway. The only downside was that the mini fridge at our site wasn’t working, so we had to rely on our cooler. Aside from that small issue, it was a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back for the peace and quiet.

First time to Nettles Island! Our campsite was in the portion closer to the main road and beach. Really nice spot! Private too. Even though the paved level spot is between two units, there is greenery on the side, so you feel like you have privacy. The spot was very quiet. Short walk to the beach and front pool, which is right by the beach. The other pool is also walkable. That one has two hot tubs. There is a small store and restaurant on Nettles. Store makes sandwiches and sells hot coffee, as well as anything else you might need. Shuckers is in walking distance if you want to go to a restaurant/bar for night life. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a great place! First of all, you are just across the street from the beach and from a turtle sanctuary!! It’s one of the last spots on the Atlantic coast of Florida which is not overdeveloped. I hesitate to broadcast it too much as it is so special! John runs a small surf shop and a surf camp. So there’s a low key, cool business attached to the property (filled with great books to be loaned). The yurt is quite comfortable and has all the amenities you need. It’s very quiet and surrounded by jungle like foliage. I highly recommend this place. We will absolutely be back. My only suggestion is in summer note that they have mosquitoes. It’s manageable, but prepare in advance.
