The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers. There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. We're minutes from town (1.5 miles to the Jonesville Publix) yet totally private. You'll have 8 beautiful acres all to yourself with power, water, and super fast internet. Our caretakers home is about 500ft away but you'll be facing west for the stunning sunsets through the oak trees and won't see it. Although they're ready to help should you need anything. About 1500ft away, and not seen, is the main house, gym, and sauna. You'll be surrounded by stunning Florida nature and most importantly dozens of rescued farm animals that now call Peacefield home. During your stay they won't be in your field but you can say hello through as they'll be your neighbors across the fence. We're also more than happy to give you a farm tour anytime during your stay. You're also welcome eat anything that is ripe on the fruit trees or that is ready in the garden. You'll also have access to our gym and sauna which are shared. It's about a 10 minute walk away up towards the main house. There you'll find a Peloton bike, peloton treadmill, peloton rower, yoga mats, TRX straps, a few free weights, AND Finnish sauna! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) Please note there is no restroom or RV hookup for waste. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, as it was for us at first, don't worry, it's way easier than you think. Oatmeal, avocado toast, black bean tacos, etc. Whatever you already love, just veganise it. And the nearby Publix, or pretty much any grocery store, will have vegan pizza, burgers, and nearly anything you'd crave. We know this lifestyle might be new to you but it's the best thing we've ever done. Your stay could double as a cleanse from the standard American diet. Again, the sanctuary lives up to it's name and is an incredibly special and peaceful place. Run down the tree covered road, do yoga under an oak tree, enjoy the sauna, take a Peloton class, read to the chickens (they love a good story), meditate with the pigs, and so much more. Peacefield is a retreat and a tranquil escape for animals and humans:) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the this space directly supports the animals and our mission. These funds will be used for food, medicine, rescue operations, the emergency vet fund, and so much more! Location One of the coolest things about this place is that it feels so private and secluded yet less than 2 miles to Publix. Approximately 10 miles to downtown Gainesville, The Swamp (UF Stadium), The University of Florida, Whole Foods, and more! This is also a perfect launching pad to explore all the amazing natural springs in north central Florida. Ginnie Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs State Park are some of our favorites - and you're more than welcome to borrow some tubes and pumps. Although we're a little ways from the beach we do have beach chairs and umbrella for your use. Cedar key is about 45 minutes and St Augustine or Crescent Beach is about 1.5 hours. Florida's longest zipline opened July 2, 2025, and is only 15 minutes away. Also close by you'll find University of Florida Gator sports, many Florida springs, and Michael Singer. We have two sites, both with septic, good water, and 50 or 30 amp hookup. The Suwannee Site is for smaller campers up to 27’ feet, and the Ichetucknee Site is more shaded and has room for campers up to 34 feet long. Because of the curviness of our driveway, we cannot accommodate any rigs longer than 50’ including tow vehicle.

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

During your stay they won't be in your field but you can say hello through as they'll be your neighbors across the fence. We're also more than happy to give you a farm tour anytime during your stay. You're also welcome eat anything that is ripe on the fruit trees or that is ready in the garden. You'll also have access to our gym and sauna which are shared. It's about a 10 minute walk away up towards the main house. There you'll find a Peloton bike, peloton treadmill, peloton rower, yoga mats, TRX straps, a few free weights, AND Finnish sauna! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) Please note there is no restroom or RV hookup for waste. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, as it was for us at first, don't worry, it's way easier than you think. Oatmeal, avocado toast, black bean tacos, etc. Whatever you already love, just veganise it. And the nearby Publix, or pretty much any grocery store, will have vegan pizza, burgers, and nearly anything you'd crave. 30 acre vegan farm sanctuary that really lives up to its name! This eco-retreat is located at Peacefield where we rescue and rehabilitate farm animals - this space helps support the mission, so we and the animals really appreciate you staying with us! We're minutes from town (1.5 miles to the Jonesville Publix) yet totally private. You'll have 8 beautiful acres all to yourself with power, water, and super fast internet. Our caretakers home is about 500ft away but you'll be facing west for the stunning sunsets through the oak trees and won't see it. Although they're ready to help should you need anything. About 1500ft away, and not seen, is the main house, gym, and sauna. You'll be surrounded by stunning Florida nature and most importantly dozens of rescued farm animals that now call Peacefield home. During your stay they won't be in your field but you can say hello through as they'll be your neighbors across the fence. We're also more than happy to give you a farm tour anytime during your stay. You're also welcome eat anything that is ripe on the fruit trees or that is ready in the garden. You'll also have access to our gym and sauna which are shared. It's about a 10 minute walk away up towards the main house. There you'll find a Peloton bike, peloton treadmill, peloton rower, yoga mats, TRX straps, a few free weights, AND Finnish sauna! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) Please note there is no restroom or RV hookup for waste. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, as it was for us at first, don't worry, it's way easier than you think. Oatmeal, avocado toast, black bean tacos, etc. Whatever you already love, just veganise it. And the nearby Publix, or pretty much any grocery store, will have vegan pizza, burgers, and nearly anything you'd crave. We know this lifestyle might be new to you but it's the best thing we've ever done. Your stay could double as a cleanse from the standard American diet. Again, the sanctuary lives up to it's name and is an incredibly special and peaceful place. Run down the tree covered road, do yoga under an oak tree, enjoy the sauna, take a Peloton class, read to the chickens (they love a good story), meditate with the pigs, and so much more. Peacefield is a retreat and a tranquil escape for animals and humans:) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the this space directly supports the animals and our mission. These funds will be used for food, medicine, rescue operations, the emergency vet fund, and so much more! Location One of the coolest things about this place is that it feels so private and secluded yet less than 2 miles to Publix. Approximately 10 miles to downtown Gainesville, The Swamp (UF Stadium), The University of Florida, Whole Foods, and more! This is also a perfect launching pad to explore all the amazing natural springs in north central Florida. Ginnie Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs State Park are some of our favorites - and you're more than welcome to borrow some tubes and pumps. Although we're a little ways from the beach we do have beach chairs and umbrella for your use. Cedar key is about 45 minutes and St Augustine or Crescent Beach is about 1.5 hours. The site was very secluded and quiet. The host met us at the gate and directed us on where to park. The road was very soft dirt but we got into a fairly flat area. They have 30 and 50 amp extension cords to plug into and water hook ups. They have a disc golf basket in a field with discs to use. Their dog is super friendly and the emu came up pretty close to us.

We loved tent camping on Tom’s property at Glenn Farm! We went in November, and the weather was a little chilly overnight, but the firepit was a great addition. No need to bring your own wood, Tom says it helps the farm when campers use windfallen branches. Being not too close to any major cities with light pollution, the stars are numerous and extremely visible on a clear night. We woke up to a scenic fog rolling over the pasture, with Cows grazing in an adjacent field. Tom was very friendly, driving us over to our campsite, checking in with us as he led sheep out to pasture in the morning, and giving us a rundown on local things to do and the history of the property. This is absolutely a hidden gem in northeast Florida, and we will most definitely be coming back again!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time camping here! It was very private and quiet. The views of the stars were amazing! This would be a perfect spot to watch a meteor shower. Tom gave us a tour of his property and let us feed some of his cute sheep and highland cows! Tom was a great host; he let us check out later because no one was camping behind us and was fun to talk to. We went to High Springs for dinner and coffee and that town is so cute! I was so impressed by the restaurant selection; I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. We especially enjoyed Colsie Coffee and Serendipity. The locals were extremely nice and we had great chats with many of them. We would definitely camp here again!

We just spent a few nights at Dunigan’s Meadow, hosted by Judy and her son, Tom — two of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet. Their hospitality made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The property is absolutely beautiful — rolling pastureland with cows, sheep, and three adorable donkeys roaming freely. We loved that they welcomed all three of our dogs with open arms. Judy even let us drive into the pasture so the dogs could chase racquetballs while the cows watched. The cottage itself is small and simple, not luxury by any means — but it’s clean, cozy, and has so much heart. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the little touches — like the vase of fresh sunflowers from Judy’s garden — really made it feel special. This isn’t a polished, modern stay; it’s a real cottage on a working farm, and that’s exactly what we loved about it. We didn’t have to tiptoe around fancy furniture or worry about the dogs. Every morning we stepped outside into misty fields and watched the fog roll over the pasture. There’s even a natural sinkhole filled with water that adds to the peaceful scenery. Dunagun’s Meadow is one of those rare places that resets your spirit — simple, authentic, and deeply grounding. If you love nature, animals, and genuine people, this place will feed your soul.

I highly recommend Big Oak Farm Dog and Horse Camping! It’s an idyllic little spot to stay with the family, with pets or solo. It’s easy to locate and very accessible near a state road. I booked last minute, (I’m talking about an hour beforehand). The host responded quickly and was very welcoming. Every time I reached out through the app, during my stay, the response was quick. The hosts were attentive, but definitely gave you your privacy. Although, their very clear directions and instructions were posted on the site, they took the time to greet me personally and helped me get set up with water and electricity, using their own hose and extension cord to save me the trouble of dragging out my own. There is a large fenced in area for the dogs to run around safely. My 3 had a great time and were fascinated by the pig and the emu in the adjoining field. It’s a beautiful sight to see horses in the field while having your morning coffee! I decided to book a second night after seeing the stars the first night. There is no noticeable light pollution and little to no traffic at night. I would recommend bringing a telescope, you won’t be disappointed. I would definitely stay again!

This is a view of a camper parked in the Suwannee Site as seen from our back door. The interior walls of our barn are still under construction as of summer 2025. The 50 or 30 AMP electric hook-up, water hook-up, and sewer hook-up are all located on the other side of this camper right next to our barn. You might be able to tell that you will need to drive over the sidewalk to get to the Suwannee Site. That is the reason that we have to limit the size of campers that stay in the Suwannee Site. We don't want the weight of your camper to crack our sidewalk. Once you unhook your tow vehicel, we ask that you park it without driving over the sidewalk unnecessarily.

This is a very peaceful and private space. Personal entrance, and plenty of animals (even an emu!) to greet in a separate fenced off area, There's a hammock, Frisbee golf, and plenty of room to walk around. This is a great place to stay especially for families. Tip: For the best setup, be sure to bring an extension cable and long water hose.

It was very peaceful. Very nice little setup. Had a fire ring and picnic table and that’s all you need. Me dogs roamed around and quickly learned about the cactus. No harm done and there are warning signs, my dogs just can’t read. It’s a nice little retreat away. We will definitely be back.

The property truly has a little bit of everything- from friendly farm animals like donkeys, cows, and goats, to an incredible cave with its own private swimming hole. The best part? You’ll have these huge, scenic spaces entirely to yourself. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. And to top it off, the host, Tom, is one of the coolest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He was a pleasure to chat with and shared some fascinating stories about the land’s history that made the stay even more special.
