Honey’s Place is a lovely jungle oasis in the heart of an urban neighborhood. John was a great host and very responsive. He has created a little piece of paradise and made us feel completely welcome. We made trips to Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, South Beach, and Miami downtown. The chickens and peacock were very friendly. We loved this unique place!

Beautiful place! John is very attentive and he make sure we had the best experience. Wish I had more days to enjoy. Definitely would come again in the future. The water, privacy and nature makes a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. I recommend 100%.

A gem of a HipCamp that is a perfect stop before heading to the Keys. Really enjoyed a quick overnight stay. The site itself is secluded and really great looking. The only issues are a little tight entry gate for any longer RVs. There was also some noice from a next door property in the morning, but I would definitely say not the fault of the host.
Last thing is road right outside the property is not the best maintained gravel road, but it is ok if you go slow, and only a couple of hundred feet from the Main Street to the property.

This campsite was an absolute dream! It felt like discovering a private oasis tucked away in nature. The private lagoon was stunning — peaceful, and perfect for a swim or a relaxing canoe ride. Having our own canoe to explore the water made the experience even more special.
The evening was just as magical, sitting by the fireplace under the stars. It was quiet, cozy, and the perfect spot to unwind and disconnect.
The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they put a lot of care into maintaining the place — everything was spotless and thoughtfully set up.
If you’re looking for a serene getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Can’t wait to return! 🌿🔥🛶

Sandra and Joe were great! Sandra was quick to respond to messages. They were very understanding when we had RV issues and had to arrive after dark. Joe came out and helped with the gate and letting us know where to park. The grounds were beautiful. Our dog was very welcome there. Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay.

Honey’s Place is a true hidden gem — a magical tropical oasis right in the middle of Miami. The lush surroundings felt like a little paradise escape, and we especially loved watching the sunset on the pond from the boat — it was pure magic. Everything was peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully kept. We’d definitely come back and can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway in the city!

Honey's place is an amazing little oasis in the heart of Miami. I was not expecting it to be as beautiful and serene as it was, but it exceeded all expectations!! John is not one of those hosts that is snooping around your campsite, but he is always reachable via message, and that makes him a great caretaker. The grounds are very clean and the location is within a 15 - 30 min drive to most attractions or major locations in Miami. My wife, mother in law, and I, loved our time at honey's place and can't wait to go back!!!

This place is a real gem ! As your driving through the suburbs in Miami u think to yourself “ no way “ but yes way !! Tucked behind a sprawling unassuming fence you’ll find a little slice of paradise . Something f to discover in every corner . We loved camping here! So cute and peaceful. John was extremely helpful whenever we needed and even made sure we were comfortable by putting out tiki torches for us when the mosquitoes were out. Amazing stay!

Amazing! John has a really special place here and we certainly enjoyed our stay. This was such a peaceful retreat away from the hustle of the city. It is well located for day trips in the city, but also has anything you may need close by. John was incredibly kind and welcoming. I so appreciated waking up to the water and palms outside our windows. We would happily stay again!

John’s property is gorgeous! I can tell he’s passionate about it and wants his guests to have an amazing experience. If staying in summer I would definitely recommend a tent fan or cooler of some sort as the weather can be extremely humid. My fiancée and I loved the pond and the fish in it as well as all the little lizards. His set up with the lights and mini-beach under coconut trees is breathtaking! I hope to be able to come back sometime 😄

Our trip was fantastic!! This property is gorgeous and the family takes such great care of the grounds! We got a site right next to the little beach and enjoyed the free range chickens and letting the dogs swim! We came from Ohio to let our dogs get some beach time and us as mom and dad well deserved R and R and this gave us just that. Super close to downtown Miami and all the beaches. We will be back the hot showers were a great bonus.
