This property features five RV sites—four with 30-amp power and one with 50-amp power. All sites include water hookups, and there's a wastewater dump station and trash cans for convenience.
Easy Access and Secure Camping
Located directly off Hwy 20, RV sites are at the front of the property, with plenty of room to navigate and clearance from overhead trees. The sites are behind double iron gates on a fenced and secure property.
Surrounded by Nature and Adventure
The Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail runs along the back of the property, this bike, walking, and horse trail was formerly a railroad and now connects Downtown Gainesville to Hawthorne. Enjoy the historic Lochloosa Creek, with the old train bridge still in use for the trail. Loaner bikes are available for guests to explore the trail.
The camp site it's about an hour's bike ride to Gainesville or a 15-minute drive by car. Hawthorne is just six minutes away.
Farm Life and Pet-Friendly Atmosphere
This is an active Florida Department of Agriculture hemp farm and Homestead.
Animals on-site: Outside the fenced camp area, you'll find pet cows and donkeys—all friendly and never raised for food. Feel free to feed and pet them without crossing the fence! Ducks and chickens may wander near the camping area.
If you're towing horses, they are welcome to graze within the camping area. If multiple guests have horses, we’ll guide you to a larger pasture.
Pets are welcome! Just keep them leashed near the other farm animals.
Campfire and Late-Night Access
Campfires are permitted—enjoy a cozy evening under the stars! 🔥
The gates remain locked and you'll have access to the lock code. Gainesville's restaurants and bars close at 2 AM, so you can enjoy a night out without worry.
Riding the Trail
The trail leads to Depot Park in Downtown Gainesville, where you’ll find restaurants, pubs, live entertainment, and the Cade Museum, there're also multiple trails, preserves and attractions along the way, the trail is part of the Paynes Prairie State Park. Electric bikes are allowed on the trail, making for an easy ride.

Set on over 60 acres along the Suwannee River, this historic property (formerly known as Suwannee River Cove) is under new ownership and being thoughtfully restored and reimagined as Oaken River. Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.

At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

I camped at Jewel’s Sink in April 2026 and had an unforgettable experience. I set up my tent on a small landing near the bottom of the sinkhole, which made for one of the most unique campsites I’ve ever stayed in. Hauling my gear up and down the steep sinkhole was definitely a challenge, but absolutely worth it for the chance to spend the night inside a sinkhole.
Just before sunset, the light poured through the opening near the stairs and lit up the water below—it was pure golden hour and easily the highlight of the evening. I also brought my dive gear and explored the sinkhole underwater, using my dive light to spot the cave entrance below. At night, a bat circled overhead, which added to the surreal atmosphere.
A couple downsides: there was quite a bit of poison ivy around the area, so watch your step, and the small landing at the bottom was a little cluttered with trash and debris. Still, for the scenery and the novelty alone, it was a memorable and worthwhile adventure.

Amazing host, super informative, even gave us a tour and directions at 9:30pm, the arrow head sink is also a super cool a private experience, well worth the price, campsites are standard with a bench, fire pit with metal grate, and compost toilet, very nice and secluded, lots of deer, rabbits, birds. Great spot.

We absolutely loved this place! For Easter weekend, we wanted a quiet getaway and being surrounded by goats, chickens, pigs, and a horse instead of people was the perfect place. We enjoyed sitting on the swings watching the animals graze with the roosters crowing in the background. At night, we could see the stars and had fun finding constellations that we hadn't seen in years. We both have pretty bad allergies, so we weren't sure how we would do on a farm. I gotta say, for roughly 50 animals...it smelled fresh and wonderful to us. We had no issues, only the occasional sneezing from grass or dust. We loved the variety of animals and how they interacted with each other. The outhouse (which we didn't need) was spotless, and no issues with the campsite. The wi-fi was more than adequate. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a breath taking view of a beautiful spring. We stayed one night and it was perfect. I wanted to stay longer but it was booked so if you get a chance to go take it. Michael was a PERFECT HOST. I had to call him twice because my phone was messing up and he was perfectly polite each time. It’s is very secluded. It is a small climb down to the spring so bring GOOD SHOES. It was so fun. If you forget anything there is a CVS open till 9 and two circle K gas stations only 10 minutes away. WE FORGOT BUG SPRAY AND NEEDED IT. I would recommend this to anyone. I will be going back.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Tom and Judy’s Hipcamp and this place is something special.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how beautiful the property is. The wide open field is peaceful and scenic, surrounded by tall, broad oak trees that give just the right mix of shade and sun. It’s the kind of place where you immediately relax and slow down.
The animals were a huge highlight to include friendly sheep, curious donkeys, and gentle cows roaming nearby added so much character and made the experience feel unique and memorable (especially if you’re bringing kids or just enjoy being around animals).
Everything was very well maintained. The campsite itself was clean and thoughtfully set up, and even the outhouse was spotless, which honestly says a lot about the care Tom and Judy put into their property.
On top of that, the location is perfect. There are several incredible springs nearby, and we spent our days kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming in crystal-clear water. It’s hard to beat that combination of peaceful camping and easy access to outdoor adventure.
Tom and Judy were wonderful hosts. Both friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the family farm.
We’ll absolutely be back. If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic, and genuinely enjoyable camping experience, this is it.

The turn off the main road can be a little hard to find but I promise it does exist lol. We had a blast with our 2 dogs! The sink is beautiful and so cool! We left the dogs in the tent to explore? It’s a bit too treacherous for them. A lot of ants around the property but you’re outside so it’s to be expected. Unfortunately there was a fire ban in place so we couldn’t have campfires but that was a city ordinance and not a decision of the host. We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my weekend stay in the sculpture garden with their newly built screened in gazebo. Complete with lights and a ceiling fan. As well as an outlet to charge my devices. The picnic table and accompanying light for after dark was a plus. Unfortunately we were under a burn ban at the time and I couldn’t enjoy a campfire in the cozy fire pit area. The lush carpet of grass was a nice touch and felt wonderful on my bare feet. Lynn and David were wonderful - helping me park and get level. They even provided the scraps of wood to achieve levelness. Located right next to the chicken enclosure was great. The rooster didn’t bother me a bit as I’m a sound sleeper but something to make note of if that bothers you. Overall my trip was wonderful and I can’t wait to come back for a longer visit. Their dog Winnie was sweet too.
