Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. My son and I had such a great time in the cabin! Colleen and her mom were wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend a stay at their place. The accommodations were clean, AC made for a very comfortable sleep during the hot summer days. It was the perfect place for a quick drive to Crystal River and the surrounding springs that made for an unforgettable mid-week camping trip. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Loved this land! Visited mid-June Summer 2026. Temp maybe 95° in the shade. Quiet and peaceful. WiFi available - ask the host. I work from home and set up my own Starlink (pic) but wifi is available. AC unit strong, an oil space heater is provided. Lights bright enough to see if you need and completely dark when off. Parking close. Bathrooms very clean with linens and soap/shampoo, great pressure and hot water, no ac/heat in bathrooms. I always camp with my own but it’s nice to have the options if you forget. Beds very comfortable and clean. Host provided microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, coffee pods, creamer, sugar packets, salt, pepper, toaster, sink, soap, dishes & drainer, paper towels, first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Pans under sink but I didn’t check for cooking appliances. Like I said, I bring my own. Felt very safe and secure. Wildlife we saw were cranes and hawks and maybe a mink, ferret, or something resembling one. We will definitely return. There is a boat ramp. A few people were on the lake but Florida is experiencing a severe drought and the water level is really low everywhere. We saw a couple of boaters who won tags for alligators— to curb population (legal regulation). Beautiful peaceful place. Lighting bright if you need it, dark if you don’t. Ceiling fan inside and two outside. Host communicates very well. I always reach out before booking any HipCamp. I feel it is courteous especially if there are unforeseen circumstances with the booking.

I had the most amazing glamping experience! It was the perfect peaceful getaway to slow down, unplug, and enjoy nature. My favorite evenings were spent sitting by the fire making s’mores and looking up at the incredible star-filled sky. I loved being able to pick fresh blueberries, gather eggs from the chickens, and harvest green beans, squash, and radishes straight from the garden. Cooking a meal with fresh ingredients from the property made the experience feel even more special and unique. The location was also great; there are beautiful springs just 20 minutes away, making it easy to spend part of the day exploring. One of the biggest highlights for me was being able to bring my dog along. We both had the best time enjoying the peaceful surroundings and open space. If you're looking for a relaxing nature escape with thoughtful touches, fresh farm experiences, and a chance to truly unwind, I highly recommend staying here. Colleen is a wonderful host. The cabin is cozy and well-built - kept critters and rain outside. The window AC unit was a life saver in the FL summer heat. The outdoor shower was heated. - a nice, intentional touch that made a world of difference coming back from fishing in Ozello State Park. The magic of this cabin is at dawn and dusk. The crickets, frogs, and birds make a beautiful symphony in the cool stillness. Which can be enjoyed on the patio on the rocking chair. Bait and tackle, groceries, and restaurants all withing reasonable driving distance. Plenty of boat ramps and fishing around. I absolutely loved my stay.

Weekend Trip to Bowman's Landing

Normally a primitive camper here, first time trying the cabins. Had a fantastic time, great place to beat the heat and relax for the long weekend. Hosts are some of the nicest folks you'll meet!

Nice little place to lay your head. Definitely not the place for everyone but it got the job done for us. Fire ban really killed the ambiance.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Lake Rousseau ,Fl

This was my second time in the cabin on this property, and the owners have done a great job cleaning it up and adding amenities. The cabin had no bugs, no mice, the bed was clean and comfortable, even new fluffy pillows! The mini-split keeps the small cabin dry and cool, even when it's hot and muggy outside. The kayaks we rented were in good shape, the docks have been cleaned up, and the property owners have added a nice pole barn for shade and a bunch of picnic tables. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.
