Our 5 acres is close enough to I-75 and in-town amenities to be convenient but far enough away to offer a peaceful rest from the hustle and bustle of city life. The tent site has a clear view of the large pond and property, and the RV site is tucked between a banana circle and the nursery. We’re a working homestead that’s constantly growing and changing, and there are sheep, goats, chickens, a dog, cats and a bunch of kiddos, but we all have our own spaces away from the RV and tent campsites. Part of the property is a nursery, part of it is a young orchard, and most of it is used to free range our livestock. We work and live on site. If you would like to participate in feeding animals, planting trees or helping us prepare garden beds, we’d welcome the company. *Please note that we live off a dirt road that’s very bumpy and rural.

Post Ian we have built a new chicken coop and are proud to say our hens are laying fresh eggs again for our hipcampers to collect and enjoy! Property is shared by home owner, horses, additional Rv pad, and about a dozen chickens. Quiet and tranquil location. Mutual respect for privacy is required. Amazing campsite! Very secluded with excellent privacy. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us and our kids. The site was clean, well-maintained, and cozy, and our kids had a blast with all the campsite had to offer. Our kids love fishing, so this was an awesome spot for them. We also purchased the firewood add-on and were given plenty, which was much appreciated. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and look forward to coming back again.

My dog Marty and I had an awesome stay at Shell Creek—it’s truly a touch of old Florida! The campground sits right on a beautiful freshwater creek, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy nature. We stayed at Creekside Site B, which had a great view and plenty of shade.The hosts were fantastic—welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. It’s a place that feels genuine, quiet, and full of that classic Florida charm. I’ll definitely be recommending Shell Creek to friends, and Marty and I will be back for sure!

John's property is very nice. We had a great time with our family. The facilities were comfortable though we didn't take showers. We were able to get firewood from John each night for our fire. Our kids had a great time with the short hike to see a camel, Highland cattle and an alpaca that live on a neighbor's farm.

We really enjoyed our campsite! John was an excellent host -- checking in with us but also letting us do our own thing. We brought paddle boards and spent the entire day paddling Shell Creek and taking in the beauty of nature. The campsite was huge and very shady. It mentioned being sloped but that was really very, very tiny. We have a 13' Scamp and easily got it leveled. We will definitely return!

John and his family continually freshen up the property. For me the single camper, the hideaway and Creekside A are more private the other sites are closer to the common areas where families can watch their kids play while the adults watch from the tiki bar. The bathroom and shower are separated and very clean. There is a lot to look at throughout this property and lots of hiking trails nearby.
