Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven.
There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided)
Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars.
During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay.
We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam.
Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away!
Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat!
Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more.
It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

On the day of arrival, you will receive another message to refresh your knowledge of how to use the campervan.
Close to the beach and sand, the city offers activities nearby so you won't have to go far to enjoy them. This campervan has all the qualities of a house, with the only difference being that you're on wheels—something truly delightful. I have two bicycles so you can take a ride along the bike path on the beach and enjoy the majestic scenery. A different way to have fun and experience something new. We really appreciate the firepit, dishes, washing supplies, goats/chickens, and toilet/shower! The location in walking distance to Fahnestock is perfect! Good choice for low key outdoor weekend. If your looking for seclusion with quick river access, surprisingly good reception to listen to tunes on Bluetooth and a site where you barely have to bring anything as everything you’ll need or want is supplied and set up for you then you’ll find it as delightful as I did. We had a great stay! The tent setup was absolutely adorable and thoughtfully put together. It was definitely buggy during our visit, but we were grateful that extra bug spray was provided. The restroom facilities were a wonderful addition and were clean and well-maintained. The hill is no joke, but the listing describes it accurately, so we came prepared. One of the highlights was meeting Evan, Laura, and their beautuful goats and chickens. Overall, a unique and enjoyable experience!

Me, my fiancé and our dogs absolutely loved this place! Nancy and Bert were the best hosts! You could tell they truly love doing this and thought of every little detail you would need while being there! The property was perfect for the dogs to explore while we sat by the fire and relaxed, and they have such a nice trail to explore on, even a cute little fairy garden on it! We already can’t wait to come back!

Seriously great retreat . Trails were awesome . Nothing tops the hospitality from Bert and Nancy!! Overall one of the best glamping spots yet . The whole property seems like every square foot is cared for meticulously. Very well built cabin smells like they were just built yesterday and very ,very sturdy . Will absolutely be returning soon.

We really enjoyed camping on the farm! So many great experiences in a place that is so obviously well loved and taken care of! Our first stop was the farm store where we stocked up on farm raised steaks, nice big bundles of firewood and they even had a lighter (which we forgot). Even though it rained, the standing tent and the air mattress bunk beds kept us super dry and comfortable. It was like our own perfect country world! 10 out of 10 would recommend. David was great, super responsive and a wonderful host.

The kindness of Bert and Nancy second to none, how it rained for days but the forest sheltered us from getting wet. How beautiful peaceful and private the place was. The decor and work that went into making this place one of its kind. How Bert and Nancy provided us with everything one could want, need, or things we didn’t think of. Awesome site, lots of privacy! Convenient location with a stop and shop only 5 mins away if you need more supplies, however we still felt like we secluded from civilization when we were at the site. Wood was supplied free of charge. We left a day and a half early due to rain and Tiffany was kind enough to offer us a discounted rate for next time we come. Great host and great camp site!

Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'
This is a very beautiful campsite that is very accessible and a perfect experience for first time campers or anybody who just wants a relaxing getaway. There is a lovely trail up to the tent site, which is removed from the house and the road just enough to feel like you are out in the wild on your own. The tent itself is very comfortable filled with amenities. It’s like staying in a little hotel room. They have everything you need for camping. They even have a pretty fancy outhouse and shower situation. We didn’t get to visit the goats, but that was only because it was raining. I highly recommend this camping experience.!

Our experience at Heron on the Hill Glamping was incredible. The entire space is extremely charming, very well outfitted, and extremely welcoming. Activities abound! The host, Michelle, is extremely communicative, friendly, professional, and helpful both before our trip and during!
There's plenty to do for the entire family, the tents were cozy, and for all of the camping necessities, they're taken up many notches to facilitate a more comfortable camping-experience (heated shower? Flushing porta-potties? Where else do you get that, right?)
