Vista Tranquila, the name given to our property by its previous owners, has trails to meander, picnic tables, horseshoes, swings hanging from the trees, a competitive-level trampoline, benches with views, and hammocks. The communal food prep area has a gas grill, a table for food prep, and a seating area. We request that guests pack out all trash. Since we do not provide stoves, pans, utensils, or cleanup facilities, please bring paper towels to wipe off your stoves, pans, dishes, and utensils. A well-maintained portable flush toilet is provided in a tall tent near the main residence. A spigot can be found with fresh well water on the back side of the main residence. We do not offer showers. However, the Boulder Recreation Center (a 10-minute drive) offers showers and other facilities for a small fee. Weekend Trip to Hart Family Farm

We had such a wonderful greeting from Sara’s grazing sheep, her dog Yogi and her cat Salty. It took only minutes for my son to join her daughter on the family’s swing-set. We had intended to “glamp” somewhere close to Estes Park, and the Burro fit the bill! The tiny space heater made the camper cozy on the cold nights, and we had access to her walk-in basement restroom and shower (even if we opted not to shower because we like to “rough it” on camping trips). After a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, my 8-year-old could not wait to “get back to the farm”, and spend time with all the animals. Sara’s daughter Rose even treated my son to a riding lesson on a pony for a very reasonable price. We also enjoyed the nearby creek just at the back of her property and an excellent recommendation to a nearby park. Additional perk is that my little loved to pet the animals in the morning while I was getting breakfast or dinner ready. Always something to do at this beautiful location!

Staying at Burro on Sara’s property was amazing. Having opportunity for shower in the house and staying in the privacy of the backyard was a great combination for my wife and me. Camper was clean, just enough for two of us on a great location. Close to the main road, yet secluded. Short drive to the restaurants, grocery shops, coffee shops, bakery and trails. Sara was a great host and we would stay at her place again anytime. Excellent communication.

Beautiful camp site. Shawn was super helpful the entire time! We found a beautiful spot up a hill from the actual camp spot to hold my wedding ceremony! The sky was gorgeous and we have plenty of room to explore and be comfortable. My only complaint is the hill leading to the bridge was pretty steep. I would 100% come back! Thank you so much for the opportunity.

We really enjoyed our stay at Counterpath. The neighborhood was very cute and my husband and I took several walks. There is a coffee shop, breakfast place and a restaurant (I think it was South American cuisine...we did not have an opportunity to eat there, but it looked interesting!) within a couple of blocks. We picked zucchini and apples from the garden and enjoyed them. The location has a food pantry weekly, but it did not interfere with any of our plans. I never met Tim in person, but he was good at communicating via text/hipcamp messaging. I would stay there again.

Dot and Byron are so welcoming and very thorough with everything you need to know and what the site offers. The kids loved the games and hammock and wading pool and outdoor shower! Very easy and pleasant and restful stay. We'll be back 😁

Weekend Trip to Rocky Mountain Glamping

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shimza. The cart itself is beautiful woodwork, and made for a comfortable nest. The kitchen, similarly handcrafted, had everything we needed and nothing we didn't! And how amazing to have a hot shower available when camping. Everything seemed fresh and clean. Very pretty property and we greatly enjoyed floating on the creek as well. Will definitely return.
