We ask that you arrive before dark for ease of setting up your tent and finding the outhouse and outdoor shower area. Hosts are on or near the property (or within a mile). It is easy to get lost: DO NOT rely on GPS. Use the written directions in the listing to save you from getting lost. It is a goal to produce as little waste as possible on this property. Please avoid excessive plastic bottles. Pack in, pack out your trash and recycling. We will provide drinking water, and all other water is available at the campground. Please put up all food since we are in guests up here in bear, mountain lion and coyote country. No poisonous snakes or mosquitos (usually) up here at 8100 feet. There is all kinds of wildlife can be seen up here from time to time, and many varieties of birds, and also bats. If you're into camping by car, tent or tipi, this camp is for you. The Ranch has over 2 1/2 miles of private trout stream running through, for fly fishing. Available rentals include a large main cabin bedroom/bath, 2 bedroom bunkhouse and 3 private riverfront campsites. Free Firewood Learn more about this land: Located on a large working cattle ranch . Serenity is guaranteed at the bunkhouse in an Aspen Grove near the paddock with fire pit. It's a lovely private setting, but not far from the main cabin and the river. Shooters, you've found your spot. There are long and short gun ranges on the ranch. The 3 campsites are private and located directly on the river, each with its own fire pit and free firewood. Miles of hiking trails without leaving the property, and the National Forest is located 2 miles up the road for further adventures. Fly fishing for stocked rainbow trout on the premises! Seven separate reaches guarantee an exclusive expierience. Professional fishing guides are available by appointment. All inclusive fishing packages upon request.

Weekend Trip to PR Ranch - Fly Fishing

PR Ranch is nestled in a beautiful canyon with historic aspen groves and an absolutely ideal river for fly fishing. We stayed for 2 nights at the cabin and enjoyed the front porch, living room, and well equipped kitchen (including multiple outdoor grills). The team is very hospitable and truly adds to the overall experience. Couldn’t recommend this location more, we will be back soon! Cheers

The time house on Daryl and Cindy’s land was a perfect little home away from home! They were so warm and inviting, and made us feel very welcome (and wanted)! We loved feeling like we were out in the middle of nowhere but still having a comfortable place to call home base. We would love to come back here again.

Really nice well set up yurt. Great views and privacy. Comfortable beds. Has lights, heat, power, and some water provided. Has a camp stove but we had a problem getting it to light, so we used our own. The only issue was some barking from nearby dogs intermittently during the night that woke me up a few times, but obviously that's outside the owners control. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Yes, yes, and yes. This property, facilites, and beauty is unparalleled. Everything about this experience was awesome. I couldn’t get the heater started and Cheves was onsite within 15mins fixing it. I want nothing more than to come back.

The Rainbow connection is a well designed tiny home we purchased new in 2021 and put it out on our land. We love the simplicity of this tiny home.

A super cute place. The cabins were super clean and the wood stove got so hot! I got to pet some kitties and i saw chickens and there are laundry facilities which come in handy for travelers. There is a book in my cabin with history and a map and instructions. Very helpful, John was so inviting and kind. THANK YOU!!

Weekend Trip to Glamping RV on Llama Rescue Ranch

This RV is luxurious and the hosts are kind and sweet! Such a relaxing space, with every comfort you would want glamping. We had so much fun camping here! Would definitely recommend. You can tell how much effort these hosts put into their rental space, and it really was rejuvenating. The animals were lovely. My family had a blast. Will return again!

Weekend Trip to The Mushroom Yurt

Cheves's Yurt was about 30 mins north of Taos, make sure you make it down there for some tacos and art. Cheves has done a nice job of setting up this off-grid yurt. The outhouse is nice, he's got electricity (for charging and lights - but not for big electronics) and heat to keep you warm at night. Bring extra layers if coming in winter, but we loved our stay (obviously, this is off grid camping folks with a nice mattress), it was beautiful and affordable and comfortable. FYI there are free roaming dogs in the area - I would like to come back in the summer and use the outdoor shower! Cool place. There is a burner for coffee, but you do need to bring anything you want to cook. Thanks Cheves.

1 night at The Nomad Ranch

Pristine little cabin. The wood smells so nice, even in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and seating area. The host provided water and we appreciated the heater too. There is lighting in the cabin and outhouse. We both agreed it felt a little uncomfortable having no curtains on the windows, but the view of the mountain in the morning (perfectly framed in the window) was gorgeous. It was very windy the night we stayed and this did cause the outhouse door to open and close and rattle around throughout the night. Just needs an outdoor latch to keep it still. Overall, we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
