Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban . Camp anywhere on 60 acres. In one direction there are rolling meadow. Another rocky outcropping. Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line. If you want access to town you’re there. You choose how you want to feel. In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway). Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs, ten miles to Divide for grocers. One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc. It is first come first serve with the sites. Two that are near trees for large RVs. One up higher works for pull thru trailers. Plenty of room in the pasture. I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land. Some pictures are from late last summer.. We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up. Also it can be windy.

The hosts, Crystal, Abraham, and their dogs, reside on the property in a tiny 1960's cabin. They are happy to share with you the local eateries, bars, and favorite hiking places. Sunshine Mountain is a shared 7.5 acre property which includes the RV spot, a vacation rental and host’s home. Back portion of the property is a wooded hiking trail for all guests to enjoy. It is located in the historic Ute Pass region. The property was once owned by Ute Indians who later sold it, at which time it became a Hippie camp and later a family home/ranch. We can’t wait to meet you and help you have the true Colorado experience. You will love the country feel while being walking distance to Woodland Park and have the amenities of 50 amp electric, WiFi, water (not for drinking), picnic table, chairs, mini grill, hammock, gray water dump at site, propane fire pit (guests bring their own propane) and access to black water dump if needed. $15 black dump fee for bookings less than 1 week, otherwise 1 free black water dump per week. Perfect spot for the night. You’re literally in front of Red Rock Canyon, nice surprise to wake up to! Felt safe. There was a street light on all night, but didn’t bother us too much with blackout curtains. Would recommend.

Our second annual father/son camping trip was a huge success. We had the whole property to ourselves. Each year our favorite part is exploring the boulders at the top of the property. The dozen or so turkeys that wandered through the property was the icing on the cake!

We had a blast at Glen Isle. Everything from camping to fishing to disc golf everything was fantastic. Hosts were amazing and the campsite was private and riverside. A great close getaway and a few days in paradise. Cute horses and donkeys as well. Best campsite we have been to all year. It’s the total package!

It was a great place to sleep for the night. Definitely felt safe. I travel with my dog who is alert at every noise. I was aware of the tour busses on the weekends…apparently my dog was not. They were great! If you are a person who travels alone this is an awesome place to stay for a wonderful price. If we are coming through again I will absolutely pick this spot.

The bathroom facility was clean and was thoughtfully stocked. We even had a surprise visitor in the morning, a majestic buck exploring. We would love to come back again in the spring.

We had a fantastic experience there the weather was decent and a little bit cold at night if you stay down next to the river you should expect it to be about 10 to 15 degrees colder than the rest of the place because of the water. There were plenty of trees to hang your hammock on and plenty of space to put up a tent you could even go back into a more secluded area that was up against The Rock face back behind trees if you wanted. We had a great time we walked around we got a tour of the lodge which was really cool. And we went to the Sasquatch Outpost and Bailey as well several other places that were open it was really great time. We also went for a hike on the pain gulch trail which was very pretty very good views. I would highly recommend camping at this campground the only downside was the road traffic because of the highway right there could be a little loud at times but it didn't interfere with sleeping or anything else.

EXACTLY what we were looking for. So peaceful, quiet, and absolutely beautiful and clean. Weather was a little iffy while we were there. We were at campsite #4 - highly recommend. You can’t see any other campsites, there’s a trail with some beautiful scenery at the end, and you have soooo much space for all of your stuff! Read the instructions on how to get there three times over. It’s a little confusing, and the terrain is rough so I would make sure to bring some type of 4 wheel drive. We took my husbands truck, but my sedan wouldn’t have made it.

This site is absolutely stunning. Super secluded, no one near you, wide open with amazing views. Our dogs had a blast running around the site. Road is a bit bumpy getting in. Definitely arrive during daytime as you could miss the entrance. Because it is in the open, it can get a bit windy. Would definitely recommend this stay if you're looking for off grid seclusion.
