The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June. We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja. Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests. They all have great views and are very close to the town of Fruita. Every hipcampers can enjoy the beach and the pond between mid-May and October when its full. Swimming not recommended! The property is used by THE GONDOLA SHOP, which restores ski gondolas. Monday to Friday, you might hear some light noise and see employees walking around. For that reason and the potential hazard WE DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN on our property. We ask that all vehicles drive no faster than 10 miles per hour for the same reason. These cabins are very different in their own ways, they run on solar, but we do have a back up generator for emergency use! All our cabins have electricity! Hipcampers will be camping on a 10-acre property mixed-used and will have their own little piece of land and privacy to enjoy. They will find endless activities surrounding our property while enjoying their stay. There are miles of mountain and road bike trails easily accessed from the campsite. Rafting, golf, swimming, fishing, hiking, off-roading, dirt bike/ATV trails, Colorado National Monument, and the list goes on and on within a short distance. The campsites are just 2 minutes from downtown Fruita, offering easy access to good restaurants, great coffee shops a drink. You will find a grocery store, pharmacy, and gas station in the same area. To consider: Our place is great but not for everyone. We have three convenient sites, all with electricity and water and one with sewage. They all have great views and are very close to the town of Fruita. Every hipcampers can enjoy the beach and the pond between mid-May and October when its full. Swimming not recommended! The property is used by THE GONDOLA SHOP, which restores ski gondolas. Monday to Friday, you might hear some light noise and see employees walking around. For that reason and the potential hazard WE DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN on our property. We ask that all vehicles drive no faster than 10 miles per hour for the same reason. Grace is a sweet glamping option. The view from the breakfast table was lovely, the decor appealing and it was clean. It had everything we needed to make meals and wash dishes. The bed was comfortable. The furnace, electric stove and small heater for the bedroom made cool nights comfortable. Paonia is beautiful! The drive to Crested Butte from here is amazing!!! Karina was very communicative with clear instructions before our trip and was quick to respond to our requests. If you've never used a composting toilet before, it's an adjustment but it's a good option for glamping. The shower had hot water and enough pressure. I would stay here again.

George's property is absolutely stunning and the site offers everything you need! The tipi is quite charming and includes a foam mattress (bring your pillow and sleeping bag), a table and chairs, a mini cooler, a lantern, drinking water, flowers from his garden, and towels for the very nice bathhouse. The heated bathhouse is a short walk away with hot water. You'll be nestled in the trees with a front row view of the river, plenty of space between you and your neighbors. A 5-minute walk to Big B's Cider and a 3 min drive into Paonia town. George was a lovely host and this place is a gem! We will certainly be back!

If we could give this twenty stars we would. This is what we imagined 'HipCamp' would be when we joined. A lovely private site, amongst verdant peach orchards, in the shadow of massive Mesa'a. The site has excellent water and electric hookups, wood chips surround the trailer, a top of the range fire pit and table and chairs (plus free firewood) is provided. Sweet spot by the lake to camp for the night! We had a lovely campfire and appreciated the full set up ready to roll as we got in late and were tired from the drive!! It was a wonderful way to unwind and enjoy the night before getting a good sleep for our drive the next day. The next morning we had the place almost entirely to ourselves, and my dog especially loved exploring!
