Weekend Trip to Hope Acres Glampground

we had a great time on our stay and wish we had more time there! having a heater available was great. it's still pretty chilly at night. the hosts were awesome people and ready to help if needed. star gazing was amazing! close to starvation reservoir for fishing. also recommend taking the strawberry pinical scenic drive. we saw about 400 dear in the farm fields driving through, amazing cliff views, marmots on the cliff sides, and wild turkeys. great place to stay, great location. thank you! we'll be back again.

Really nice site and quiet. The pit toilet was super clean and nice to have at least some toilet for tent camping. The parking area was definitely big enough to have a small camper trailer.

Great place! Though when getting the coordinates, I had to do so through the hosts messages as the coordinates that you can share with other people are wrong so we actually went to a completely different location first. Still enjoyed the spot thoroughly but would recommend fixing those coordinates for future campers!

Everything and nothing. My gas leaked like hell and the heat went out. It’s on the 40 with a beautiful overlook over skinwalker ranch. Heat went out at ten. I woke up at 12 and went out for a smoke and saw my lights on in my car I was like godamn that crap was locked!!! Went turned it off and ran the car to charge the battery for twenty minutes. Damn right I brought my dog. My alarm for some reason went off at 505 and I woke up and my dog was frozen and shaking. She refused to get under the covers so I took her into my car. There were three of them. Talking about my dog. I laughed. I was in my car smoking heard a blow of one. Instantly rolled up my window. Then behind me my beautiful wiew. I say a glowing light get bright then go dim about twenty times. It was cool as hell. The things kept taking telling me to trust them. As soon as it was light. I cleaned and left quickly. I never turned off my vehicle. It was greatest experience ever I highly recommend staying in the Judah tent in February. Awesome night!!!

Weekend Trip to Hope Acres Glampground

We had such a great time! The campground was private but also very easy to find. The yurt was very cute and comfortable. Very clean and all equip worked perfectly. The caretaker is very nice and helpful. The owner is very communicative and professional, they gave very detailed instructions, making the trip very stress free. A perfect little slice of heaven that we see ourselves returning to over and over again!

The place was beautiful, and Mike was a great guy! He let us pick any place we wanted. The drive from the main road was a little rough so it took a while to get to, so we stayed put till checkout, but the place was worth it.

We are in the beginnings of our homestead journey and hope to create a space for guests like you to enjoy our animal rescue, camp retreats for groups, classes on herbalism and camp for kids where they can learn basic survival skills. It is this love for nature and the gifts that it offers to us all that we want to share our land with others. We currently offer 1 Tent Site with a fire pit and an outhouse. There is also a large flat pad for parking an RV or if you're wanting to camp out of your vehicle you are free to use this space. We will be expanding and offering more sites in the coming months. This is wilderness camping so be aware that there is wildlife and that roads are bumpy. We have 4 curious dogs that may check you out, they are friendly however may bark and if you have pets of your own let us know so we can keep them from pestering you. Newly installed is a rustic country style privacy fence. This is a no frills campsite where you will need to provide your own water, toilet and firewood (We can provide firewood for an extra fee). There is a rest stop with restrooms just down the road going east on hwy 40 if needed. Pack it in and pack it out.

Up above camp is a rock formation I have always called "Mike Rushmore". It's a hikers paradise with lots of rock features, sandy areas, tons of trees, wildlife and all the beautiful plant life of a high desert. The lake is close by for Fishing, kayaking, boating, or just a good ole swim about 10 minutes away. So, here is what you get on my 15 acres. Me, as your host to show you around and let you pick from several spots available where you would like to camp on the upper 5 acres for RV, truck, tent,, etc. I can accomidate whatever. For those that want the natural experience I suggest down below. So cool. There is no one right next to me to the north, south, east, or west. Very private. It is off grid..
