Although we showed up in the middle of the night and left in the morning, we stayed long enough to get a good impression. The estate is well taken care of and you may be greeted by a neighbor's horse! The ground was relatively flat, so much so we were accidentally level when we first stopped. We had a roof top tent and had no issues... Matt even waved at us for a conversation in the morning. Checking in on our stay, very courteous! We enjoyed having such a safe place to sleep.

the campsite was exactly as described and we loved the location! only a 15 min drive from the Mish, the portopotty was very clean, and the river was very close to our spot. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

So....
First off. Putting low stars beacuse of mosquitoes, for me is ridiculous...
Ok now... this place is absolutely amazing.... I have stayed 4 or 5 times now. Its VERY isolated and PRIVET!
River runs right by you. Yes bugs and mosquitoes, BUT not all the time. Just stayed 4 days and it was fine...
If you want to be close to nature, look no further. Calm. Gas station about 3 miles away. Iv gone with my electric scooter. Clean. Trash avaliable. Portapotry. No electricity. No water. In between hills BUT still get PLENTY of sun.
I LOVE this place, I cant say it enough...

My boyfriend and I picked this spot while in town for a concert at the Mishawaka Theater, and we were so glad we did. The location was beautiful—right by the water with amazing views—and it felt private and peaceful. We didn’t have cell service, but honestly, that was a bonus. It gave us a chance to unplug and really enjoy each other’s company.
The site was easy to find, and while there were some mosquitos (as expected), they weren’t a problem at all with a little bug spray and a Thermacell—we didn’t end up with any bites. You can hear some cars in the distance, but the sound never overpowered the peaceful setting.
All in all, the combination of the scenery, privacy, and convenience made it such a great stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Tucked away private campground right on the water; great view. The site was a great size, we’d love to come back with our kids! Only potential downfall was the proximity to the main road, you could hear/see the lights from cars driving by, but that’s not something we personally minded. Right outside Ft Collins, 25 minutes to Loveland, and an hour to Estes/Rocky Mountain National!

We loved this spot. Plenty of room to setup camp, park, prep and play. It was private and perfect for our family and pets. The port-o-pot was super clean. It actually smelled fresh. The river water is low and gentle, so perfect for families. Mosquitos were a plenty but the hosts had told us ahead of time so we were prepared. We will be back!

A nice place to prairie/farm camp. Very quiet. Wonderful hosts made sure we had what we needed (thanks for the fresh eggs!) Great views and we saw beautiful sunsets every evening. This is a good spot if you’re just passing through, or to use as a basecamp to check out Cheyenne and/or Laramie. As a reminder, this is prairie land, so bring your own shade!

Staying at Mountain View offered a wholly different experience from your average campsite. It offered the beauty of the animals - horses, dogs, chickens - all that you find on a working ranch. It offers, if you choose, the chance to observe and appreciate the morning routines of a life with animals, the feeding and tending, the necessary care. All through the comfort of your space. We sat under the trees enjoying the sun setting beyond the pastures. Pretty idyllic and unique.
We did have a one off experience. As we turned into the driveway of the property with our trailer another vehicle was coming towards us. It was a black truck with a young driver who didn’t realize she could back up and let us pass. Instead she drove off the driveway, over the lawn and around us. This, we understood, caused a leak on the property which required a crew to work on the property for the two days we were there. They were considerate fellows except that they unplugged the power to our trailer both days which caused complications for our refrigeration. It was unfortunate as otherwise this site is highly recommendable and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed the east of this spot. The river access was wonderful for fishing and for the dogs to swim and roam without bothering other campers. The site was great with lots of space for 3 tents and 3 SUVs. The porta potty was really clean and the dumper was emptied.
There was an old run down house on the campsite which scared the kids in our group a little—thinking it was haunted. I didn’t realize that was there. It ended up not being an issue, but was caught off guard by it. The mosquitos were terrible so be prepared, to be expected when you’re in the woods and near water!! We went through 5 cans of bug spray and still left with lots of bites. The highway was a little louder than we had expected so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the spot for you.
Overall, we had a really great time and our two year old had the best time on his first camping trip! The host and the information he provided was very clear and helpful. Ted’s place was stocked with everything we needed.

The location was right in front of the river and had some nice grass for us to set up two tents. The shade provided by the trees were perfect for the morning but did allow for a fair amount of mosquitos, so I highly recommend brining all the devices to keep mosquitoes away for a nice and calming by the river morning breakfast.
The host, Johnny was super responsive and kind, which really makes a nice experience when headed to an unknown location. You feel very supported.
The cabin is within eye shot at the Echo camp spot and I wish there was a little bit of info on it to appreciate it more. Knowing about its history, year built etc would have been nice.
