This is a shared cabin, as I live on the second floor, but you will have access to the entire place with your own private room. Long-term renters are preferred. Use of AWD/4x4 vehicles—or snow chains/socks during the winter season (Nov–Apr)—is highly recommended. Strict fire ban per city ordinance The Space Welcome to this beautiful 1957 log cabin built in the tungsten belt region, within Rollinsville town. This cozy 900 sq. ft. true log cabin sits on an acre of forested property. PLEASE NOTE: Since I am renovating and refurbishing the cabin, the interior may differ slightly from some of the photos. If curious, please ask for the most recent pictures—I’ll be happy to send them. Guest Access You will have access to the kitchen, living room, office area, shared bathroom (you’ll always have priority), as well as the beautiful acre of front and back yard, which includes a fire pit, basketball hoop, and a relaxing patio. During Your Stay I am mostly working and aim to give you as much space as you need, while being available if anything is needed. I enjoy conversing and getting to know guests, but you can always let me know how much interaction you would like or expect. Other Things to Note This is an incredible getaway near one of the best local ski resorts, Eldora. Stunning hiking and biking trails in Roosevelt National Forest, local breweries, restaurants, and bars make it perfect for all types of outdoor and foodie enthusiasts. Explore local small towns Rollinsville, Nederland, Wondervu. Bypass I70 ski traffic to access major resorts or X Country rec parks and amazing hikes. ~1 hour to RMNP, Georgetown Train, Ward. The space The house is located on an acre of land in Black Hawk, CO which is about an hour outside of Denver just past the Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes. Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music. Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere. Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge! Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns. Hiking + Cross Country Ski/Rec Areas - You have close access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, St Mary's Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park (~1-1.5 hours), 14ers. It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks. You will have access to the entire house. It’s two stories with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level and one bedroom/one bathroom on the second level. Other things to note Dirt roads lead to the property that require at a minimum an AWD or 4x4 vehicle. Pet fee must be added under "Extras".
