The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ and electricity. You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain.
Just a few steps away from your campsite you will find our bath house with a clean portable toilet, hot shower and hand sink. You also will find a fridge inside, where you can keep your refreshments and your food fresh and cool. It is entirely made from reclaimed materials and it adds glamor and luxury to your glamping experience! To minimize our environmental impact, we use a greywater system. The liquid soap provided is a diluted, biodegradable formula that nourishes our garden as it drains. While it may feel lighter than conventional soap, rest assured it's gentle on both your skin and the environment.
We do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your "glamping" experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you are afraid of bugs or occasional spiders this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. The bed is equipped with a heated mattress bed.

A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. There is a full kitchen with fridge, gas stove/oven and sink. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows.
The Property:
The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have two dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh.
In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier.
Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.

If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!
Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.

This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature!
Please note: This is a real treehouse!! Running water will be turned off from Nov-April (except for warm days and we can turn on for a short time). We will be sure you have plenty of potable water for drinking and using.

We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner.
Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park.
Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines.
We receive quite a lot of snow (Oct-May). We require that guests use AWD/4WD vehicles and winter tires to safely access our dome during snow months. Please check weather conditions and follow Colorado traction laws.

This forested and open meadow property is located on a seasonal creek 2 miles from the quaint mountain town of Nederland, Colorado.
A short drive to both Boulder and Denver the property is situated at 9000ft in the picturesque Front Range. Nederland has convenient access to skiing, mountain biking, hiking & camping, including many points of access to the Continental Divide.
The property is within walking distance of Boulder County Open Space and Indian Peaks Wilderness trails for endless biking and hiking adventures.
Sites are private and secluded. There is a camper, a quaint treehouse, and a tent site camp that can be rented separately or together for larger groups. Toilet, picnic table, and potable water all available onsite.
We have endless hiking, biking, and mountain fun activities onsite and nearby!

Our family and pup loved this location! The paddleboarding was so fun, the premium tent was perfect and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had a visit from a moose, and enjoyed the surrounding areas too! Highly recommend!

Loved staying at the Blue Bear! The views were great, facilities well taken care of and the bed was very comfortable.
Only suggestion is to bring one of those mini outlet bug traps/zappers for any bugs that slip past you when going in and out of the door, and possible another fan to help keep circulation constant, but overall it was a perfect stay!
For anyone who is coming to do some hiking or visiting some popular areas, it is worth noting that some of the locations (Brainard Lake, RMNP, and others) have timed/reservations required for entry. Just a thought when planning ahead, but there are still tons of other hikes and views to love and enjoy.

It was so quiet and peaceful. I'm used to the Midwest cacophony of insects and this was a lovely change of environment. Even with strong efforts to acclimate the week before, I still struggled mildly with low O2 and higher heart rate. Stay hydrated and listen to your body.

We all enjoyed the treehouse so much! There were activities for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, so no one was ever bored. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable, and the treehouse décor was absolutely adorable and thoughtfully designed.
The hosts had everything set up perfectly for movie nights, and we ended up having two during our stay—which the kids absolutely loved! The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed.
If you’re looking for a fun, unique, and memorable treehouse experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. We can’t wait to come back!

We had such an amazing stay. The site we stayed at was above and beyond our expectations! Not only did my kids get to explore close to camp but also they had things set up for the kids to do. We really enjoyed being outdoors without the hassle of setting up our own tent and camp site. The outdoor kitchen was my favorite and of course we loved the outdoor shower. We are already palling our next trip we really really enjoyed it.

Loved the location and ease for coming and going. The location is amazing, close to a lot of attractions and only 20 minutes from Red Rocks. My husband and I stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. Lauryn and Ian left a pamphlet of things to do, and places to eat. . The neighborhood was really quiet and there is a nice river walk right behind the camper. Definitely recommending to all my friends/family who need a place to stay while visiting Denver.

Dot and Byron were incredible hosts! They were welcoming, helpful, and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay. Their recommendations for hiking trails and local attractions were spot-on and made our trip even more memorable.
This was the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed to experience nature. The campground is exceptionally well maintained, and the facilities are spotless. It’s also the perfect location for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area.
What really made our stay special were Dot and Byron themselves. They are kind, down-to-earth people who truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home.
Without a doubt, this was the best Hipcamp experience we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!
