Our land is out away from all the noise and lights. You can see the milky way and the stars at night are amazing. then to have the view of the Sangre de Christo mountain range is amazing to enjoy. The surrounding valley has lots to offer from the quant little towns and coffee shops to the home style meals at the restaurants. and all the hot springs are amazing.
Your site is overlooking the Sangre de Christo mountain range. The land is Alpine desert with sagebrush and ground cactus and incredible star gazing. There are 2 great hiking trails within a couple miles. There are 3 hot springs within 30 minutes. The Great sand dunes national park is within 1hr. The San Luis valley offers, hiking, mountain biking, ATV trail, Horse back riding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, refuges for wildlife watching.
New for 2024, The flushable toilet and shower are now operational. The shower house is located in the center of the loop with sites 1,2,3 on the south side of the building. It has an on demand water heater, there is also a a flushable toilet located in the same space. An important note about the toilet, Do Not flush anything other than toilet paper please. DO NOT flush feminine hygiene products, napkins or hand wipes or anything other than toilet paper. These type of things plug and burn up the pump while pumping out the tank. This will cause the toilet to be unusable.

Owner will communicate with you to make sure this is a good fit before owner accepts the reservation. Allow time for that in the reservation process. On Holiday Weekends, only three day reservations will be accepted. Hipcampers under 21 years old are welcome only under adult supervision.
We recommend bringing your own towels and a flashlight since our lodging has an out side toilet. Please don't expect a flush toilet, we want to emphasize that we offer a porta potty.

This tiny off-grid cabin sits on our working homestead, where woods and a small creek edge the land. You’ll hear chickens/geese in the morning and may spot the mule and goats moving through their day.

Asha’s Retreat was lovely! I was pleasantly surprised how clean it was. My 13yr old and I have terrible allergies - thankfully this home was not even dusty.
We were hesitant about the outhouse, but very surprised how clean and unsmelly it was. Truly!
Cute & quaint - my 2 school age kids, brother and I enjoyed the cabin and outside areas (especially the hammock). The hosts responded quickly to inquiries and were great!

We were glad to be someplace quiet with our scaredy dog on the 4th. We didn't realize they would have linens / towels so nice surprise. Tried the restaurant once and was decent. Store was surprisingly well stocked. Thank you! Small space inside as expected - once we added a dog bed and a pack and play for the baby, we could just barely get in and out to our beds.

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Mountain Ranch
My spouse, two dogs, I stayed in the cabin closest to the bathrooms. Our stay was great! The large king bed is very comfortable, it reminded of my own bed, so that says a lot for comfort and good nights rest. We stayed for two nights. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as there were options for fresh hot food off the griddle made to order and other small breakfast treats on the side they offered (yogurt parfaits, bakery donuts, orange juice, and coffee with an array of creamers to your liking). I greatly appreciated the quiet hours enforced there, not once was there any disturbance. It was very peaceful. Biggest liking was the bathroom amenities and potable water availability! Rarely is it seen on any campground that bathrooms are so clean and water readily available. I know this is glamping, but you definitely get what you pay for and it was worth it. Just a few things to note - I thought there would be a picnic table at my cabin, but there was not unfortunately. I didn’t bring my camping table because I expected that, given it was provided in the description of the site. They did provide two patio chairs and a fire ring with endless free firewood on site. There’s a wonderful community tent area with games for kids and tables with chairs and a community grill. We didn’t use it but it was nice to know that was available. Bathrooms were stocked with items you would usually have at home, so that was very accommodating!

This very quaint and practical cabin is situated in a convenient and tranquil location for many Colorado summer tourist attractions, such as Pikes Peak, Leadville, Garden of the Gods, Paradise Cove, etc. The elevation of 8500 feet is conducive to acclimatization so the high-altitude destinations can be enjoyed. This little slice of heaven in the woods is a gem. Quiet, serene and peaceful, we really enjoyed our time here. Equipped nicely, fresh linens and towels and all. The loft sleeping place was just what we needed after days filled with hiking. Kitchen was perfect for making our meals. We loved this place and plan to be back.

We stayed in the “Electric Cabin”. It was charming and cozy. The staff at A-Lodge was great and very accommodating. The bathhouse was nice. If I had to give one negative, it’s that the bathhouse was a bit far away from the cabins. It would be nice to have at least a restroom closer to the cabins, especially for the middle of the night.

Beautiful spot right on the water! Definitely rustic but a great value for the price and had everything we needed. The owners were very nice! Great privacy for Pioneer Cabin 2. Kids enjoyed walking across the swinging bridge. Beautiful moonlit sky to enjoy the evenings. If you're fussy about linens or cush pillows, bring your own. We were there during a heat wave in late March and it was quite warm in the cabin. The oscillating fan was a lifesaver but it doesn't hit one corner of the beds. If it's peak summer, you may wanna throw in a second one. The coffee pot is a nice touch and fridge and microwave too! Made for a low maintenance quick getaway from the city and a short, scenic drive to Salida. Crucial that it was pet friendly as we love being able to bring our doggos. Would definitely come back. This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway! So quaint and adorable. Great fishing nearby at 11 Mile and Twin Lakes. The cabin was perfect for the dogs - nice backyard and there were even some treats for them!
