Weekend Trip to Taos Goji Farm & Eco Lodge
We stayed in the Huxley cabin and really enjoyed it. It's quiet and relaxing. And, the stars at night were amazing! We are already talking about staying again soon.

Group trip
We stayed at one of Duc's duplex's. It was a great launch point for our backpacking trip and also a great stay over after the backpacking. Duc and Erikah are nice people that make sure you have a nice stay. The setting is beautiful--you can walk right down to the Pecos River and might even be escorted by their friendly, lovable Great Pyranees dogs --Luna and Max. Have fun!

This place is gorgeous! Harvey is an incredible host with many stories to tell. He made a consistent effort to make me comfortable and recommended local hiking spots to check out. It’s right by Abiquiu lake which has a gorgeous swimming beach, too. There’s basically no light pollution so the view of the sky at night is amazing!! I can’t wait to stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Abiquiu Tiny House
I enjoyed staying at Harvey's place. It was a nice spot to jump off and explore the area. All of the things one would need are here. The weather was a bit brisk at night, so having a cozy place to sleep was nice. Cooking facilities are more than adequate, as is everything else. I was solo for this trip, but a couple would have plenty of room to stay here and enjoy. Harvey gave me exact directions two days before my arrival and was available to answer any questions. Spot was quiet and not too far from places I chose nearby to go on adventures. Hope to return soon. Thanks, Harvey, for your hospitality.

Weekend Trip to Abiquiu Tiny House
The Tiny House was absolutely perfect. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. In fact, it’s not so tiny at all, and Harvey thoughtfully built it himself!
This place is an ideal location for all things that Abiquiu and nearby towns have to offer. We did several long hikes around the area and loved coming back to this peaceful abode.
Harvey is a phenomenal host, and we are already looking forward to visiting again! Thank you, Harvey, for the best stay in NM.

The tiny house at Harvey's spot had more homey comforts than I anticipated! It was a truly beautiful place, located perfectly to be an excellent jumping off point to explore the area. Weekend Trip to Taos Goji Farm & Eco Lodge
The Taos Goji property truly makes this Hipcamp worth it. There are several community spaces, including two soaking tubs and a sauna, which made our trip. The cabin itself was just enough for comfort. My partner and I were able to cook a meal, though we would recommend bringing your own spices, and enjoyed a cozy evening of soaking in the hot tub and hot veggies. The space is heated through several different elements, and the caretaker was quick to assist us when we got cold. In general, the investment for the duplex cabin seems steep, but if you are able to take time out of your travels to enjoy the property and it's amenities, it quickly holds generous value.

The tiny house is not actually that Tiny! It was a wonderful place to stay and made for an excellent home base for exploring the area. In ten minutes you can be in the Carson national forest. In twenty minutes you can be in the Santa Fe national forest. Harvey is a wonderful host, he’s kind, responsive and very nice to talk to. The home is very private with excellent views of Sierra Negra in the morning and incredible views of the sky at night. I would absolutely return.

Overview
With its relatively dry climate, Taos is a great place for a vacation no matter the season, and cabin rentals help make the case. Winters can get chilly at night with sub-freezing temperatures, while summers can be hot, but the lack of humidity keeps things from feeling extreme. While spring and fall are great for camping, the summer and winter months are more conducive to cabin stays, particularly if you can find yourself a spot with heating and air-conditioning. While there's not much in terms of cabin rentals at nearby state parks or in Taos' surrounding Carson National Forest, plenty of private options range from camping and cabin resorts to private Hipcamps. Most are located in surrounding communities rather than in Taos itself, ideal for campers who want to be out in nature but still have easy access to the Taos Pueblo.
