There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the popular public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not. We have 2 SUP boards, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces. ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed. Dogs are allowed and we do have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's. Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is some small firewood onsite, and if you need more you can purchase nearby at Almanor Landscape Supply or bring your own. The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! The ground is primarily decomposed granite so mud never becomes a problem. Wind can be strong when weather systems approach. The campsites are very basic with no toilet facilities (at this time) but water is available for cooking and washing dishes. An outdoor enclosed shower is available as well. At this time (summer) the water is naturally warm from the pipe’s exposure to the sun and hot water from a flash heater will be available in the near future. Tents can be erected almost anywhere on the property, but campfires are strictly prohibited until the rainy/cold season. Water and an electric hookup is available next to the barn for RVs and travel trailers at an additional cost. Sewer service is not available. There is also an older but nice three-bedroom, one bath home that is also available for short term rentals. It is heated during the winter by two wood burning stoves and cooled comfortably during the summer with a swamp cooler. The rent for this house is based on the season, ranging from $169-$229 nightly plus extra fees for pets or more than three people. Visitors of the past have found hiking, looking for artifacts and rocks to be fun activities. It’s also been an amazing place for stargazing and using telescopes. Others simply enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the peace, quiet and views. High quality campfire wood is available for $12.00 a bundle.

Weekend Trip to Mill Creek Resort

Mill Creek Resort is magical! This is the perfect location for exploring Lassen National Park or just being. The grounds are lovely and Mill Creek runs along the edge of the property. I stayed in an rv spot and those sites are close together, but I didn’t mind and I appreciated the convenience of having water, power and sewer hook ups. There was a small creek running behind the rvs, which is nice sound to fall asleep to. Nice people there and a really great vibe. I will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough good things about this campsite. Privacy, space, views, cleanliness, a responsive and kind host…it really checks all the boxes. Our family can’t wait to book this spot again. The only downside might be the noise from the road, we are easy going and it didn’t phase us but if you’re someone who can’t handle a little road noise then this would probably bug you, to us it was well worth the incredible benefits the site provided. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Gary's direction to the farm were simply & exact. He has 4 camp sites, each with extensive & beautiful views over the Sierra Valley. He was very helpful and informative about the area. We were there for the last of the Farmers Markets. Great produce & ready to eat foods available. We had purchased tickets to the Sunday brunch as well - delicious & extensive menu. We couldn't stop eating. It was well worth it!

Lynne was a fantastic host! On night one we had a mishap with our air mattress and she met us at her shop to fill it up and even loaded us up with free fire wood! She is an amazing lady!as for the campsite it self it was gorgeous and very secluded. You can hear the traffic but I was able to tune it out. I’d say the only downside was all the rocks my pups had a hard time walking on them to get to the water being they are all over 10 it was rough, I just wish there was more dirt, but hey if that’s the only downside I’ll take it. This place was near perfect. The porta potty was spotless when we got there and the campsite was very well kept! The sunset was phenomenal and we even had a few thunderstorms in the distance and that was a great sight! And again Lynne was the best host I’ve ever had! 10 out of 10 would go again.

Just returned from an incredible stay at the Welsh Grizzly Campsite, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, and the attention to detail that makes this place truly special. The site is beautifully maintained, with spacious pitches and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We opted for the back in site and everything felt thoughtfully laid out and well cared for. What really sets Welsh Grizzly apart is the atmosphere — relaxed, friendly, and perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to disconnect and soak up some nature. We loved exploring the nearby trails and coming back to a peaceful evening under the stars. Can’t wait to return — this place is an absolute gem!

Weekend Trip to Ayers Creek Retreat

Kari was absolutely awesome, extremely hospitable, and was always available for anything we needed. She gave great recommendations, and even let us borrow her can opener! :) The space itself was really great. Lots of room for parking, nice, large flat areas for tents (bring a tarp, though, because it is mostly gravel), chairs and picnic table, a cool little setup underneath some aspens and pines. Pop-up toilet situation was easy to work with. Really nice to have access to potable water and firewood. The BARn was freakin' epic! It was so fun to spend a day at Lake Davis kayaking and swimming, then coming back and roasting up some dinner on the provided fire pit (so awesome!) and hanging out in the converted mini-barn. It had fun lighting, speakers, a cool bar-style island, couches, etc... Having access to the wilderness and then what felt like our own private little pub back at our campsite? Epic. My only *heads up* would be that the site itself isn't what I would consider remote. It is super conveniently located, especially with regard to the lake, but it is also part of a larger property, so you do share a driveway with the host's house as well as her tenant's space. It's not bad by any means, but it also isn't a private campsite deep in the woods, so, if you are looking for that type of remote privacy, just keep this in mind. I went with 4 of my friends for a little bachelor getaway and, ultimately, it rocked. Highly recommend.
