My dad bought the farm in 1979 and it used to be a working dairy and sheep farm. My dad passed away while cutting our 6 acre oat field on mothers day 2003, our little farm started to break down. We have been working on it to bring it back to life and I hope to have it up and running strong again. Sadly I just lost my mother on Aug 6th and my father Aug 13th then my stepdad Jan 18th Alot of loss but hopefully I can have a garden soon to offer more options for our guests. Learn more about this land: Our farm is 3 miles west of town within 10 miles to Black Butte lake for fishing, boating, hiking, and even disk golf. Right off of I-5 by a Pilot travel center and Maverick. 4496 county road DD and also shows as Orange grove ave. on some GPS maps. Public pool 3miles(1pm-5pm, water arobics Tue and Thur 6-7pm $2, family night Tue and Thur 730-9pm June-Aug) as well as shopping and dining within 3miles. Great sunset and area to roam for a bike ride or walk in the country in our little hick town with only about 8000 population. It is very likely you will hear animals so if your a light sleeper you may want ear plugs. Chickens crow and roam, cows bellow from all sides, goats beller and roam, and dogs bark and welcome guests. No trespassing signs are for hunters and people that DO NOT have permission to be here. Driveway is rough and we are working on getting it smoothes out asap so please take your time coming up. There is FIELD roaches you may see soon after we irrigate, they are bigger then the nasty cockroach but harmless. The wind can be rough at times up here on our lil hill so be prepared with extra rope to tie down and secure if your in a tent, also park vehicle to help block from wind and driveway. It does get up into the high 100°s here during the summer so it would be good to have shade or plan to keep cool during the hottest parts of the day. The toilet is a outhouse with bucket and bag inserted, there is shavings to drop when done. Solar lights outside and 1 inside. I plan to upgrade and have shower bag thats heated from sun. Longer stays are best done at sites 4 and 5 further from the driveway. Quick stops just to sleep are best at 1 and 2. Rainy weather only sites 5, 6 and 1 are usable sadly.

For 70 years the Nelson family has been farming vineyards and attracting people every year to the beautiful region of Hopland. It is truly a family affair as each generation has put in their time and energy, infusing this ranch with their own flair. The host was friendly, knowledgeable about the medicinal uses of plants, good natured, and very welcoming. We learned a lot and she gave excellent recommendations for local experiences including Harbin Hotsprings and Beaver Creek Tasting Room - both must visits!! We had a romantic and relaxing getaway thanks to Brenda and her land. We would definitely recommend the farm breakfast for a nice start to your morning with fresh tea, garden veggies, and socializing. If you’re someone who likes to learn definitely take her herb walk! You’ll learn lots about plant medicine and native species. Thanks Brenda for the perfect visit!

Kristie's Farm was very quaint, it had all the farm animals! I was able to pet and feed a horse, the dogs were super friendly, there were ducks and chickens and little goats. They're not in your way and they don't bother you they're off to the side. You can see them if you like I thought it was really nice you're backed up into a field that has nothing it's beautiful it's very quiet out there! The only thing I would like to bring to anybody's attention it is very close to the person's home not that they're out there bugging anybody, no. Kristy was very quick to address any situations. They have a fire pit but they have it where you can put it inside this container which is nice, they have big benches and they have a outhouse! LOL very clean.

This place was absolutely fantastic! The drive in is a long "just keep swimming" ordeal, but once you get there, you've arrived at a cute little quiet tranquil rest stop in the forest. The bathhouse has a nice tub, hot shower, and hot sauna, it's clean and comfortable. Some campsites are close to others, and some a bit more remote and pulled back. Clean communal kitchen with stove, cookware, utensils, etc. Owners are very nice, and there's even a cute map of the property. Totally worth it. I'd recommend at least two nights as there's so much to explore and do here!

Weekend Trip to Glynraven Gardens

Lovely spot up a small hill that has beautiful views of the valley. About 15 minutes from Hopland, off of a turn that can be a bit easy to miss in the dark, though we found it with the address given in google maps. We stayed at the Airstream spot. The Airstream itself has a big and pretty comfortable bed, a roof heater for inside, some seating and some shelving. The outside has a very cool mural piece. Only strange thing is there were no curtains. The spot has the Airstream stepping out onto a big deck that faces the valley. You get a gas grill and plenty of seating with a light that lights up the whole deck at night. There is also a fully built out compost toilet a few steps off the deck that was always stocked and comfortable. Wifi is on site, no password, and plenty fast. The property is above the fog line so at night turn off the lights and you get great stars and it's also very quiet albeit you can hear the road, but it's an engine running in the distance, not a noisy freeway. Extras Clark was VERY responsive through the app. There were a couple of things that came up ahead of our stay and he was messaging us making sure we were good, and gave us plenty of make up offers that were well above the issue but of course appreciated. There is a pool and hot tub with beautiful views We were greeted by a flock of peacocks one morning. There are also a couple cats running around. We met one that was a total ham. We went in January, it was a bit chilly, no bugs

What an absolutely magical Christmas getaway! From the moment we arrived, Euni's warm welcome set the tone for our entire stay. You could tell immediately that this place is truly a labor of love. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, Euni clearly put so much care and thought into every detail. The Christmas tree was stunning and made the whole house feel like something out of a storybook. While the weather outside was honestly terrible, rain and wind howling through those gorgeous old olive trees, inside we were wrapped in complete coziness. We'd curl up, watch the storm through the windows, and feel so grateful to be tucked away in this little haven. It was the perfect Christmas hideout for me and my girlfriend. The rustic charm, the peaceful surroundings, the sense of being somewhere truly special, we didn't want to leave. There's something rare about a place that feels this thoughtfully cared for, and you can sense the history and love in every corner. We can't recommend Trees of Heaven enough. If you're looking for a cozy escape where you'll feel genuinely welcomed, this is it. Thank you, Euni (and your husband), for making our Christmas so memorable.

We loved Marek's tiny house, where we spent a beautiful December weekend. He and his dog Ceviche were wonderful hosts. Our own dog loved roaming around the large ranch, together with Ceviche, and we also enjoyed walking around the vineyards. Two incredible wineries, Wild Diamond and 6-sigma are very close by. We enjoyed tasting wine at both, and the views from the Wild Diamond tasting rooms is amazing.

Definitely recommend a 4x4 vehicle to get to the property. Have your directions downloaded before you pass the high school. Our Subaru was up for the task! The property is gorgeous and very secluded. We brought our 8 year old boy and dog. We were super lucky to have the entire camp site to ourselves the entire weekend. The temperature at night was almost freezing, so the sauna and shower made it much more tolerable. The sauna was by far the highlight of the trip for me besides being with my family unplugged! Epic stargazing at the point camp site. Having a kitchen to make a full meal for each meal was a luxury. The kitchen has everything you need to cook minus ingredients. Bring your own oil/spices etc. Also, pack out what you pack in. Meaning, there isn’t a garbage facility/ site dumpster. Also, there is really only 1 running toilet that we could find by the kitchen. I could see this being annoying in a large group setting, although having a toilet at all is a luxury when camping. If you’re a BBQ enthusiast, bring your own grill, there isn’t one to use on the property. Make sure to bring tick repellant/ check yourselves (especially dogs) regularly. We pulled a dozen off our dog and bodies. Highly recommend this spot for a weekend getaway! We loved it and will certainly be back, as a couple, as a family and with friends for sure!!
