Peaceful and private RV camping under the oaks with picnic table, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. We currently have two sites on our property. They are about 300 feet apart and not easily visible from each other. Property is fully fenced; both sites are next to an open field under the oaks with vineyard, olive orchard and mountain views. This property is 30 miles from Paso Robles and almost perfectly centered between Missions San Antonio and San Miguel. Lakes San Antonio and Nacimiento are close by. Coastal towns of Cayucos and Morro Bay are about an hour scenic drive, passing many wineries along the way. There is space for multiple RVs or additional tents sharing your party's RV restroom facilities. Site one will accommodate sixteen people and multiple vehicles. Site two will accommodate ten people and two vehicles. For larger groups we ask that that you book both sites. We have hosted many family reunions and the feedback has been 100% positive. One trailer is sleeping quarters with a mini kitchenette and the other trailer is a full bathroom with shower. The spaces are small and cozy. The views are epic. Overlooking the majestic Paso Robles valley with vineyards with world class views, the spacious deck is the place to be for sunset.
The Tiny House:
A Fairy tale cottage style wooden tiny home built in the 1980's with a bottle wall, full bath, and reading nook. This three story wonder will leave you inspired to step into your own story. Fully equipped with a small kitchen, queen bed, reading nook and two beautiful outdoor decks, you'll feel like you stepped into another world.
The Main Bungalow is a 1970's GEM, built by a movie industry icon with views of the valley through the stunning and huge five windows overlooking the Salinas River. Two bedrooms downstairs and two full baths, accompany a well appointed kitchen. The upstairs loft accommodates two additional semi private queen beds, and additional seating area. Sunrises from the bedrooms are rivaled by few.

FALL DISCLOSURE:
Two nights of harvesting will happen between late September and late October, but unlikely disturb your stay (though we cannot not guarantee as we are an operating vineyard). It's kinda cool to watch if you happen to be here during our harvesting of wine grapes. If desired, contact us a few days before your scheduled stay to get the harvesting schedule.
Our tasting room is currently closed for daily tasting, the upper buildings on the property may be rented out for private parties and overnight stays. These buildings are approximately 300 yards from the hip camp location and are not in direct few of our Hip Camp site.
If you are interested in renting out the upper buildings, please inquire with host.
WINERIES
As of now Central Coast wineries are requiring tasting appointments by reservation under California law as of 2020. Weekend reservations are highly recommended. Weekday reservations can usually be made day of.

Lots of vineyards to go wine tasting to that were a short drive away. Brought some twinkle lights with us that we put up to add more lighting and a special feel."

We have partnered with Forever Protected Equine, a non- profit to support the retired working horses on to our pastures wear they can live a natural equine life with friends. This is a critical time for horses well being and safety. Instead of an uncertain future or slaughter they come here to be gently cared for until their sunset day.

A beautiful spot in a vineyard with peaceful rolling hills with tons of privacy in Paso Robles Wine Country. We offer a level spot beside a barn surrounded by apple trees and acres of vineyard. There is a small fire pit. A perfect location for outdoor activities and wine tasting around Paso Robles Wine Country, secluded and surrounded by nature. Live working vineyard, may experience vineyard operations from time to time.
FALL DISCLOSURE:
Two nights of harvesting will happen between late September and late October, but unlikely disturb your stay (though we cannot not guarantee as we are an operating vineyard). It's kinda cool to watch if you happen to be here during our harvesting of wine grapes. If desired, contact us a few days before your scheduled stay to get the harvesting schedule.
Our tasting room is currently closed for daily tasting, the upper buildings on the property may be rented out for private parties and overnight stays. These buildings are approximately 300 yards from the hip camp location and are not in direct few of our Hip Camp site.
If you are interested in renting out the upper buildings, please inquire with host.
WINERIES
As of now Central Coast wineries are requiring tasting appointments by reservation under California law as of 2020. Weekend reservations are highly recommended. Weekday reservations can usually be made day of.

Guests love staying here: "Wonderful stay! It was very private as we were the only ones on the site, no other campers, vehicles or other people were in our area at all the entire time. It really felt that we had space to settle and enjoy. The two dogs that live on site were a wonderful greeting and farewell crew! The portable toilet was clean and conveniently located on the site. Lots of vineyards to go wine tasting to that were a short drive away. Brought some twinkle lights with us that we put up to add more lighting and a special feel."

The ranch has enormous views, peaceful quiet grounds, therapy assiting animals to snuggle with and of course close proximity to the local vineyard faire. We provide a nice level parking pad with firepit ring, big views of the rolling hills and a short walk to the barnyard. Nights are full of sparkling stars and the big milky way and be seen on clear moonless nights. Bird watching is amazing here too. Our animals include; micro mini cows, minature silky fainting goats, mini horses, mini donkey, mini Kunekune pigs, mini roosters, horses and a pack of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet. We have partnered with Forever Protected Equine, a non- profit to support the retired working horses on to our pastures wear they can live a natural equine life with friends. This is a critical time for horses well being and safety. Instead of an uncertain future or slaughter they come here to be gently cared for until their sunset day.

We loved staying with Ken and Judi! The site was beautiful, the views were amazing, they have included everything you could need and more you didn't realize you would want. They make arriving, setup and staying so simple. It is centrally located to so many great places to visit; SLO, Pismo, and Avila beach. I will make note that there is a small airport nearby that you will occasionally hear the planes as they take off. We definitely plan to return!

We booked several hours before our actual stay and Karina was very responsive to our request. The directions were clear and well communicated. Karina checked on us throughout our stay. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed a quiet arrival and morning sitting in the sun overlooking the views of the Pacific and SLO. We would highly recommend staying at Karina and Chris’s. The land was magical. Such a sweet little Canyon right off Highway one. Stayed in the Redwood. Gazebo a short hike up a steep hill. The views at night with the moon and the stars over the ocean were amazing. Rustic and scrappy property, but all about the land really.

Went here with my girlfriend for my birthday and stayed at Roadrunner Ridge. It was so refreshing to be constantly met with amazing views and such peace and quiet. 10/10 would recommend for anyone thinking of taking this trip. We really enjoyed staying at this property and would recommend it. The access to a hot shower was very nice! We really enjoyed this campsite as it was tucked away from the road, so there was privacy. Karina and Chris are amazing hosts. They checked in with us to provide all necessary details about staying on the property. There was also a storm that came in during our stay and they reached out to us to keep us informed and ensure that we made the proper arrangements at our site to stay safe through our stay.

Met some cool people staying in the trailers. My wife and had an RV rental and dry camped on the opposite side of the loop.

The best camping near San Simeon with campfires guide
When to go
While winter rainstorms occasionally batter the coastline, it can be a quieter time of year to visit the region. Between October and February, monarch butterfly populations overwinter at San Simeon Natural Preserve, as well as groves in Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. Elephant seals may be observed throughout the year, but you’ll see the biggest populations come ashore during late January, April, and October. State parks campgrounds fill up quickly in summer months, especially on weekends and holidays, so reserve early.
Know before you go
- Cambria is your go-to town for gas stations, grocery stores, cafes, and craft beer.
- Dogs must typically be leashed in campgrounds. They are prohibited on most beaches and trails except on W.R. Hearst Beach and some boardwalks.
- A portion of the 3.3-mile trail that runs along the San Simeon Natural Preserve is wheelchair accessible.
- Rookery viewing areas are open to the public year-round and are wheelchair accessible. No reservations or fees are required.
- Harbor seals and other marine life can also be spotted from the Elephant Seal Boardwalk in Hearst San Simeon State Park.
