Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. We have 2 full outdoor bathrooms, one was most recently added at our Elderberry Camp Site (site 1), and is also close to site 4 our Oaks Campsite as well. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

"If you got the sight, we got the views." Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer.
You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights.
There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well.
At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls!
We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process.
There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. There is a propane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. included in the cost.

The stovetop, microwave and oven make meals a cinch, though restaurant options abound. Kitchen boasts a large sink and regular faucet to make life easier. Pantry and storage throughout ensure you’ll have room to make yourself at home. Has full slide-out, awning, indoor and outdoor speakers, Bluetooth music setup, tv, dvd (and selection of DVDs), games and cards, small camp bbq (with 2 small propane cannisters), and more.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. "If you got the sight, we got the views." Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process.
There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. There is a propane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. included in the cost.

Robin's Nest is a 5-acre rescue ranch for creatures, large & small. Currently, we're home to 2 chihuahuas, 2 Australian Cattle Dogs (Lily, Alberto, Julio - aka Formerly known as The Three Chimigos and Oakley & Eddie the blue heelers), 4 pot belly pigs (Michael, Falkor, Meg, & Ayla - aka The Three Little Pigs +1), a mini horse (Phinneas), a mini donkey (Donkey), and a Buckskin Quarter Horse (Tivio), two lambs (Dolly & Reba), and 4 alpacas (Fern, Woodrow, Gandalf, & Gus). We have a lot of flat, usable space, but we also have some impressive boulders, hidden nooks and crannies to explore, and beautiful, mature trees. It's our little slice of heaven!

Join the royal court and stay in our 1975 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht! Immerse yourself in a budding rescue ranch with pot belly pigs, mini horse, and mini donkey, or take a romp on our 5 acres with lots of hidden gems to discover, or explore the many hiking trails nearby (Mt. Woodson, Potato Chip Rock, Iron Mountain). You also have access to a relaxing hot tub/jacuzzi & brand new 300sf deck.
The Airstream has one King bed with a super comfy mattress and the dinette turns in to an additional King sleeping space.
If you want a true immersive, farm experience, ask about our add-on experiences including grooming the animals, helping at feed time, and cleaning their pens! There's plenty of great space to ride your bikes, and it's proven to be a hit with the kiddos!
The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up!
Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on).
**WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. Please ask if you have questions?!

Glamping at it's best - all you have to do is show up! Bring the family to enjoy this barely used two bedroom spacious trailer. We love this trailer and know you will too! Make this your destination vacation, or as a base camp for exploring. Easy access to I-5 freeway, only 5 - 8 minutes away.
Our space is private and just off the beaten path, with plenty of parking.
One of our favorite features of this trailer layout is the door to the kids room, and the double-doors to the master bedroom on the opposite end of the trailer. This allows for space to plan the next day's adventures, get some remote work done, catch up on your favorite shows, and be together glamping while also having a little space apart from the kids :) Strong wifi available for use,
Bunk room is equipped with dual bunk beds (a total of 4 twins). In addition, the couch folds out and the dinette folds down, revealing two additional full-sized sleeping options. Stocked with everything and the kitchen sink, glamping has never been so easy! Fully outfitted kitchen with dishes, silverware, kitchen utensils, cookware, serving bowls, French press and pour over coffee maker (and filters), linens for kitchen, bathroom, and bedding (please specify # of beds being used). The stovetop, microwave and oven make meals a cinch, though restaurant options abound. Kitchen boasts a large sink and regular faucet to make life easier. Pantry and storage throughout ensure you’ll have room to make yourself at home. Has full slide-out, awning, indoor and outdoor speakers, Bluetooth music setup, tv, dvd (and selection of DVDs), games and cards, small camp bbq (with 2 small propane cannisters), and more.
Our goal is to provide an easy to access location in Orange County for families to relax, play, and adventure. Life’s too short not to start making memories!

We enjoyed our time in the Victory tent for my dog's 5th birthday. The hosts Lance and Daniel were attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Daniel even stopped by with guava and oranges from their property and gave my dog a ball as a little birthday gift. It was a wonderful weekend. Thank you!

Group trip
We reserved both Breakthrough and Bodhi Tree together due to our group size, and it worked out perfectly. The sites were close enough to feel like we were together and have meals together but separated enough to give a little privacy. The tents were spacious and comfortable, and there was enough open space that those who wanted to cowboy camp under the stars had room to do so. Although people usually complain about port-o-potties, the one shared by these two sites was spotless and well stocked with toilet paper.
The camp host was superb. He came back multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, to give us a description of where we could walk, to lend us items that we forgot to pack. He even offered to guide in a late-arriving guest so they would not get lost in the dark.
The kids loved the campsite dogs who came to protect us and hang out. They, and the neighboring dogs had much to bark about at night, so pack your earplugs. But we did feel safe with them around.
As far as driving, it can be done with a regular car, though on a rainy day I would only want to try it with an all-wheel-drive with some clearance. We had a dry day. The GPS gets close. The host sent us a message to wait at a particular sign so they could guide us to the site, but we missed that sign and drove in ourselves. The last part was a bit confusing. Most of us made it directly, but a couple guests got lost. If you can, read the signs well and contact the host for help.
It was a great stay!

The airstream is really well equipped, the shiwer is nice and warm and the place is well maintained. The host is very quick to respond and we had a great experience. We roasted marshmallows with our two kids and had a good tine around the fire. The only thing that I regret is not being able to get close to the donkey, poney and horse. The sheep enclosure was also too far to pet the animals. We could unfortunately not afford the $60 to help feed animals or get close to them.

Beautiful spot, well maintained, and great amenities. Kitchen was practically professional grade and really did have everything you could want/need. Lots of hot water in bathrooms (which was great in December). Hilltop yurt was spacious and clean and the tempurpedic mattresses and down comforter were perfect on those cold rainy days. And the fact it was set on a covered platform really protected us from the worst of the wind and rain.

We absolutely loved staying at Campo Napolito. We stayed in the Eureka Casita which is very nice, spacious, and has a lovely minimal interior. The front porch and fire pit out front are amazing. We could have sat out there with our dogs for days. A big star of this property is the kitchen. It is very well equipped with just about anything you could ask for. When we were there, it really felt like a community with everyone gathering in the kitchen and easily sharing the space to cook at the same time. The communal seating areas are also very well done.
Jacob was an incredible host and we had a great time talking with him about his property and would love to visit again.

My partner, Pyro (dog), and myself had a great stay at Jacob's property. We arrived a bit later in the evening due to heavy traffic and it was so nice to get out of the city and just relax. The kitchen area was a great spot to socialize with Jacob and his partner and a couple other guests. The setup is pretty neat and offers privacy from other hip camping guests and has some great views. We stayed in the tent and the beds and bedding were both very comfortable. The nice hot outdoor shower was a bonus to have and Gurtie (farm dog) was also a sweety.
