We absolutely loved our stay at So Cal Campground in Fallbrook! The property is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful scenic views—perfect for a relaxing escape from the city. Whether you're camping in an RV or a tent, the sites are well-kept and offer a really pleasant camping experience. The newly renovated bathrooms were a pleasant surprise—modern, spotless, and a definite upgrade from typical campground facilities. You can really tell the owners care about the guest experience. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. It was so nice to be able to bring our furry family member along and feel totally welcome. The entire campground felt very safe, family-friendly, and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and beautiful spot to camp in Southern California. We’ll definitely be back!

Great chill campground! For the most part you’re in your space, unless you have to go to the nice clean restroom or to take a nice warm shower. (Currently they are adding more showers, that’s a plus, it was over the holiday weekend and we had no trouble to wait for showers to open up either)… We got the chance to meet Fall and her husband, lovely couple! They brought a bottle of wine for us. We are a group of 12 , she hooked us up on a new site they are working on. To group us all together!!!! We had a fun time just chilling, we didn’t even go out to the beach like we were planning on. Thank you guys so much!

This campground is very pretty, and the hosts were so hospitable. We had 3 groups camping together (2 of us with trailers). The hosts were able to put us all in the same area, and welcomed my sister who arrived first with a vase of flowers and a bottle of wine. The showers/bathroom are very cute, clean, and many steps above the usual camping bathrooms. Be sure to read the hosts directions about how to get there. I accidentally went the way with the rough road. I survived, but re-reading my screenshot of the directions comforted me that I would still arrive at the destination and not dead end somewhere with my 17' Casita trailer. Cell phone reception is minimal, which our group liked since we could all take a break from that and enjoy camping together. There was a Gourd Festival next door nearby that we visited, which was fun. I would highly recommend this hipcamp location. It was beautiful and spacious. The hosts respond to messages quickly and were so accommodating. I didn't realize Fallbrook was so beautiful. Thank you for making our time special Fall!

1 night at Native Falls Campground

I absolutely loved staying here. We rented a pull in site with full hookups and it was nestled right next to another site, between two cabins, with an awesome view of the lake just a few feet in front of us. The place was recently renovated with a ton of things to do like paddle boats, paddle boards, water inflatables, fishing, a short hike around the property, and numerous communal firepits/BBQs. The place seemed well kept and maintained, we saw several attentive staff roaming around in golf carts through out the day. If you’re looking to camp in an area where there facilities and don’t mind running into people throughout the stay, this is the place for you.

This was a great location! This site is fairly new so we had the opportunity to pick our site when we got there. The owners were so helpful and welcoming. It was a perfect weekend and we even got a chance to walk to a nearby gourd farm for the Gourd festival! Look forward to our next stay!

It was beautiful on Nina’s land. We were looking for an “off the beaten path” place to spend the weekend and had the best weekend ever! David, the host, was great and most accommodating. He gave us a tour and talked about the property like the heaven it was! It was peaceful and quiet, lots of trails to hike and lots of birds, flora and fauna to see! We will definitely be back, especially to see the olives being harvested and made into olive oil! We purchased some to try! 5 star weekend!

For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher. One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home. It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. He will provide instructions. TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. The Hafen/Turner family further enhanced the marina's offerings by acquiring an additional three acres of land, allowing for even more growth and development. East of Los Angeles in the Inland Empire, San Bernardino sits at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains and the San Bernardino National Forest, home to coniferous trees, hiking trails, and snow-capped peaks. Two other nearby ranges—the San Gabriel Mountains and San Jacinto Mountains—multiply the region’s alpine options, while lower-elevation parks and preserves in the valley mean hiking and camping among native plants and chaparral. Aside from the mountains, San Bernardino is also about an hour's drive to Pacific beaches and 90 minutes to Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave Desert, making it a perfect location to explore both the highlights and hidden gems of Southern California wilderness.

San Bernardino Surrounds

For a quick nature excursion near San Bernardino, check out Box Springs Mountain Reserve Park, where you can get a panoramic view of the area from a 3,000-plus-foot peak. Chino Hills State Park is another great local option with more than 90 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The campground at Chino Hills has tent sites with picnic tables and restrooms, while RV travelers can also find a variety of San Bernardino RV parks with full hookups, free wifi, dump stations, and everything else needed for travel in a big rig or camper.

San Bernardino Mountains

Much of the San Bernardino Mountains north of the city are preserved by the San Bernardino National Forest. Within this park system are 42 campgrounds, hundreds of miles of trails, and the highest peak in Southern California: the 11,499-foot San Gorgonio Mountain. The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area and Big Bear Lake are also in this range, the latter of which sits at 6,752 feet of elevation and features a winter ski run.

Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness

The Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness spans 14,000 acres in the San Jacinto Mountains. With granite cliffs, Sequoia trees, and stunning views, this region feels more like the High Sierra than Southern California. There are campgrounds and rugged hiking trails near the park in Idyllwild, or you can start in Palm Springs and let the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway whisk you to 8,516 feet, where hiking trails depart from the tram’s Mountain Station.

There are year-round camping options in San Bernardino due to its proximity to varied climates. While the San Bernardino Valley can become uncomfortably hot in summer, this is a great season to camp at the more temperate beach and mountain areas nearby. Conversely, both the valley and nearby desert sites like Joshua Tree National Park are ideal for a winter camping getaway.
