all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

Just 15 minutes from restaurants, climb 700 feet up a mountainous access road in only 1.5 miles to a secluded Mountainous farm camping experience on a Regenerative Organic Avocado and Citrus grove, 501c3 Animal sanctuary and views of the city lights at night. The farm has over 700 avocados trees, citrus and nut trees. With pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and plenty of wildlife including: hawks, Owls, bunnies and more which all contribute to Regenerative Organic farming and offer viewing pleasure. The local area provides hiking, wildlife, mountain biking, lakes and 35 minutes to the nearest wine tasting in Temecula. We are an hour from the beach and roughly an hour and half to Skiing and Snowboarding at Mt. High. Minutes away from Santa Rosa Plateau for hiking. You are also a 15-30 minute drive to explore the amenities of the local cities, wine country and 45 minutes to the beach. The 21 acre property provides amazing views as well as biking and hiking along the local fire and farm roads. We offer Camping supplies such as tents or chairs if needed for a small rental fee as well as the ability to purchase fresh avocados, citrus or Farm fresh eggs from the grove. *Although children are permitted at most sites on the property (children are not permitted at the cabin or spring pool sites), we do not recommend bringing them due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty for the hike. We have 2 full outdoor bathrooms, one was most recently added at our Elderberry Camp Site (site 1), and is also close to site 4 our Oaks Campsite as well. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food.
We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

I love how far you are from other campers. Also our site had a stunning view. The fire pit area was great as well. Two water faucets near by was convenient. We met one of the dogs watching over the sheep and she was super friendly. My kids were really fond of her.

This is such a beautiful spot. For my boyfriend and I's first camping trip with our dog this was absolutely perfect! The views were incredible, and we were so close to so many possible activities in the area. We came to hike and were delighted to know you could start a hike directly from your campsite! We also got to see the farm animals which was such a treat. Shane is the most accommodating, he made sure to explain everything we needed, was always one message away, and hand delivered our eggs/fruit that we purchased off the farm right when we bought them! I definitely hope we can make it back to the farm one day, and we recommend anyone who has this spot as an option to make the booking!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Splitrock’s Hilltop Hideaway. We had the whole area to ourselves and stayed on the upper level which gave way to spectacular views of the entire valley. We had an unexpected treat as a whole tribe of goats came up and hung out with us for a while and one of their sweet dogs. Looking forward to going back in the summer and would highly recommend.

The facilities are really well kept, and the campsites are so far away from each other that it feels you are alone... lots of interesting hiking and let's not forget the stars of this trip, baby goats! We stayed two nights at Tabernacle and loved it! Very private, beautiful views, cool site, huge rocks and places to explore. Loved the goats that came through our site, though they tried to climb on our table as we were eating breakfast. The farm itself is fun and peaceful, we also did the baby goats experience and the kids loved it!
