Okihi is approximately 15 minutes east of Downtown Bakersfield. 20 minutes away from the 99 hwy or 178 hwy. Whichever way you are traveling, we are a great stopover point.
Sites are spread around on the east side of the property facing the river for beautiful river views while you sip coffee from your site. There are a multitude of recreation opportunities to enjoy.
On site is a work in progress and you will see project sites not fully completed. We have a hammock veranda that is fully shaded and a great place to relax along the river. Miles of biking paths run on the road right by where we are situated and there is a nearby river rafting company if you want the white water experience.
Most of our campers are road tripping, getting away from LA, or are looking for a stopover on their way to/from Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, etc. We are in a desert climate – cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Portable heaters or fans with misting options are available for rent.

Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Thank you.

Barbara and I bought it to save it from subdivision and it's now protected by a Conservation Easement and acts as a community center for the arts, music, poetry, gatherings and outdoor education. Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here!
"Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex.
My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's.
As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well!
The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo
Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :)

Enjoy a rustic, no-fuss stay on our 20-acre working farm just 15 miles south of Bakersfield, with easy freeway access. Campsites sit along the pond - perfect for catch-and-release fishing, paddle boarding, or kayaking. We have a small area with farm animals (goats, sheep, peacocks and chickens) for you to enjoy. CAMP RULES
No Pets – Our dogs roam freely and protect the farm and see other animals as threats. You will be asked to leave with no refund if you bring a pet.
Quiet Hours: 10 PM–7 AM. If we receive complaints about noise, you’ll be asked to leave immediately.
1 Tent + 1 Car are permitted per Site, with the exception of Site 4 which allows 2 tents/2 cars. If you are a large group with multiple tents and families, you will need to book multiple sites. Each site has a maximum capacity, so if you put in 12 people, it will not show you all the sites available - put in 4 people and then you can pick which combination of sites you would like for your group.
No tents or canopies on the grass/lawn area.

Weekend Trip to Bakersfield Farm Animals & Pond
Finding this gem so close to home was a weekend getaway dream. The water was essential in the heat, the swings were charming and the stand-up paddle boards were so fun. It was a quiet farm, and the dogs and duck hung out with us the entire time. We got the glamping tent and the bed was comfortable and a clean set-up. Bathroom and shower were great too.
Here are the only cons: the dogs can be a bit much, so if you are not a dog lover, maybe look elsewhere. Also, at night, many cockroaches came out (mid June) so you must be ok with bugs, and lastly, the pond fountain stayed on all night, so bring ear plugs because it is very loud!

We loved this place. My 4 year old had a blast wondering around the camp. The river with a private beach is amazing.
The cabin was super nice, very quiet, very secluded.
The full kitchen and refrigerator was also a nice touch.
Great base camp. The camp has WiFi so that’s nice. Close to town and right off the 190. We will be back for sure

Cabin was great, right next to several other cabins and the toilet, not too far from the communal kitchen. Beds were comfy and clean. We were a little spooked by the baby rattlesnakes that are prevalent this time of year, but it's high enough to be slightly cooler than the rest of the valley and see the stars.

Fantastic stay with Joe and Kim! The space is comfortable and exactly as detailed. They provided a BBQ grill for easy meals. Proximity to the Park and to the town are great. Definitely book, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic camp. Really really good energy there all around. The grounds are immaculate. View was a nice surprise, gorgeous especially under the full moon. Magical really. I really enjoyed the garden tour and the fresh seasonal apricots and carrots. Just all around great place. Would Def go back. Its very well done.

Moro Rock View Studio is a great place to stay close to Sequoia National Park entrance. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Joe is an excellent host, very responsive to answer any questions we had. We would highly recommend Joe's studio as a home base to explore the area.

Great spot right near sequoia! The RV was clean and had a lot of amenities such as a shower, microwave, and stove. Beds were also very comfortable and Samir was a nice host.
