Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California.
It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.
We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Such a great private retreat with our 3 pups! It has everything needed for a glamping getaway and more! Very clean all around. All amenities were there and taken care of well. Peaceful and absolutely beautiful! Nice swimming hole that we wished we could have jumped in but the weather was a bit chilly! We also stopped by the winery and met Leith who gave us a great rundown of the history which was a pleasant little bonus! We will come back next summer for a few more day with friends to enjoy!

I loved the property and the yurt in particular! It was very clean and had everything we needed. It made it so easy to enjoy the outdoors without having to bring all our tent and cooking items. The location was ideal for enjoying the surrounding falls and parks! We’d love to come back!

My wife and I came here last year, just the two of us and fell in love with it (and our hosts) immediately. We planned to bring our kids for our next family trip and they had a blast so another visit was in the xards. This time there were enough campers for Scott to fire up the pizza oven and make some delicious pizza for everyone. Scott is a wonderful guy, he has made special effort to accomodate us each time we've been there. This time he went and got paint for my daughter to paint rocks with. We all love Camp Stoney Meadows and look forward to our next visit

Alpen Vineyard Hideaway is wonderful! So thoughtfully created and operated. Coming to this glamping hideaway after a few nights of tent camping (which was lovely as well) was the perfect and comfortable way to end our multi-day camping trip! The Groves family have thought of nearly everything! The only recommended additions I would suggest guests bring are a tablecloth for the picnic table and a shade umbrella for the beach at the LOVELY swimming hole!
Keith, the winemaker/owner, and his family clearly love what they do, and enjoy sharing the rich history of their special valley and vineyard with others! Thank you to the Groves family and all who help make the winery and lodgings so wonderful!

Scott and Nora have created a magical landscape to explore like you’re a child again. Every part of it consists of beauty and thoughtful intention so you can fully enjoy nature. The Bunkhouse had AC, windows for ventilation and comfy cots! They give you keys to lock your rooms. A mini fridge and microwave are available to you as well. It truly felt like magic being there. We enjoyed the stream directly in front of our bunkhouse. A walk and a few steps down a hill away, is a DARLING swimming hole that we enjoyed - complete with inner tubes and a chair provided by the host. It was absolutely stunning. The shared bathroom, shower and outdoor kitchen was so clean and well kept. This was my first experience using this app and I think I got extremely lucky with finding this place.
There were children running around unplugged from technology, playing in the stream, riding ATV’s and they were just as welcoming as the hosts themselves! This may be a no brainer as well, but seeing the sky at night in their open field was probably my favorite part of the stay. I had never seen so many stars in my life. I hope that when I have kids, this little place is still running so I can bring them here to experience the magic I did.

The Alpen Cellars campsite was so wonderfully quiet and peaceful with a view of the vineyard and mountains. It was equipped with all the essentials needed for cooking, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom and shower facility clean, spacious and well equipped with soap, shampoo and also an assortment of sunscreen and bug spray in case you forgot your own.
We spent 4 nights, and we are already looking forward to coming next year.

We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back! If you love being off grid with a super friendly host, then you’ll love it too. Scott was the sweetest and checked in with us every morning. We unfortunately didn’t get to meet Nora but I heard she’s just as kind. We felt safe with the dogs watching over the property day and night, and they even tolerated our high energy puppy in training. The kids enjoyed swimming in the watering holes and creek to cool off as did the rest of us! The only downside was coming back to all the emails and texts that I truly didn’t miss!

We loved camping/glamping at Alpen Cellar’s. The camp site we stayed at overlooked their vineyard. Such a beautiful place to relax!! We enjoyed the wine tasting and the recommendations for fishing and sightseeing around the area. We were grateful they shared the swimming hole with us so we could cool off on a hot summers day. We got to know our neighbors at the site next to us. Our sites were private and equipped with a cooking stove and utensils to use. Their bathroom and shower room were so thoughtfully decorated.

This is the kind of place you don't want to ruin by encouraging more people to come! Wonderful place for those who are willing to slow down and enjoy a chill vibe. Scott and Nora are so amazingly kind and welcoming. Bunk room was a blessing in a crazy storm. Good for very well behaved dogs. bring your favorite pizza toppings for Saturday nights. Tasty water, super well stocked shared kitchen. So grateful for this experience.

Such a sweet spot! They really thought of everything when creating this spot. It was so nice to have a clean shower and running water. In the kitchen they have all necessities. The firewood was a big plus. The tent was cozy and perfect for the two of us with plenty of extra room. We loved being in walking distance to the water. We couldn't believe the other site wasn't booked up! Definitely go out to the winery and hear the story of how it all started and visit the beautiful horses. A very special place!

We had an awesome two-night stay at the cabin! Scott’s a fantastic host — super thoughtful and clearly knows how to take care of his guests. The campsite has some seriously scenic mountain views and a peaceful little creek running by that gives you instant “nature therapy.” 🌲🏕️ Would definitely love to go back again. Highly recommend!
Heads up: the last mile to the campsite isn’t paved, so be ready for a fun little pothole obstacle course

My friend and I loved staying in the Yurt at Lucas and Shelby’s place! Finding the place was seamless and the yurt had all the necessities, plus the bed is super comfy! The property is gorgeous and we loved seeing deer in the mornings and evenings. Lucas was a great host and did everything to make sure we were comfortable, including giving great recommendations for our day trips to Lassen and nearby waterfalls. Would definitely stay again the next time I’m in the area!

Lovely overall. Site was had great views. Tent was beautiful and we appreciated thoughtful touches, eg very comfortable chairs to look out over the vines, hooks, etc to have things laid out. Our dog loved the swimming hole and I loved the wine tasting. We were also pointed to a
