45mi from Pollock Pines · 2 sitesNestled in the forested hills just outside Nevada City, Still Moon Ranch offers peaceful, private luxury yurt stays with easy access to town and the river. We’re 7 minutes from downtown Nevada City, 13 minutes from Grass Valley, and roughly 15-20 minutes from multiple access points to the Yuba River.
You’ll feel worlds away from everything — surrounded by oaks, pines, and cedars — yet you’re close enough to grab dinner, explore shops, or catch live music in town. Still Moon Ranch is designed for rest, connection, and quiet. This is not a party property. We value the peaceful atmosphere of the land and our surrounding neighbors, so loud gatherings, amplified music, and late-night noise aren’t a fit here.
Each yurt is designed with simplicity and ease in mind—from the private hot tub and outdoor shower to the open lounge areas. Inside, you’ll find a king bed, kitchenette, and spa-inspired bathroom—plus heating, A/C, and a gas fireplace for year round comfort.
****Please note: during late summer and early fall, the neighboring organic cannabis farm can bring some strong seasonal aromas—most guests don’t mind, but we like to give a heads-up.****
Please read the house rules before booking:
• Quiet Retreat Vibe: This is a restful, nature-focused space—no loud music, excessive drinking, drugs or parties.
• Absolutely no smoking, candles, or barbecues- we live in an extremely high fire area.
•Cooking highly aromatic greasy foods like steak, fish, bacon and sausage is not permitted; the grease and food smells are extremely difficult to remove.
•No shoes inside- we encourage you to bring slippers!
•No eating in bed. Two dining areas are provided for your use. Food in bed can cause stains, and we strive to maintain high-quality linens for all guests.
Dogs on the Property:
You may encounter our dog, Otis (a medium-sized goldendoodle), or our neighbor’s golden retriever, Raffi, during your stay. Otis may bark when meeting new people, but both dogs are very gentle and friendly. Feel free to say hello—or simply ignore them—and they’ll wander off.
We acknowledge that Still Moon Ranch is located on the ancestral and unceded homelands of the Nisenan Tribe. We honor the Nisenan people, past, present, and emerging, and recognize their enduring relationship with this land.
