Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Just 15 minutes from restaurants, climb 700 feet up a mountainous access road in only 1.5 miles to a secluded Mountainous farm camping experience on a Regenerative Organic Avocado and Citrus grove, 501c3 Animal sanctuary and views of the city lights at night. The farm has over 700 avocados trees, citrus and nut trees. With pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and plenty of wildlife including: hawks, Owls, bunnies and more which all contribute to Regenerative Organic farming and offer viewing pleasure. The local area provides hiking, wildlife, mountain biking, lakes and 35 minutes to the nearest wine tasting in Temecula. We are an hour from the beach and roughly an hour and half to Skiing and Snowboarding at Mt. High. Minutes away from Santa Rosa Plateau for hiking. You are also a 15-30 minute drive to explore the amenities of the local cities, wine country and 45 minutes to the beach. The 21 acre property provides amazing views as well as biking and hiking along the local fire and farm roads. We offer Camping supplies such as tents or chairs if needed for a small rental fee as well as the ability to purchase fresh avocados, citrus or Farm fresh eggs from the grove. My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

This is such a beautiful spot. For my boyfriend and I's first camping trip with our dog this was absolutely perfect! The views were incredible, and we were so close to so many possible activities in the area. We came to hike and were delighted to know you could start a hike directly from your campsite! We also got to see the farm animals which was such a treat. Shane is the most accommodating, he made sure to explain everything we needed, was always one message away, and hand delivered our eggs/fruit that we purchased off the farm right when we bought them! I definitely hope we can make it back to the farm one day, and we recommend anyone who has this spot as an option to make the booking!

The restrooms at this campground were very clean, and we were able to stay very comfortably. I went with my son, and we felt very safe the entire time. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the different sites, and my son especially loved interacting with the goats. He had such a great time. It was a beautiful place, and we would definitely love to come back again.

Some of the nicer sites were gorgeous. The drive up was a bit intense on a winding cliff road.
Make sure you know what site you’re going to. I tired to ask but when I got there the signage was unclear. They made me take down my set up after dark and move to a different site, even though I followed the Oak Grove sign. The host said “sorry you have to move your shit” and left after giving me incorrect directions to the other site.
I am a female solo traveling and could not see to set up my tent and everything again in the dark so had to get a motel.
When I requested a refund since I didn’t even stay the night the host accused me of messing up another campers trip and purposefully choosing the expensive site. When it was just an accident because their signage was unclear. Hipcamp refunded me but the hosts refused and sent a very rude text in response to my request.
I wish I had a better experience, it was beautiful there but unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay and woudnt return without booking the more expensive sites or being able to check the whole camp ground to make sure I’m in the right area.

If you only visit one Hipcamp in your life, this should be on the list. This is not a layover stop as you travel up and down southern California, but rather it truly is a destination. Without hesitation the most enjoyable places we have ever experienced using Hipcamp.
We stayed during early February and were glad we had the amazing trees within the communal compound to provide shade. There is history here. You can tell this was a working farm in earlier days. And then Ben and perhaps others have a vision of what the land and amenities is for travelers and he truly has we nomads in mind. It’s just the right amount of conveniences nestled within a beautiful hilltop escape.
We had the central compound all to ourselves. That is for the herd of goats that maintain the landscaping. Quite a treat to enjoy an afternoon watching them graze in the 80° sun.
Ben has done a great job making the roads or trails well groomed for any vehicle and we took numerous dog walks in all different directions.
Adding to the experience is what we considered to be his extremely fair pricing. Not just for Southern California but for everywhere we have visited. We shall return.

FIRST TIMER— Visited for two days, was such a mesmerizing experience! Being able to camp in nature was a beauty! Such a great space, lots of trees, goats, and a Great Pyrenees that checks up on you here and there! The land is disbursed, so you can camp mostly anywhere— lots of spots! They have fire pits mostly at every spot— clean, earthy, and beautiful! Lots of space to go on walks/morning jogs! There are restrooms and a shower steps away from the campsite. Pretty clean secluded space up in Fallbrook! Definitely recommend to check it out for a weekend or a couple of days!
