Weekend Trip to Redwood Paradise Camping

Such a peaceful and serene retreat. Spent a great weekend here with my boys and will definitely be back. Serves as a great base camp to explore nearby towns and travel to the beach. Also has enough amenities to just kick back on property and enjoy a relaxing day. Marshall and Tanya were amazing hosts!

I loved camping on Ruth's land. I was at site 3 poolside and I was right next to the pool and the parking. First time ever camping right next to a pool!! Their place is in the Santa Cruz Mountains, yet was only 15 minutes from Felton and not much more to town. The location was very convenient as I forgot bug spray and had to go grab some at the store which was a quick drive. The property is surprisingly quiet, with the exception of their well pumping water every so often (barely noticeable). Marshall, Ruth's son, was telling me about the cleaning they've done in preparation for the season and it shows. His piano playing is very relaxing too! The rules they had were very reasonable, especially since its just a single mother with her son running this whole thing. Make sure to bring a small table because the sites don't have their own tables—which is something I would recommend to Ruth and Marshall! I can't wait to come again and bring my girlfriend:)

Ruth's place is great! Her son Marshall and the dog Snoopy are fantastic hosts (the coffee on the deck in the morning is a wonderful touch). We had a great time with our two young kids, they loved the trampolines and the swimming pool and we enjoyed relaxing in our very private campsite. We definitely recommend it and we hope to be back soon

2 nights at Tunitas Beach Overlook - Airstream

This spot was perfect for what I wanted for a quiet getaway. Deano was amazing! He was very informative before my arrival, and was there to provide real time instructions for a few things. He was easily reachable, which I appreciated. The Hipcamp spot was absolutely gorgeous and it afforded me a little coastal hideaway. My dog and I loved it so much!!!!

The yurt and hosts were amazing! The yurt was clean and cozy. We had no issues at all with our stay and the hosts were very accommodating. The entire site was beautiful and even had little turkeys roaming around during the day. Easy recommendation if you're looking for private yurt with a beautiful view.

Weekend Trip to May's Luxury Farmstays

This is a beautiful property!! It was so peaceful. We loved all the hens and roosters running around, they were so friendly. The koi pond is so cute with a nice deck and picnic table to eat or relax at. They even provided fish food, so that was cool. We also loved the mixture of rustic and modern in the cabin. There were tons of amenities like heated floors, fancy shower heads, pantry food, fresh eggs, full bar, fully stocked kitchen, and even stuff like swim toys, high chair, and pack n play for kids. I liked that both bedrooms had their own TV. And two full bathrooms was pretty sweet too! Comfy beds. Tons of extra pillows and blankets, even heated blankets. The deck had a fire pit and bbq, and even a sink. We didn’t get a chance to try the outdoor bathtub, but it looked relaxing! My only complaint is the living room furniture could use an update, the recliner part of the chair was broken, and the futon wasn’t the comfiest, but minor issue considering how awesome everything else about the place was. The owners were super accommodating, anything we needed they took care of right away. We felt very welcome there! And we already plan on coming back.

From the warm hosts, to the beautiful forested property and amazing views, we had a great experience and will definitely be back! Our tent was thoughtfully decorated and had all the comforts of home. The fresh eggs were a great way to start the day and the view from the fire pit area was an even better way to end a day.

We were looking for a private campsite just for our two families, and this place was absolutely perfect. It was quiet, peaceful, and had everything we needed. There were plenty of things to keep the kids entertained, too. Highly recommended!

My pups and I had a wonderful time! Nancy was so sweet and welcoming getting us settled in. The spot is comfortable and quiet with excellent amenities and plenty of space to spread out and relax. My pups ran around and had a great time chasing ground squirrels. They loved it so much I had to convince them to go to bed at night! Nancy also sent us lists she made of recommendations for parks and beaches they would enjoy! We will definitely come back!

1 night at Hidden Spring Ranch

although I read the information for Patricia‘s place and the welcome packet noting that there were other properties and people on the property, I didn’t quite understand how many folks to expect on site until Patricia came out to meet me. Yes, there are other folks who live on site, as well as visitors who are booked for their other sites, and they all sure the outdoor kitchen, outhouse, and communal facilities. I felt more at ease when Patricia explained that to me, as I was traveling solo for this stay. I was a previous review had said, neighbors are pretty close to site one, and I ended up moving to site two instead—which I did like more because of space, the fire pit, and the little hut with string lights and a charging outlet inside. I did request a firewood, bundle and use it in the fire pit in site two. I had a little room in the fridge to store leftovers, and I didn’t stay long enough to walk around the property and use the tub but I did enjoy my camping experience here a lot. You can hear cars from the site, but I slept like a baby. I did wake up with the animals, a little after dawn and around sunrise. I’m an early riser so that didn’t bother me, but for those that like to sleep in then maybe some earplugs might help. Also, the location is close to town driving-wise and I appreciate all of the recommendations in the welcome packet. I’d be down to stay here again!

this was a last minute booking and i’m happy i did. great little car camp spot. julie helped me back in when i arrived after 6. she had been in text communication with me all day about my arrival. it was nice. when i got there i took a hot shower, cooked a good dinner in the communal kitchen, talked to some of the other campers, enjoyed some of a shared campfire and then settled into my car. it was so quiet. quiet hours are enforced and the campers all respected it. it was so peaceful and was a beautiful morning wake up for an early start back to reality. definitely will return to stay in the glamping options!

We loved it. It is a nice cute campground with kitchen area. Especially the kitchen makes it easy to prepare food without the hassle of handling your own gas cooker. BBQ is possible. The toilets are clean and nicely decorated. It is 20 mins drive to the beach or 15mins to Mount Madonna.

Adorable little cabin in the redwoods, with upstairs lofted sleeping area (double bed), sleeps 2 people. Kitchen, stove, mini fridge and private bath. Stairs are very steep to loft, with open railing upstairs. Please review pic's before booking. Adults only. The larger main cabin on property, is rented separately. Our cabin is in the Santa Lucia mountains and immersed in nature. Please be aware that wildlife is apart of the rugged Big Sur Coast and mountains. Wildlife encounters are something that is not out of the ordinary. From raccoons, skunks, deer, mountain lions, bats, mice, spiders snakes and all types of birds. We have exceeded measures of to keep occurrances to a minimum and have monthly pest control services. BUT can't guarantee you will not be met with wildlife. ANY ENCOUNTERS DURING YOUR STAY, WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND. If you do not feel comfortable with the paragraph, then please do not book our cabins. Recommendations in Big Sur is Ventana Inn, Post Ranch or something in Carmel or Monterey. 1 Dog allowed, pre-approved by owner and $70fee. No aggressive breeds. Under 50 lbs. Must be leashed, picked up after, not allowed on furniture or left alone. Not allowed in the lofted sleeping area, due to step stairs, open railings. Not safe for animals! If you have a hairy dog, please keep the hair swept and under control. It is not fair for our cleaners to do de-fur the cabin. We allow dogs as a wonderful courtesy and don't want it abused. There is NO cell reception in our area, due to the mountain range. You loose reception once you leave Carmel and head south, or leave Big Sur and travel north to the property. WIFI is available but can be intermittent due to rural location. Text and wifi available, no cell reception, once logged into our internet. INTERNET IS NOT GUARANTEED DURING YOUR STAY. At the beginning of our road, it has a "road closed sign". You CAN get to our cabin. Our road is residential and a dead end. So there is not need to go past our cabin. All hiking and site seeing is along Hwy 1.

A home away from home, this hidden little gem is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the cities. Still located conveniently close to businesses of all kinds, including multiple downtown areas, HWY 17 and 85, 1 mile from Netflix. We are constantly working on our cottage style gardens, so there will always be gardens to enjoy for you. If you are interested in trying any of our homegrown veggies or fruits, just let us know. We love sharing our bounty. :) The space An actual hidden cottage tucked into a space full of vegetable and flower gardens. A six-chicken coop also runs the length of one side of the yard. There's also a private patio area to relax and unwind. The cottage is cute and simple, with an attic-like staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom. Enjoy your privacy in this unique and quaint space. P.S. This space may not be the best suited for elderly, disabled, or very young guests. Guest access The entire cottage is all yours, with a private entryway. We have an open patio area just outside the cottage with outdoor seating and tables. There is also a charcoal barbecue available upon request, as the hosts may be using it. It is a great spot to sit and unwind while watching and listening to the chickens, watching the sun set, and gazing. The garden area is shared with the hosts. Other things to note You, as our guest, always have privacy in the indoors of your space. The outside areas are mostly shared between my family, pets, and our guests, but the outdoor patio is all yours(we only access this when guests are present if we need to do some yard work). Enjoy yourselves, and be wary of doggies when pulling in the driveway! It is an in-laws quarters type house and shares one wall with the main house of the property. The door that connects the homes is completely sealed off and inaccessible to both parties. Please keep in mind that this is not a space suitable for very young, disabled, or elderly guests, due to the attic-like staircase mentioned above.

We are committed to provide good beds and beddings because we know how important good sleep is (even when you camp!) so we just spent time, money and energy to replace all of our camping mattresses with memory foam mattresses!!! We had people swear that this is the best bed they ever slept in. The campground is located in a serene oak grove area of the property. Its a peaceful getaway with an abundance of bird varieties and occasional wild turkeys passing through. Take a stroll around our 5-acre property and catch a breathtaking sunset from the hillside. We're only 11 minutes away from Mount Madonna State Park and just 10 minutes from a local healthy grocery store and yoga studio. PLEASE READ Hello all! If you're looking for some glamping with creature comforts, while just being 10 minutes away from restaurants. This is the place for you. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES Pack out your trash. Rinse feet before using the pool. No pool toys or floaties. Always supervise kids. Don’t sit on chair edges or pool cover box. Use stumps or your own table for cooking (not ours). Keep the area clean—no food scraps on the ground. No dogs in the pool area; leashes and cleanup required. No eating in rooms or cabin. Check out on the deck. No smoking (vapes only, away from common areas). Our yurt and treehouse are located on Lago Lomita Vineyards with a view of the entire Monterey Bay. We've been hosting guests since 2015 and are looking forward to meeting you! Both our treehouse and yurt listings are unique experiences. They both are adjacent to the Tierra Madre Vineyard Block and have awesome views of the entire Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean. We are located on 44 acres high atop the Santa Cruz Mountains but close to all the major beaches and Silicon Valley. Please be aware this is camping in nature, along with squirrels, spiders, falling leaves, etc. and nature is not always for everyone. There is a 45ft. ladder to climb to get into the treehouse. The view at sunset is spectacular. Featured on the first page of top Glamping destinations in California, in National Geographic's 50 States, 500 campgrounds. Both sites include a trunk of goodies: Complimentary trunk of goodies that is filled with muffins, mugs, creamer, sugar, coffee, croissants, cards, champagne & wine glasses & wine opener! We acquired the property in 1991, shortly after the Lexington Fire (1985) and Loma Prieta earthquake (1989). At that time, the entire property has degenerated into disrepair, and all the vineyards had been overwhelmed by the wilderness. In 2011, we started the herculean effort of clearing away the wilderness, resurrecting all the vineyards and renovating our home. In 2014, we started replanting the vineyards, and opened our tree house to visitors in 2015. Just like us, I think you will fall in love with this property, and enjoy every minute of your time here. Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on a Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Each tent has beds, down comforters, crisp cotton linens, lights, and more. Outdoor and indoor furniture and little touches that will make your stay unique. Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain). All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days. We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light. Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm. If you're interested in meeting our friendly farm animals, get in touch, and we'll be delighted to arrange a visit at a time that works best for you and them. Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent. Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products. A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area (bring charcoal). KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride. Tent 01 (180sqft) accommodates 3 people in a queen-size bed and a daybed. Tent 02 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a bunk bed and an outdoor suspended net Tent 03 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a twin bed + daybed and an outdoor propane stove, hangout deck Recently added: an apartment w a hot tub Kids under the age of 10 are not allowed.
