I recently fixed up our old 1949 tear drop camper for staying in after it had been abandoned for 30 years. It’s equipped with solar power, a gas burner, a pump sink, and a cooler. This is a place for people that love old stuff! No marble countertops and stainless steel will be found. For lovers of the funky. There’s an outhouse, an outdoor shower, and a 9 foot deep swimming pool too. We’re situated between the San Andreas fault and the the Little San Bernardino Mountains, so spectacular hikes are a short walk away. After every golden sunset, the stars do not disappoint.

Running water, flushing toilet, hot shower, a stove, coffee maker, and the queen size bed provides restful night sleep, Relax outside enjoy Nature! Soak up the sun in the cowboy tubs. This is an amazing place to stay . The view is beautiful and the property is beautiful . We had perfect viewing of the lunar eclipse. The site is also very private and cozy but still close to the accommodations. The kitchen has anything you need to cook. Caitriona was a great host ! I highly recommend staying here.

2 nights at Manzanita Village Retreat

I couldn't believe how vast and open the landscape was. Near the hermitage are some chairs overlooking the field below, which is a perfect place to watch the sunset and also for stargazing. The view of the night sky here is just incredible — I did some open-eye meditating under the stars and it was a profoundly tranquil experience. There's a beautiful array of chaparral forest flora – I recommend venturing a bit down the path directly in front of the hermitage, which feels like an oasis. I also suggest hiking up the hill beyond the kitchen building, where you can get a panoramic view of the entire area. Birdwatchers will have a field day: I spotted many different varieties; as well as a jackrabbit and a few lizards. The hermitage is tucked away and felt very private, while still being only about a 5 minute walk from the bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor dining area. The kitchen itself has everything you could possibly need: stovetop, oven, microwave, and a wide variety of pots, pans, utensils, strainers, etc. Tom was a friendly and responsive host. A few things to be aware of: - There's no outlets in the hermitage, so be prepared to charge your phone in the kitchen or dining area if needed. - The hermitage gets hot during the summer day and stays warm at night, even with the window open. - There were some spiders in the bathroom, and 3 hitched a ride home in my overnight bag. They're harmless, but worth noting if you're an arachnophobe. - Bring a headlamp. It gets dark.

1 night at The Cabins at Joshua Tree Lake RV

We absolutely loved the cabins and highly recommend them to anyone that doesn’t feel like pitching up a tent and just wants to enjoy the outdoors without all the hassle. We went in the summer and it was amazing to have AC with how hot it was in Joshua Tree. There was also bathrooms, not too far away and showers that didn’t require a coins. The queen bed was super comfy and so was the the futon couch which opens up. We fit three pretty big people in there and no one felt squished. We all hope to come back again. Also awesome price for a tiny getaway!

Weekend Trip to Agave Azul Del Sol

Eric’s site was phenomenal!! The bathroom was very clean and the cabin had everything and more that you could possibly need - activities, AC, first aid, lighters, yoga mat/foam roller, extra blankets etc. As a solo female camper, it felt incredibly safe and private. Laying out under the 360 view blew my mind - I saw the sun set, the moon rise, constellations travel across the sky, and got to see 18 shooting stars with the meteor showers happening!! The fire pit was easy to use and had great seating areas around it. Eric was kind and accommodating - I highly recommend a stay here for anyone who’s looking to unplug, connect with nature and reset. I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed - can’t wait to come back 😊 Thank you for sharing this paradise Eric!

The perfect getaway for my dog and I. The entire property is thoughtfully planned out, clean and organized. Ken had the AC running for me prior to my arrival which was incredibly nice on a hot day. I will definitely be back. Thanks Ken!

Eric was so kind and thoughtful; asking us if we needed anything from the store and checking in on us. The place was wonderful! The view was amazing and at night, it was breathtaking with the stars shining bright. It was very peaceful and relaxing. There was a grill and compostable toilet perfect for anyone that wants to try glamping! Very much recommended!!

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain

Spent an amazing night at Eagles Night. The cabin was really well thought out and beautifully set into the hillside and rock formations. We were looking for a place to spend a night under the stars on our way down to San Diego from LA and couldn’t take our camping kit with us. This was the perfect alternative. Everything’s provided. Just need to bring food and drinks.

We needed a get away. -You don’t need to bring much,everything is pretty much there, I brought some rigatoni and just reheated for dinner. Took our dog and she enjoyed the place as much as we did. Ken’s place is well designed and serene which made our stay wonderful and restful.

We had such a wonderful stay here for my boyfriend’s birthday! We chose the RV for a glamping getaway, and it exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and answered any questions we had right away, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We also really appreciated the thoughtful complimentary items—they were neatly organized and made us feel so welcomed. The location was perfect for exploring Palomar Mountain and enjoying the surrounding nature while still having a cozy place to come back to. It was also a great place to bring our furry family member, which made the trip even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better birthday getaway and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend! 😊❤️

Weekend Trip to The Happy Camper

This was our second visit to the Happy Camper and we loved this spot just as much as the first time. Peace and quiet was what we were after and that's what we got. Lots of special perks were included such as spare toothbrushes in case you forgot one. Plenty of firewood for having a fire and access to ice. The bed was comfortable too. We would definetly stay here again. Davida was a wonderful host.

I spent the morning sitting in a tub of mineral water, listening to the wind whooshing through the date palms, and the sound of birds. And I couldn’t hear anything else at all. It was so incredibly peaceful and private and lovely.

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain

Really loved staying at Ken’s Black Cedar Cabin. We just wanted a quiet place to escape the fireworks on 4th of July weekend but got a much more serene and relaxing weekend than we were anticipating! It’s just up the hill enough to give sweeping views of the valley, with a lovely view of Mt San Jacinto in the distance. You can tell Ken built this cabin with love, it had a lot of nice details that make the stay cozy, like the bathroom light for late night runs, the perfect elevation of the cabin for a beautiful view, and the maintenance of brush for privacy and shade. Really hope to come back!
