Weekend Trip to Country Comfortable

Mona’s place was amazing. It was so peaceful and comforting. The trailer was great and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Dale was so welcoming and was around just in case we needed anything. The kids loved the river and had a blast. I can’t wait to stay here again.

We had a great experience Remeadies! Jennifer and John were wonderful hosts. They took us through a really fun tasting. We had some of the focaccia which was excellent, and my family made pizza with them for one of our night stays, which was a real treat. The camping location is close to the national parks, quiet and beautiful. We would definitely stay there again. We are also really enjoyed the mead and ended up buying some to take home. It was delicious. We got a great education on the process of making mead and the history behind it.

John and Jenn are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed everything about their place - lovely trees, misters to keep cool since it was a hot weekend, mead tasting, delicious focaccia and sour dough bread. Our first Hip Camp experience may have spoiled us!!

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Incredible incredible. Wendi is such a wonderful host and truly made us feel at home. This place was absolutely perfect for what my friend and I were looking for. If you want to feel like you’re a fairy in Pixie Hollow or like you’re a kid again playing in the forest, book this place. The river was perfect to swim in. We got the Tipi campsite, which unexpectedly came with its own reading nook. Two lawn chairs to stargaze at night. Got a healing from Wendi herself which was so sweet. Truly a wonderful person and wonderful spot. Come here to heal, play, disconnect, adventure. So close to the park as well.

We had a great time staying at Jennifer’s place. She welcomed us when we arrived and showed us where to set up camp. The camp area was next to their tasting patio. You could camp either on fake grass (which was really nice) or dirt if you needed to stake your tent. This grass area had a nice set of patio chairs that you could hang out on. The bathroom was only a few feet away and very spacious.

This place is so awesome! The campsites were well spaced out and it was close to the Sequoia National Park entrance. Bathrooms were nice and spacious and the zip line and giant trampoline kept our kids busy! Spencer and his daughter Ashlyn were so nice and accommodating. Our kids really miss Ashlyn and made sure we would come back to visit in the future. I give this place 10 stars out of 5!

Weekend Trip to Dunlap Canyon Retreat

The location was lovely. Had a pond to walk to a short distance away. Great for taking my pup on morning and evening walks. All the amenities were provided - hot showers, clean bathrooms, fire pits, nite time lighting to get to bathhouse. Whether you are RV or tent camping or want to reserve a yurt, I highly recommend. Spencer was a great host- helped me make sure my car was running properly before I left. Only suggestion if driving over from Kings Canyon NP, not advised to take the Millwood exit from the highway. Very winding road. Better to take Dunlap turnoff a few miles further down highway. Puts you at lower end of Milwood.

This is a prime spot. Dale and Mona have a beautiful place. As you drive down the driveway, the property is deceptive. When you venture behind the house, it opens onto a beautiful sandy beach area along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed talks on the dock, dips in the river, and the warmth of the sun and our host. Mona's place can accommodate RVs, tents, and those who like to glamp in one of the RVs on site.

Everything was great only thing I didn’t like is that there was horses pop all around, we have to clean up the pop to set up the tent.

Great spot. Great host. They also had some friendly cats and a dog that that came and hung out with us which was awesome. Minutes from the lake and Sequoia. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Camping here was very relaxing and a much needed for a Thursday-Saturday stay. The directions were very detailed and communication with Mona was superb. It was such a huge help as I was setting up tent/camp in the dark. I regret not taking my SUP board but hope to visit again soon and will take advantage of the river while it’s still in season. I would definitely recommend.

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Kings Canyon Retreat

Owners are very friendly and they gave us extra water. Shower is very clean and awesome experience. Campsites are clean and with flat ground to put our tent on. It was a quiet private night with a great view. Woke up with the sun and animals surrounding the campsite. Horses next door are very pretty too.

5 nights at Lemon Cove Village RV Park

This campground worked out well for two motorhomes. No shade in our two area but that’s fine. We cooled off at their pool. Very nice folks and workers, even asked a worker in a golf cart to transfer my wife from our site to the pool. He made himself available for her returns as well. His name is Adrian, well done young man.

A seasonal 2 acre pond. We are about 25mi from sequoia and Kings Canyon right off the Highway 180 and a close drive from restaurants, stores. Beautiful views. We strive to make sure you have an amazing experience in the outdoors. We are still working on making the campground 100% so sorry in advance but what we are lacking we will make up for it with making your experience memorable hope to meet everyone soon P.S I got 6 things ask you to do while you are here 1.Enjoy your time here 2. Community building 3. Environmentalism and Sustainability If you're coming July-Mid August, please know it is HOT (95 average/75 night) and wildfires are a consistent threat. With that, wildfire prevention is a high priority. We have a lot of projects we have started and could use all the help we can get! Some of those are: - invasive species management - tiny home building - gardening/greenhouse building - event space building - raising livestock - medicinal plant growing + onsite apothecary (Come volunteer build the food forest and medicinal garden) Come book a cabin, park a bus or RV, bring a tent, bring your cat/dog!

Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here! "Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex. My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's. As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well! The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :)
