When you arrive, you will see our four alpacas in their pen, a mini donkey, two Nigerian dwarf goats, and maybe a few cats. Weekend Trip to Remeadies Intoxicating Potions

This experience was amazing!! They have the sweetest friendliest pets and a beautiful garden to peruse. My bf and I did a tasting and got some fresh focaccia in the morning which was delicious. Definitely a great stay even in the cold months. Bathroom was very clean and large and indoors!

The trailer is nestled between an abundance of greenery and the A-Frame cabin.

Great getaway place, everything was perfect. Wendy definitely makes this a special place. Pictures of what the place is are on point, ypu have everything you could thing off, loved the eggs, you have acess to the river super close to Sequoia if that is something you want to do. Def a place to be free and enjoy nature, would def love to come back! Wendy is such a great host.

2 nights at OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Absolutely awesome and unique place to stay. Wendi is genuinely such a wonderful host. Her animals are all absolutely lovely to have around. Loved staying in the little vintage trailer and really enjoyed getting to sit under the stars next to a little fire every night. Her spot is right on the river and I def recommend taking a dip and laying in the hammock as the sun rises. Location is great if you are planning on going into Sequoia National Park for some adventures too!

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Cannot recommend this Hipcamp enough! The property is perfect for a weekend getaway, and Wendi is an incredible host and truly a gem of a human, as other reviewers have also commented. We stayed in the teepee next to the reading nook and had everything we needed: a fan, light, and outlet inside the tent; dishes and cutlery and a camping stove (though we brought our own); a cooking area, an eating area, and two pool chairs to lay out. The reading nook provided a chill space to watch a movie on our iPad at night, and a quiet place for reading and meditation during the day. Outside, the property had so much to offer: plenty of animals all with unique personalities, river access (water was flowing in late September), and serene nature all around. The grocery store is less than a 5 minute drive away. Wendi deserves her own shoutout apart from the property and sleeping/playing amenities. She is an amazing host and an absolute joy to chat with. Knowing it was my boyfriend’s birthday, she went out of her way to have a cupcake and candle prepared for us in the nook! But it didn’t stop there — she also washed our dishes for us and prepared our firewood each night. She made our trip a relaxing getaway. There’s so much I could say in this review, but I’ll leave it at that and say: you have to visit Pixie’s Place for yourself if you want to experience the magic! We came as strangers and left with a new friend, and we will be back because our experience was that unique. Love you, Wendi!

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Wendy was an absolute treasure. So welcoming and so thoughtful. Provided so many little things that made us feel right at home (left salt and pepper out for us when we forgot, washed our dishes despite our insistence, provided clean towels, etc.). She goes above and beyond for her HipCampers. The Tipi was so comfortable and had a little reading nook/shed that comes along with it. Perfect for changing, hanging out, and storage. Awesome station for cooking, picnic table for eating, and lounge chairs for stargazing. The animals were so amazing too! Mark was a great host and so welcoming. The area where we stayed in was really nice and had some shade. Parking wasn’t far from the tents and the wagon that he lets you borrow for your things was really helpful. Would definitely camp here again!!

Weekend Trip to Remeadies Intoxicating Potions

Car camped at Remeadies, and had an excellent stay! Directions were very helpful, space was great, and Jennifer and John were so welcoming. Definitely plan time to arrive for a mead tasting (the guided tasting is totally worth it, they have so much knowledge and information to share!), and the bread is absolutely fantastic. They have a fun outdoor space with a couple different parking/ setup locations, and a clean, well-lit, large single use bathroom . It was the perfect stop on my way to Kings Canyon/ Sequoia National Park, and definitely want to come back to try their next seasonal meads!

Weekend Trip to Madera,CA Countryside Ranch Camping

We arrived late and Arnold still greeted us and helped us settle in! This was the perfect stop on our way into Yosemite the next day. There was a bathroom to freshen up, and the site was level and easy to maneuver around. Nice spot and kind hosts. Thanks!

4 nights at Blue Moon Orchard Retreat

We had everything we needed! Highlights included the extremely friendly farm cat, making friends with the sheep, bats silhouetted against the sunset hunting insects, and seeing shooting stars despite a nearly full moon. Nearby Slick Rock Recreation area is our favorite place to swim when the water level is low in the heat of late summer. It's also a very short drive to Sequoia and another favorite spot, Hospital Rock with ancient petroglyphs and beautiful waterfall. Only downsde was a very loud industrial noise that went on and on Monday morning that woke us up at 2:30am and made it difficult to get back to sleep. Might have been a nearby citrus packing place? Even that wasn't so bad. We got up for a while and enjoyed the moonlight and a campfire.

Weekend Trip to Country Comfortable

Mona’s place is an amazing camping site, which includes wonderful river access and several options for tent locations under the trees in the shade. It has all you need for a luxury camping experience: refrigerator, shower, and restrooms, all well maintained. Also, Mona is very kind allowing us to use their kayaks! The top experience for the kids was the swing over the river enables a great jumping experience to the river. Also , in the area you can finch plenty of well maintained pick-nick tables, umbrellas, and chairs. In a 5-10 drive you can find stores for the basic supplies you need including groceries if you missed anything…☺️ We had lovely camping experience at Mona’s place, warmly recommended for others and we will be more than happy to be back again! Weekend Trip to Blue Moon Orchard Retreat

We stayed here overnight to get an early start up to the Sequoias. It was a comfortable and private space to set up a tent. The hosts greeted us and gave us the basics on where to find everything, including the porta potties which are not too far from the camp area. My nieces enjoyed the local stray cat and the chickens. We woke up to the roosters crowing which was ok with me as we wanted to get an early start. Although it was hot during the day, it was in the '60s at night during this time frame and it was very comfortable. The town itself is very small but Porterville is not too far away to the South as well as Three Rivers to the North as you make the trek up to the National Park.

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Wendi's land is magic! My best friend and I stayed in the camper and absolutely loved it. We dipped in the river each morning and night, sat by the stars, cooked outside of the camper, and even got to chat with Wendi a bunch. She is so passionate about what she does, about the animals that she cares for and the land. This was a wonderful experience and I want to come back in the spring!

Weekend Trip to The Westside Island

Amazing space! Super nice and clean restrooms. They had everyone talking! All the great upkeep and maintenance on this place definitely didn’t go unnoticed. Gorgeous spot and perfect for a large group like ours. Thank you guys we definitely will be back! A lot of amazing memories made here.
