Rock and Tree grounds were a magical and perfect spot for us to camp for the night in our Subaru with a Roof Top Tent. Tons of flat open space with trees to stay near. Easy and quick to get to off the freeway. So many comfortable spots to enjoy on the property: creative covered seating areas, cool gazebo lounges, hammocks, perfect artistic solar lit spaces abound. Taryn and Taylor were so upbeat and easy to work with and get us set up. Running cold water, primative toilets, perfect for what we needed to stay the night. Thank you!!!

What a great property!! We were the only campers that stayed at the Oaks Grove community during our mid week stay, the dogs loved the freedom. We hiked around the property seeing the unique private campsites, domes, the “rainforest “ and of course the pigs and goats. This is a great location for group meetups or a private getaway. We’ll be back.

We recently spent a relaxing weekend camping at Ed’s property in Lake Elsinore, and it was exactly what we were hoping for! Booked through Hipcamp, the process was smooth and Ed was a responsive and welcoming host. The campsite itself was clean, spacious, and had stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills. We loved how peaceful and quiet the area was—perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. Whether you’re into hiking, birdwatching, or just looking to unwind under the stars, this spot is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful camping experience not too far from the city!

Had a great time at the Boondock! A good, straightforward base camp for traveling around Palm Springs and the high desert nearby. Very windy as mentioned, but that's worth it for the beautiful views of the mountain and the calm of the area.

We LOVED the ranch! The spot (11) was absolutely beautiful, there was a grill and two picnic tables provided and a fire pit too! We had trees and privacy and a great view of horses. The host TJ (Tony) was fabulous and spent time making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. 10/10 definitely recommend for your next trip!

Weekend Trip to Villa Macala

The camp host David was so welcoming and made it a wonderful experience! The camp site is so much more beautiful in person than the pics can even express. It’s easy access to your car and bathroom, but you feel so secluded in your own little world in this hidden gem among the trees. Gorgeous views from the site and more if you want to explore on a few trails. There’s an outlet and fresh drinking water at the site so you’re not going without. The tent pad was just big enough for my 5-person tent, you couldn’t fit any bigger. Two picnic tables under the trees for shade, a cooking fire stove then a fire pit for s’mores and hotdogs. I can’t wait to go back, a lovely place!

1 night at Campo Nopalito

I can't say enough good things about Jacob's land. I stayed in the Coyote Cabana and loved it!! I could lay in bed and watch the fire. The beds were comfortable and enough blankets for a cold night. The community kitchen and bathrooms were stocked and clean. I was excited to learn, and Jacob graciously taught me, about the pizza oven. Jacob was welcoming and kind and his passion for the land showed. I am thankful for my experience!

Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. One of the last remaining undeveloped parts of Southern California, De Luz Heights is located adjacent to the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Margarita River (just a few miles from the campsite). On my 60 acres, there are no major roads going through or next to the property. My land is 13 miles from the Pacific ocean and enjoys a relatively mild yearly climate. Giant boulders provide topographical relief and offer platforms from which to enjoy the view of the nearby Santa Margarita Mountains. The valley views are filled with olive and avocado groves, vineyards, and horse ranches. The Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base is nearby, so you might hear some artillery in the distance on some occasions. The campsite embraces all the comforts of "glamping": a hot shower, composting toilet, beds with sheets provided, gas grill with a stovetop, pots and pans, kitchenware, a sink, picnic table, shaded deck, sofa, lounge chairs, and propane fire pit. The basics are provided: toilet paper, paper towels, purified drinking water, towels, sheets, cooking oil, etc. Campers need to bring their own blankets. I've created a network of hiking trails for especially fit hikers looking for a more rigorous hike than the nearby Santa Margarita River Trail. My trails lead through creek beds, over boulders, through rocky crags, with views of the Pacific ocean on a clear day. Hikers on my trails need to wear proper hiking boots with good traction. Sections of my trails will require bouldering with hands and feet. Expect to have fatigued quadriceps, some scrapes, and a sweaty hat brim. The campsite is accessible with a two-wheel drive vehicle; I drive a Kia Forte out there regularly. However, some tips when driving a two-wheel drive car: when going uphill on a dirt road, try to keep some momentum of about 12-15 MPH. If you stop and try to start again, your tires will spin out. If that happens, just reverse down the hill, and try it again with more momentum.

You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels).
